Love your podcast saying it has broke the taboo topic I do not agree though as the fact of the matter is that Theo and other celebs who promote hair trance plants can afford it I have been going bold since I was in my early 20's I am now 32 and have never been able to afford a a hair trance plant nor probably will and I guess I speek for a lot of men on the street so I get on with life and go bold gracefully

@Joshua Lister It's a massive insecurity and makes men, especially young men, feel as if they are unattractive and unappealing to look at. Consequently it has a huge knock on self confidence and self esteem. Appreciate you're coming from a position where you don't understand but find it difficult to comprehend that you can't empathize with how being or becoming bald is difficult to deal with.
Just committed and shaved my head the other day. Got to the point where I had to decide whether it was worth investing in sorting out or just going for it. Never looking back, best decision I’ve made. Need to normalise baldness in young males 👍🏻

Really positive to see all the comments from men looking into a transplant. There’s absolutely no shame in it. I think male beauty standards need to be reconsidered and sympathised a lot more by society, us women have so many more options and normalisation in comparison
Iv lost my hair. I just embraced it, was tough to start with for sure, but now I couldn't be more confident, probably more so than when I had hair. Always do what makes you happy though!
I'm balding and therefore shaved since a few years ago and I honestly couldn't care less. Best advice I ever got was simply 'You'll get used to it'. My advice: #1 Just own it, your hair doesn't define you. #2. Make jokes about it, it's not a big deal and helps with your self confidence + it takes away the 'pleasure' from others so a result the banter soon dries up. #3 If someone consistently makes the same or similar jokes, it says a lot more about them (and their basic levels of wit) than it does about you.
Looks great 👏🏼 would 100% recommend it to anyone that feels they want it. I actually went to Turkey for mine. Its the year mark today coincidentally. I have done a video on it at the 6 month mark and will do one in the next couple weeks for my final 12 month results. So glad I did it! Well done Theo for openly talking about it 👏🏼
how’d you find turkey mate? like, surely you had to do follow up consultations and maybe had questions you wanted the surgeon to answer so i’m just curious if there is still a good level of communication there after the transplant is done?
@@aidanLVbeats I was sceptical at first, especially with travelling during covid etc but it was great. They follow up regularly on Whatsapp even to this day. I was sceptical about this at first but they really haven't disappointed!

Hair follicles don't regrow once being used for a transplant, some with aggressive hair loss may eventually run out of suitable donor follicles from the back of the head
I started to recede at about 16/17 and now at 25 I shaved my head bald so people always ask me would I ever get a transplant. I'll always say no as I much prefer having a clean shaven head, best choice I made
Never been the biggest fan of Theo but I respect him for being open about everything nobody can take that away from him at the end of the day I couldnt go in front of a camera and admit my own insecurities well done lad

People don't realise how devastating hair loss can be for men in their early teens and 20s. You can literally see yourself become 10 - 15 year older in a matter of months, and if you do not have good physique and a nice strong jaw, you are further screwed, you start looking like a cancer patient (of course what they go through is much worse). You hate seeing yourself in the mirror, you avoid going for a swim, avoid going out in a windy or rainy day, you even avoid doing any physical activity that will make you sweat publicly. When people talk to you, they literally see you in your hairline, instead of eyes while talking. You don't care about dressing up anymore as what does it matter, you can wear a $20,000 fancy suite but your head still looks like someone glued 4 hair on your head. You do not bother talking or flirting with girls as they just can never be attracted to you (its a fact no matter how many fake BS people say its the personality that matters) and honestly no one can blame them. Men wouldn't be attracted to a balding women too. When you are young, your attraction to the opposite gender is driven by physical appearance and where that relationship goes, that then depends on the other factors. In a nutshell, you lose your will to live and that is basically all that is going inside of your head, while you pretend to show the world it doesn't bother you.
Had a transplant myself, in my case the thought of it was much worse than the experience. I Had a really good experience and would do it again in a heartbeat if needed, well worth it
@@Calibantastic88 The native hair will still be subject to the process of balding (unless you use medical intervention such as finasteride), so in most cases a HT is not a "one and done" thing.

