I’m not gonna lie, this might be one of the better hair transplants I’ve ever seen.
That being said, I love having an idgaf buzz cut and thick beard. To each their own tho.
I'm not sure, but aside from a rather mild receding hairline, his hair actually looked pretty darn thick to begin with.

Man, I know what you're talking about. I was going through the same thoughts, and before I knew it, the time had moved forward faster than I had realized. I like that I can now brush my hair, and I'm not feeling like a sown head that strangers put together like a puzzle. But I'm glad I did it.
I had the same with the scarring, unfortunately I was bit too agressively after around 16 days and they we’re not really recovered, and had some open wounds (nothing to crazy)
Hope I don’t keep scars of it though, but we”ll see.

I just wanna tell every person who is suffering from receding hairline, balding ,etc in an early age like me ( I am 18 ) that it's okay ik you are suffering right now like me but I have made this mindset that till 25-26 I will use medication only like minoxidil, finastride etc , and till that time I will work on my body , face , beard , earning money and then at the age of 27 I will get my hair transplant done ✅ why to cry now ? Work on yourself, work on other stuff and just imagine yourself when u will get a good hair line you will have money body everything
you are correct, do everything to maintain your hair now and do a transplant later if needed. most doctors will not let a 18 year old or even under 25 do the transplant anyways
Keep in mind you have a limit on donor hair. The more you localise the grafts in one area, the less you'll have for the coverage of the rest of your head, and nontransplanted hair will likely continue to fall out, even though the meds slow it down, it's a different rate for everyone. Your may end up with a strong hairline but significantly thinner hair behind it. Good luck.

@@klaus9060 yes, see a doctor. But overall, medical therapy can help you greatly, in preventing your hair, if you are just 18 and you are already conscious about your condition, all the better, prevention works best the sooner it has begun

Apaet frpm tue fact that npbody 'need' a hair transplant. I think for a lot of men finisteride is not a go to optiom due to the side effects. Sometimes an operation is a hetter option. Altough his hairline was not that bad. The result is actually really good.

If you have a receding hairline, wouldn't the recession proceed behind and beyond the transplant as you continue to age?
Are you worried about damaging the receding area in the same ways you were prior to the surgery, or are the new areas considered to be more permanent/strong?
During the first few months, can you wear a hat or something to hide the transplant for at least part of the day? What about those of us who have to be presentable for our jobs; what would you advise if we want to hide our transplant?
What is daily maintenance like? Not just post surgery, but for the rest of your life?
What are you advised to avoid post transplant? Wearing hats for too long, certain hair style products, too much sun, high heat hair dryers, hair dye, hot showers, etc?

My scalp was very itchy firdt month or 2 amd they say dont stay in sun for long or redness can stay on your skin. Im going on month 4 of my fue 1300 grafts. So far so good still healing i have black thick short hair. I wanna point out after my fue i felt more confident even with just the frame of it
These are the 10 things you really should know before deciding on a transplant:
1. Your native non-transplanted hair will continue its hair loss pattern without intervention or medical therapy. If have lost hair in early 20's then it is probably not worth the transplant, as you will likely lose the rest of the hair by the time you're 30
2. Try the finasteride medication and minoxidil before deciding on the transplant. You need to see how you will respond to the medication, whether you might get side effects or not. The main reason why is because you will be advised to take the medication after the transplant to keep / slow down the native hair loss
3. Accept that there is a possibility you will need more than one procedure in your life if you want to keep it all consistent. You will need to strategize and plan all this. Prepare and save for the second hair transplant just in case... You can delay it as much as you can with medical therapy
4. There's a possibility that you will become anxious about your hair throughout this journey. You will freak out when/if you shed, thin in other areas etc.
5. Consider taking the right supplements to maintain strength of the hair on a daily basis - saw Palmetto, zinc, biotin etc etc
6. Consider introducing prp/prf and llt in your hair loss prevention regime

1. I think 1 is a bit wrong. There is nothing wrong in doing HT at a young age, you will be enjoying the golden years of your life, but you got to stay commited to finasteride and maybe 10 or 15 years down the line you'll need another.

To me it doesn’t look horrible but it doesn’t look natural either. Maybe they could put more imperfections in the hairline like a zigzag pattern to break up how perfectly straight it looks for a more natural look.
I wonder what it looks like if you get a buzzcut would you notice the new hairs ?

You only need to use minoxidil on the hair that isn’t transplanted since the transplanted hair is permanent. But yes you need to use minoxidil for the rest of your life, if you stop using it your hair will start to fall out again.

