i can not for the life of me understand why anyone thought that yapping terrier Olivier had a voice suited for Shakespeare..... then along came Alan Rickman whose deeply beautiful, at times delightfully menacing purr owned our ears and caressed our hearts exquisitely, incomparably, with absolute perfection.
I understand and agree COMPLETELY! He was such a humble attention-grabber, in the way he didn't intend to do it, but all eyes would absolutely be on him!!
How painful is that, to listen to his voice 5 years after his passing. Yes, even "after all these years", he ALWAYS will be in our hearts instead of cutting them with a spoon.
@@robertaferugheli4957 Ooh, I envy your friend. Is that the play you saw? I wish I had seen that one! I saw him in “Seminar” and managed to meet him and get his autograph afterwards. Saw it twice, actually.
He definitely deserved every award including a Oscar for playing the late great severus Tobias snape in the harry Potter franchise he was so good at being the greatest badass iconic legendary antihero of all time
He basically said that Rasputin was a great role - well-written, acknowledging that a great performance depends on the writing as well as the acting. The joke was that there should be an award for "best acting in crummiest role" (meaning best acting despite poorly-written role) to really test someone's acting skills. He was basically trying to be humble.
@@butterflyreflections, no, I don't think it's poorly written. I think by crummiest he meant filthy. Cause it was. I was literally shocked. But he did such a wonderful job. He deserved an Oscar for it.
J'avoue son noeud de papillon ^^ Génial cet acteur le meilleur de tous les temps ♥♥ J'ai pas tout compris notamment pourquoi ils rigolent mais rien que d'entendre sa voix c'est *__*
He also played Hamlet onstage and Antony in Antony And Cleopatra. I don’t know if he ever did any other Shakespearean roles. I would have loved to have seen him play King Lear.
He deserved it. Actually, he deserves to have won a lot more awards.
damn You said this from the bottom of your heart before he even died
@@ultimateanakin5069 Of course. I felt it then and I do, even more so, now.

His aura is really different compared to the other actors like no matter what, your focus would be on him.

I was thinking. Did Alan perform Shakespeare?
Yes, he played Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet in 1978.
He also played Hamlet onstage and Antony in Antony And Cleopatra. I don’t know if he ever did any other Shakespearean roles. I would have loved to have seen him play King Lear.