Like u Harry I can’t see myself getting a HT. for my hair the results just wouldn’t be worth the stress and hassle. I’d need at least 3.And even if it worked it would be very thin and would require taking medication. Way too much of a sacrifice for little gain
I’m balding and almost at the point of needing to shave my head. I’m ok with it, from all things I could lose (sight, hearing, a limb) losing my hair really isn’t an issue for me.
My one problem with this is that Theo is an ambassador for ‘International Hair Studio’ when they don’t actually do the surgical procedures themselves. They predominantly do wigs and outsource actual transplant procedures to other clinics. Look at Theo’s video, he blurs the sign of the actual clinic because he’s being paid by IHS. I’m all for Theo talking about the procedure and male stigma but a hair transplant is something that takes meticulous research, it’s not something you want to have botched and therefore the clinic that does it need to know what they’re doing. I don’t know what process IHS employ but they need to be transparent about the clinics they actually use and I wish Theo would talk about this. But he’s been paid to be be an ambassador for them so I’m assuming he got the procedure for free. Sorry I just think this is such a contentious topic amongst blokes and it’s important to get it right.
Whilst I fully acknowledge your point, this is like a chef inventing pizza (assume pizza doesn’t exist) and you go to his restaurant and go yeah sound but there’s no pepperoni on it mate. My point is he’s one of the first people to tackle this topic, he’s gone into exactly the details he’s comfortable talking about and your reaction is that it’s not enough despite another option not really existing. He’s essentially creating a new discussion and you’re moaning that it’s not deep enough there’s nobody to compare him to so we can’t shoot him down
I used IHS for a different type of treatment which they recommended, and let me tell you I have found them to be awful and borderline cowboys. Since doing research there are a lot more reputable companies out there. I will probably forget about Theo in the years to come but I almost guarantee his hair will require a lot more treatment going forward. Good that he's chatting about it in some way either way.
@@runescapian1999 I appreciate the reply mate but I do say in my comment I think he deserves credit for talking about it in such detail. As I said in my comment it’s a big taboo subject amongst men and the more open people are about having a procedure, only more good can come from that in terms of normalising it. The issue for me as I point out is when you are getting paid by a company, it does obstruct ‘how much’ you can really say, because his interests lie with this clinic. As for the whole pizza analogy (good analogy by the way), let me perhaps clarify. With all brand deals I think it’s a creators responsibility to do their due diligence on who/what they’re promoting, many creators talk about this openly and how much it means to them. I just feel Theo should have done more research into IHS and their practices. A lot of men will blindly follow his journey without knowing the details behind the clinic, which I think is so important for a hair transplant. If like you say it comes down to comfortability then I take your point. But me personally, I would feel more comfortable knowing I haven’t sent my followers to get a hair transplant from a cowboy clinic they don’t know.
@@benr91377 That’s interesting to hear. I’m not having a pop at Theo for talking about the procedure, all power to him for that. Hair transplants are not an immediate fix, future proofing is so key for further recession and finding a clinic that employs the right methods to make this as easy as possibly is key. Research is so necessary and the whole IHS ambassador thing just doesn’t sit right with me. He didn’t have it done by them and to claim he has is disingenuous to his followers that are considering having it done.
