    great pattern, thank you for sharing!
    I ended up going around the border of the leaf with single crochet (adding in a few increases at the curves) to tidy up the sides and make it more stable. I used the leaf base together with a small sprout leaf to make headphone decorations and it turned out great!
    also noticed once again my chain tension was a bit too tight on the first time, it bunched together the other stitches a bit so it wasn't as flat. so if anyone struggles with tight chains, a simple fix is just going up a hook size for the chains and then switching to a smaller recommended hook size for the regular stitches

    Love your pattern!! Thank you so much for this tutorial. I wanted to make a trivet for my friend in this design, so I made the leaf bigger by increasing the stitches and I also did one side white and one side green. It turned out really nice! Also if anyone isn't sure how to increase, I started with ch14 instead, followed the same pattern until the last row on one side, then continued by making 2sc in the 12th and 13th stitch, ch7, sl st to the 6th stitch, ch2, made (7dc, 1hdc, 3sc) over the chain, then ended with 1sc in the 14th stitch.

    • @MakeItYourselfByPapari

    Every single leaf I’ve attempted hasn’t turned out like the ones shown, they’re wonky and they don’t lay flat, I’ve tried this 10 times I don’t know how this is happening it’s so frustrating

    • @MakeItYourselfByPapari
      @MakeItYourselfByPapari  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh I am sorry about that, I think it may be the yarn that you used. I made these with milk cotton yarn, even cotton yarn should work well. You can also block the leaves to make them flat. I generally use a stiffening spray and place the appliqué under a heavy pan or something similar. Hope these tips help. 😊💕

      @kaseyhutchinson9241 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hey! hope you found what works for you, but if not, i found that when trying this pattern i used a 3.0 hook and it was too small and so the stitches were too tight for the leaf to lay flat. i used a 4.0/4.5 and it work heaps easier :))