Make that "10 things I wish I had known..." I wish I knew what you want to say, for example, is a hypothetical statement referring to the present. For hypothetical statements referring to the past we need to use a tense that describes the situation BEFORE the events, that consequently evolve or don't evolve as a consequence afterwards, take place. The only tense in the English language that accomplishes that is the past perfect which is why we need to use it in the title of this video.

They say scabs should be removed for the grafts to breathe
And then another thing says don’t touch the scabs let them fall off naturally.

2:45 get yourself a Waterproof Mattress Protector. they're $20. and pillow protectors. those are like $15. if you're going to be going thru the recovery process for weeks . get thse 2 products.
Don't bleed on your towels
I had mine in Madrid, Clinics give you a complementary proper pillow designed for this. They give you also sterilised clothes to put on the pillow, not just any towel, you could get an infection, no wonder you got it all that red. I am really shocked that you used the toothbrush to take that stuff out. Normally you go to the clinic after 10 days and a professional will do if for you with a special massage, and not like that with a toothbrush.

Stuff you didn't touched: did they give you a cream / shampoo? Medicine?
I just did mine & of course I received prescription for 2 main stuff: propecia & minoxidil (aparently will need it for life), new hair+some of old hair should fall in following weeks & in some months should regrow.. but old hair is still "programmed" to be weak against DHT & without medicine will risk eventually loosing it.. therefore medicine.. unfortunately many negative reviews due to side effects, on both.. Anyway, your hair seems super dense.. do you use any medical treatment?
Got 3200 FUE last month in the US and it took 10 hours excluding 1 hour lunch break. I didn't take sleep meds, but I was sleepy due to lack of sleep the night before. I just slept on my normal pillow with a surgical sheet and leaked fluid all over that for the first 2 to 3 days. My doctor told me not to wash my hair for 3 to 4 days.
My scabs took about 9 days to fully clear. Mine wasn't densely packed because I only added density on the top crown and slight bit in the front corners and I didn't really need to lower my hairline. Since the sides were all shaved, I just gave myself a marine haircut and will keep it that way for the next 4 months or more.
How are your results right now?
@@Tazzzzmenn After 14 months, it's about 80% covered. It might get slightly better at 18 months when the results are final. I'll probably need to get another 800 grafts to cover up the crown. The original surgery was around 3100 grafts.

I can relate to everything you mentioned.
One thing that you did not mention was any use of a derma roller / micro needling.
I was advised to start using one after 6 weeks…it is uncomfortable but if it helps to promote the hair growth, then it’s worth it.
I wonder why the transplanted hair follicles do not die like the ones they replaced? What is it that makes a transplant successful, long term?
Don't you need to take Minoxidil,Rogaine or Propecia? Or your the rest of your hair will fall out?
the transplanted hairs are genetically in a region that does not get affected by the DHT/stress hormones. Those hair follicles are genetically made stronger for whatever strange reason a man was made
@@coochiecrook7120 whatever hair you have left outside of the transplant, in the male pattern baldness region, is still susceptible to continuing hair loss if not treated or taken care of to the best of your ability, sometimes it might mean medication or other ways.

The problem with a hair transplant is that what feels like 90% of the time you can tell they've had one. On the one hand because of the density of the hair, which shows light spots in some places and on the other hand because of the hairline. Most doctors don't care if it's natural or not and will smack you an even straighter line than my ruler can make.
Therefore, one should start finasteride as early as possible to stop hair loss and thus increase the possibility of a natural looking hair transplant. If there are people who are afraid of finasteride, I can only say that they have to use it for a few years at most, because a new drug called GT20029 is supposed to come out in the next few years and it's supposed to be much more effective against finasteride.

Most of the time the straight hairlines are by choice. I discussed this with some doctors and asked them why some transplants look more natural than others, and they said that the straight hairlines are mostly requested by their clients even though they prefer to give a more natural look.
About this new drug...does this have any side effects?
You will lose your penis.
A clinic will naturalise the hairline if you ask them to. Straight hairlines look silly.

My friend lost his hairs by the age of 27 and he was cool with it for several years. He was like: It is what it is for now but once I'm 34, 35 I will do an HT. And so he did. He was 34 when he did 6500 in one session and man hes like 10 years younger now. His hair is amazing.
The catch is Do NOT do your HT before your hair loss is stabilized. We now know tatby 30, 33 years of age most of the hair loss is stabilized in 93.7% of individuals. So you might be one of them.