Very well said. Theo clearly doesn't know much about HT's (if he did, he wouldn't have used the clinic he did, to put it bluntly), and therefore has a tremendous amount of responsibility if he's going to promote that clinic in any way. I hope any guys thinking of getting a HT avoid the clinic he used, ignore any of his advice and do some proper research on the subject.
I had a hair transplant about 8 months ago and I can honestly say it changed my life. My confidence is so much better and I feel like me more. If you are thinking about doing it do it! Not having to cover up balding spots and just feeling happier is extremely worth it. And if you don't feel like doing a hair transplant yet trying getting finasteride. It can help recover some hair loss and keep what you have alive and well. Glad this is not as taboo to talk about as before!
Without adressing the reason of hairloss (which is DHT in scalp) transplanted hair gonna fall out too. IIt's either finateride or ru58841 guys, just transplantation won't help you for long
Some advice for men losing their hair. First off its possible to stop it and even regrow your hair but you need to catch it pretty quickly. Firstly the quickest thing you can do is get regaine hair serum. However you have to be serious about using it. You need to put it in twice a day twelve hours between each application. If you start getting slack things will go bad. People will say "I have to do it every day, twice a day, thats long" to which I would say "I imagine you do your teeth dont you"? If so do it at the same time. The second thing is there is a reason you are losing your hair and all the stuff about it being in the family etc while it might be true there are other more regular reasons you are losing your hair. Hair needs blood to grow and as we age and peoples diets continue to get worse we clog up your arteries. Not can this lead to strokes and heart attacks but also hair loss. No point in using regaine, getting hair transplants etc if you are going to continue doing the things which got you there in the first place. Hair needs blood to grow so it wont make a difference if you get a new head of hair, it will disapear soon enough if the new hair isnt getting the blood it needs to grow. I began losing hair slightly on my peaks, my hairline was going back at the sides, I began with regaine and a new diet at the same time, my hairline grew back to pretty much where it was to begin with and not I dont use regaine at all. It took work but not really much, definately worth having my hair compared to what I had to do to get it back. If you think what I have suggested is too much effort then I suggest you give yourself a complete bald head and see how you like it. Because having a number one shaved head and having no hair at all is a world of difference. Good luck guys, I know this is a major thing and I imagine some men are really depressed. This advice is good for those who are losing it or who have lost it and thinking of getting a transplant as at least you wont lose your money. Id advise using regaine even after a hair transplant just to make sure it sticks. Edit: I hadnt watch the whole video before writing this comment so I didnt know what treatment he had. For those that know or dont know there is a big american podcast called No Jumper and its host is called Adam22. He has had two hair transplants and the first one, which he said was the cheaper one was the same as the one Theo mentions where they take hair from the back of your head. He said it hurts a lot and it didnt work! He a few years later got a much more expensive one which looks great and it has worked. He is also now eating a vegan diet so that obviously helps too. When it comes to getting any kind of surgery done on your body and there are different options, always get the most expensive. I understand people like to save money and sometimes the more expensive option isnt always the best but when it comes to having surgery no price is too expensive. Obviously do research, you might be able to get just as good a service for a few grand less but if there is an option which costs 5k and one that costs 20k there is a reason for it.
The thing is is I'm losing my hair but I think the hair transplants look poor after a while Wayne Rooney and George Groves have much larger budgets than me but they can't seem to pull it off and with that that you pit on your head twice a day I wonder which chemicals are in there and how they affect your body over all are there any long-term health Association risks recently we just found out that some deodorants are causing a lot of breast cancer in women
@@RickTheBoss98 yes this is something I have been thinking about, however this is the only thing I have a worry about as I use natural hygiene products and have a good diet. Mostly it's the diet which is causing hair loss. My hair is now very long and grown back in any areas it was slightly fading.
I'm going bald, I'm 31 and I hated it at first and it really got me down every day until I thought fuck it and actually shaved my shoulder length hair off. I feel like a new person.
So the way the transplant works is, if anyone's curious, they take this special little tool, no idea of the name of it, and they basically make teeny tiny circular incisions around your follicles, take them out, put them into some IV Fluid or whatever the fuck, and then, depending on the method used, they'll either punch holes in the balding area with a very small knife and put the hair follicles in with tweezers, or, another method is using what are called Choi pens, where the doctors put the individual hair follicle into the pen, and just click the follicle into place. I dunno where Theo got his implants and how thick his hair is, but over here they take at most five thousand follicles from the donor area and plop them onto your bald spots, depends on how much you're balding, other, more... regulated... places are only allowed to take about a thousand or more. Also, yes, this process makes you bleed a lot, that's why where I worked they gave you lunch with your transplant. The drilling sensation would have been the machine they used to remove the follicles in the first place iirc. Top tip: If you do go to Turkey for a hair transplant, don't buy into all the shit they try to upsell, most of the time they'll really push you on shit like mesotherapy and Ozone treatment (Which really put me off, they put ozone in your blood and pump it back in).
I don't really understand how the cost of these procedures is still so high. If a practice was to work every other day and do 170 procedures a year at the uk minimum £5,000 thats £850,000 a year. I understand the facility costs, training and qualification costs and often needing assistants, receptions, booking system, equipment etc. It still seems crazily expensive for a procedure there should be such a high demand for. You'd think competition would lead to price reduction also. Although I don't begrudge him for getting it free its sad to hear him recommend one for people whose confidence is messed with. I would have one in a heartbeat, if it wasn't as pricey. Mines been receding since I was 19.
I think he'd look better with a shaved head tbh. Looks quite thin there now. Shaved head isn't such a bad look when you aren't a teenager anymore. It's masculine. Although take what I'm saying with a pinch of salt given I have a vtuber avatar. EDIT: For example, the co-host looks totally fine with the shaved head and makes him come across confident and not riddled with insecurities. People need to try and stigmatise bald/balding men less often because it doesn't even look bad when you shave it all off.
Tip to Stevie - if you feel you look way older now (you don’t), bald people age slower. Have family members who look the exact same bald at 25 as they do 35.
@@shanebradford07 I started losing it at the temples when I was around 20 and nearly ten years later my hairline is similar to Jack's, maybe slightly better. I thought I'd be bald by about 23 when I first noticed it, but I seem to be fortunate that my hair loss is slow.
It's quite normal to recede around the temples and it's not necessarily a sign of balding. The majority of men lose their "juvenile" hair line for a "mature" hairline in their 20's. It doesn't mean you'll go bald.
@@mintybadgerproductions I know, but mature hairlines tend to form more of a 'V' shape, whereas mine is more of an 'M' like Jack's is. Doesn't really bother me, though - when it's time I'll gradually go shorter and shorter.