@Plqw Thats what I've been told by the doctors, that the levels of DHT drop significantly once you go past 30. It's still a subject to scientific research but they do have serious data on this. Also it is of uttermost significance that your doctor that does your HT has a great technique. That being said, listen carefully to this video also because it's completely on point

Hey Brett, during the 5 month or so post-transplant period, with all the things you mentioned happening, like shedding and patches and wiry-wonky hairs, were you permitted to wear a baseball cap to go outside in public. I remember you said that people walk around shame -free with bandages on their heads in Istanbul because there are so many of them there they don't feel embarrassed. But I live in southern California where image is everything, and I'm wondering what the rules are on baseball cap wearing once I get back here from Turkey, for those first 5 months or so. Thanks.
You can wear a cap after 7 - 14 days
Just had my HT 3weeks ago. You can wear a hat after 14 days. Id say play it safe and wear a hat after 2,5 weeks. When the scabs are gone it kinda just looks like you have a buzzcut.

You can wear a cap, but I don’t recommend, my transplant was amazing and very successful. You shouldn’t care about the imagine, a hair transplant isn’t cheap. The following day of my hair transplant I was in a mall, bald and with a bandage on the back of my head 🤷🏼♂️
IMO many guys go to do that type of operation way too early in their initial stage of balding.That guy didn't have so much hair lost,BUT he could lose more in the future let's say in the back of his head.I think these operations should be done only in extreme cases, where its really really bad.

Hey Brett. In the 3.5 months period, your hair was looking good. My hair transplant surgery was 2022 december 10. And now im in the 4 month. But my transplanted area is small. And i dont know why. I sent pictures to the clinic in the first and second week and said everything okay, looks fine the transplanted area. And after that i have to sent 3 months controll pictures. They said, everything okay looks fine. But my hair is small. In the transplanted area is small.
Everyone has different growth rates, it’s all dependent on your donor area. Brett has very strong hair, essentially he’s the perfect candidate for a hair transplant hence why he’s reacted very well early on.
Be patient, I’m sure results will show from the 6 month mark onwards.

everyones hair grows differently depending on a lot of factors some being unchangable others a little more if your not already use fin, fin will supply more blood to your hair root given it's a blood thinner and in general you should be on it to avoid losing the none transplanted hair. You will need to research this portion because unsure if you can with a HT but try derma needling (If able/possible) it will aggrivate the scalp (get to pin point bleeding) and your body will naturally try to heal the puntured areas supplying more blood/stem cells to them which can help slightly speed up hair growth

Have you noticed skin aging and dark circles under eyes from the minoxidil? And are you still on Saw Palmetto? Had some side effects from SP so can't take it unfortunately.

Dark circles from minoxidil? Yo.. is that why I developed them.. although I've been taking minoxidil for quite some time now.. almost 6 months and dark circles only appeared about 3 weeks ago. Also I take the topical form
@@johnny-mnemonic13 dark circles can litterally mean a handful of things, such as sleep, stress, sleep quality, diet even, skin health, lack of time in the sun, pretty sure also vitamin difficency can cause it. Dark circles can happen for any number of reasons consider what's been different within the last 3 weeks and start there if it's an issue you feel self concious about

Man - you have seen short term - 2400 grafts so young - you might regret it in 10-15 years
if men have testes removed,they wont have anymore DHT? but they not want that,so the connection to testosterone and hair fall out is still there so they got to work around it but is all linked too prostate gland somehow but healthy prostate is also perhaps healthy hair line sometimes. Want we want is good balance of testosterone and prevent its mutation into DHT,and so you get saw palmetto and Finasteride which will balance you from high testosterone by limiting its production so it does not have a surplus to mutate into DHT,and so youll feel a bit less manly and some what depressed sometimes,You have then to exercise a lot to maintain endorphins.

For me i might get a HT next year i'm 20 and got diffuse thinning been using minox and fin for a little over 3 months right now (the reason i'd wait till next year is i wanna see how minox and fin do) and my temples are also receeding i got a naturally M shaped highline but since i've been thinning/receeding since 16 it's starting to creep up to the top of my head (ideally i'd love for min and fin to give me enough results that i just need to worry about the hairline because i don't wanna go to turkey for crown/mid scalp restoration as i worry they might not follow the actual pattern
Let me know if you notice any abnormality in your penis, perhaps softer during intercouse. i had those are the main side effects of fin...
@@blazekabera1865 I've been on it for 3 months and not had side effects of any kind most people don't experience side effects on fin not to mention a lot of that can be placebo as well. Go into it knowing it's not common to get sides so it eliminates placebo