@@benr91377 cheers mate tbh I think in the same way that padded bras add pressure to other women the trend to get hair implants adds pressure to other men. It’s a shame that anyone would be that bothered by losing there hair. Most men will lose there hair at some point… As a teenager I realised that in terms of impressing women personality is 90% of what matters. Plus I’ve been surprised how many women actually are attracted to me because of shaving my head. Like I said, the best thing to be is happy in your own skin, it’s more attractive then any treatment you can buy.

I was like ''he doesn't even need one?'' then I seen from searches he actually got a hair transplant 2 months after this, wow. Theo's doesn't look that great, but Stevie's has come out incredible.

Theo doesn't seem to know very much about HT's for someone that has had one (presumably because he got it done for free so never really had to bother with the research). The UK has mostly very poor HT clinics. Those cheap ones mentioned in Turkey are almost always abysmal as well (there are good ones, but they're more expensive than £2K). If anyone is inspired to have a HT as a result of this video, PLEASE do some proper research.

There is a drug you can buy that slows hair loss as well called finasteride. As long as your not one of the few people who get side effects from it apparently it’s pretty good
@@articulatemonkey6667 potential risks of finasteride/ dutasteride aren’t worth the rewards imo. minoxidil, micro needling, essential vitamins and specific shampoos are what i use and progress isn’t great but there’s no real side effects so it’s a bit of a compromise
He should really mention that once you have had a transplant you must always take medication, ie FINASTARIDE to maintain your new hair and prevent future lose.
I had the same thing done, vlogged it and its up on my channel, honestly no maintainence, have done the opposite of look after it and have more than a full head of hair now, never looked back since
I’m a none identical twin, I have a reseeding hair line but my brother doesn’t. I’m lucky that it doesn’t worry me or my wife but if I had the money a hair transplant would be considered
Not to be mean it doesn't look great just get the clippers out and take it all off. It always looks whispy after a while and you end up looking worse and left with the scars when you lose it again. Just look at the guys who have the scars after they lost it the second time (google scars from hair transplants). At 27 got the clippers out buzzed it all off and never looked back, more women like me now than when I was trying to hold on to it. 20 years later I have a gorgeous wife and doing well for myself, hair loss doesn't matter once you face it head on. Although it can be hard to lose your hair, just like any fear face it head on. Save your money and use it in a gym membership or education or course to improve yourself. Keep growing as a person, hair does not define who we are and there are many bald men that are succesful.

@@aidanLVbeats - runs in my family my cousin started balding at 19, he used to get buzz cuts all the time when he was a kid so he bit the bullet too and opted to keep it that way when it happened. Can't imagine it's great bro just saying a hair transplant isn't always a good solutuon, looks ok for the first few years but it quickly becomes fuzzy and you bald again plus the scars and so you just putting off the envitable plus now you have scars. As for going bald at a young age, there are plenty of women who grew up with bald fathers so you would be amazed how many women actually dig a bald guy. That was my biggest fear to, but I actually got more P sleeve than I ever did when I had hair when I decided to buzz off what was left. Went bald over the course of 6 months when I was 34. Have tried to embrace it. . .well, embrace is too strong a word, but I've tried to live with it best I can. I wear a lot of beanies in winter and sun hats during summer. Have flirted with the idea of getting a wig, but the men's wigs are most awful. Would never ever contemplate a hair transplant, even if I could afford it. The results are usually pretty awful. Male baldness certainly isn't genetic in my case. I'm the first and only male in my family going back generations to go bald.

There's a hell of a lot of misinformation in this video. The hair from the back, aka the donor hair, does NOT grow back. They remove hair, often in a strip across the back, and then stitch up the gap where the hair is removed from. You will be left with a scar across the back of your head. Jamie Foxx covered his with a tattoo. You can experience shock loss in areas where hair is transplanted, which means your existing hair can fall out. Also, you need to be on medication for the rest of your life to TRY to stop the hair from continuing to fall out. It's not guaranteed to work. That medication can have awful side effects, including loss of libido and even permanent impotence. Hair transplants in this country will often cost a lot more than was quoted in this video, especially as you will likely need to return multiple time to have more hair transplanted in. It's highly likely that you will never get the sort of density that you used to have and you'll be left with thin, patchy hair, as Theo has. He is likely going to lose more hair and will run out of donor hair very quickly.
@@-The-Golden-God- Well 1st of all you're talking about FUT and dont even mention FUE which leaves no strip scar, even still a good Doc and the scar will be minimal. You dont need medication like Fin etc because the hairs that are taken from the donor site are DHT resistant, you can also get density from other body hairs not just the scalp. Shock loss occurs when too many grafts are implanted at once to close together etc, sounds like you've seen bad jobs from poor Docs, maybe educate yourself more, thanks ✌
Its side effects are rare, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. If a pill every day somehow manages to give you some problems, you can lower the dosage to taking it a few times a week.
Not many people know this but Machine Gun Kelly had a hair transplant before he became more mainstream. He was balding mad at the front. KSI should consider it too. They can do it for beard as well
Hair loss prevention is so easy and can be done with minimal drug intervention if people catch it quick. Information should be more widespread so people can catch it quickly

Turkey also have several very excellent ones, but 99% are cheap hair mills where the technicians rather than Dr's do all the work, do several patients in a day (bad!), don't use microscopes (only inferior magnification), can't dissect multi-grafts hairs in to singles for hairlines, don't design micro-irregularities into hairlines to make them look soft and natural, poor graft directions a the temples etc... There's such much to know and understand and Theo himself doesn't appear to know any of this.

I started losing my hair in my mid 20s, in 2018 I decided to shave it all off and have continued to shave it. Embrace it, best decision I ever made, rather be bald than be self conscious that people are staring at my bald spot.

I'm balding and therefore shaved since a few years ago and I honestly couldn't care less. Best advice I ever got was simply 'You'll get used to it'. My advice: #1 Just own it, your hair doesn't define you. #2. Make jokes about it, it's not a big deal and helps with your self confidence + it takes away the 'pleasure' from others so a result the banter soon dries up. #3 If someone consistently makes the same or similar jokes, it says a lot more about them (and their basic levels of wit) than it does about you.

People don't realise how devastating hair loss can be for men in their early teens and 20s. You can literally see yourself become 10 - 15 year older in a matter of months, and if you do not have good physique and a nice strong jaw, you are further screwed, you start looking like a cancer patient (of course what they go through is much worse). You hate seeing yourself in the mirror, you avoid going for a swim, avoid going out in a windy or rainy day, you even avoid doing any physical activity that will make you sweat publicly. When people talk to you, they literally see you in your hairline, instead of eyes while talking. You don't care about dressing up anymore as what does it matter, you can wear a $20,000 fancy suite but your head still looks like someone glued 4 hair on your head. You do not bother talking or flirting with girls as they just can never be attracted to you (its a fact no matter how many fake BS people say its the personality that matters) and honestly no one can blame them. Men wouldn't be attracted to a balding women too. When you are young, your attraction to the opposite gender is driven by physical appearance and where that relationship goes, that then depends on the other factors. In a nutshell, you lose your will to live and that is basically all that is going inside of your head, while you pretend to show the world it doesn't bother you.

My one problem with this is that Theo is an ambassador for ‘International Hair Studio’ when they don’t actually do the surgical procedures themselves. They predominantly do wigs and outsource actual transplant procedures to other clinics. Look at Theo’s video, he blurs the sign of the actual clinic because he’s being paid by IHS. I’m all for Theo talking about the procedure and male stigma but a hair transplant is something that takes meticulous research, it’s not something you want to have botched and therefore the clinic that does it need to know what they’re doing. I don’t know what process IHS employ but they need to be transparent about the clinics they actually use and I wish Theo would talk about this. But he’s been paid to be be an ambassador for them so I’m assuming he got the procedure for free. Sorry I just think this is such a contentious topic amongst blokes and it’s important to get it right.
Whilst I fully acknowledge your point, this is like a chef inventing pizza (assume pizza doesn’t exist) and you go to his restaurant and go yeah sound but there’s no pepperoni on it mate. My point is he’s one of the first people to tackle this topic, he’s gone into exactly the details he’s comfortable talking about and your reaction is that it’s not enough despite another option not really existing. He’s essentially creating a new discussion and you’re moaning that it’s not deep enough there’s nobody to compare him to so we can’t shoot him down
I used IHS for a different type of treatment which they recommended, and let me tell you I have found them to be awful and borderline cowboys. Since doing research there are a lot more reputable companies out there. I will probably forget about Theo in the years to come but I almost guarantee his hair will require a lot more treatment going forward. Good that he's chatting about it in some way either way.

As I said in my comment it’s a big taboo subject amongst men and the more open people are about having a procedure, only more good can come from that in terms of normalising it. The issue for me as I point out is when you are getting paid by a company, it does obstruct ‘how much’ you can really say, because his interests lie with this clinic. As for the whole pizza analogy (good analogy by the way), let me perhaps clarify. With all brand deals I think it’s a creators responsibility to do their due diligence on who/what they’re promoting, many creators talk about this openly and how much it means to them. I just feel Theo should have done more research into IHS and their practices. A lot of men will blindly follow his journey without knowing the details behind the clinic, which I think is so important for a hair transplant. If like you say it comes down to comfortability then I take your point. But me personally, I would feel more comfortable knowing I haven’t sent my followers to get a hair transplant from a cowboy clinic they don’t know.

Hair transplants are not an immediate fix, future proofing is so key for further recession and finding a clinic that employs the right methods to make this as easy as possibly is key. He didn’t have it done by them and to claim he has is disingenuous to his followers that are considering having it done.
Very well said. Theo clearly doesn't know much about HT's (if he did, he wouldn't have used the clinic he did, to put it bluntly), and therefore has a tremendous amount of responsibility if he's going to promote that clinic in any way. I hope any guys thinking of getting a HT avoid the clinic he used, ignore any of his advice and do some proper research on the subject.

I had a hair transplant about 8 months ago and I can honestly say it changed my life. My confidence is so much better and I feel like me more. If you are thinking about doing it do it! Not having to cover up balding spots and just feeling happier is extremely worth it. And if you don't feel like doing a hair transplant yet trying getting finasteride. It can help recover some hair loss and keep what you have alive and well. Glad this is not as taboo to talk about as before!

Some advice for men losing their hair. First off its possible to stop it and even regrow your hair but you need to catch it pretty quickly. Firstly the quickest thing you can do is get regaine hair serum. However you have to be serious about using it. You need to put it in twice a day twelve hours between each application. If you start getting slack things will go bad. People will say "I have to do it every day, twice a day, thats long" to which I would say "I imagine you do your teeth dont you"? If so do it at the same time. The second thing is there is a reason you are losing your hair and all the stuff about it being in the family etc while it might be true there are other more regular reasons you are losing your hair. Hair needs blood to grow and as we age and peoples diets continue to get worse we clog up your arteries. Not can this lead to strokes and heart attacks but also hair loss. No point in using regaine, getting hair transplants etc if you are going to continue doing the things which got you there in the first place. Hair needs blood to grow so it wont make a difference if you get a new head of hair, it will disapear soon enough if the new hair isnt getting the blood it needs to grow. I began losing hair slightly on my peaks, my hairline was going back at the sides, I began with regaine and a new diet at the same time, my hairline grew back to pretty much where it was to begin with and not I dont use regaine at all. It took work but not really much, definately worth having my hair compared to what I had to do to get it back. If you think what I have suggested is too much effort then I suggest you give yourself a complete bald head and see how you like it. Because having a number one shaved head and having no hair at all is a world of difference. Good luck guys, I know this is a major thing and I imagine some men are really depressed. This advice is good for those who are losing it or who have lost it and thinking of getting a transplant as at least you wont lose your money. Id advise using regaine even after a hair transplant just to make sure it sticks.
Edit: I hadnt watch the whole video before writing this comment so I didnt know what treatment he had. For those that know or dont know there is a big american podcast called No Jumper and its host is called Adam22. He has had two hair transplants and the first one, which he said was the cheaper one was the same as the one Theo mentions where they take hair from the back of your head. He said it hurts a lot and it didnt work! He a few years later got a much more expensive one which looks great and it has worked. He is also now eating a vegan diet so that obviously helps too. When it comes to getting any kind of surgery done on your body and there are different options, always get the most expensive. I understand people like to save money and sometimes the more expensive option isnt always the best but when it comes to having surgery no price is too expensive. Obviously do research, you might be able to get just as good a service for a few grand less but if there is an option which costs 5k and one that costs 20k there is a reason for it.
The thing is is I'm losing my hair but I think the hair transplants look poor after a while Wayne Rooney and George Groves have much larger budgets than me but they can't seem to pull it off and with that that you pit on your head twice a day I wonder which chemicals are in there and how they affect your body over all are there any long-term health Association risks recently we just found out that some deodorants are causing a lot of breast cancer in women
@@RickTheBoss98 yes this is something I have been thinking about, however this is the only thing I have a worry about as I use natural hygiene products and have a good diet. Mostly it's the diet which is causing hair loss. My hair is now very long and grown back in any areas it was slightly fading.

I'm going bald, I'm 31 and I hated it at first and it really got me down every day until I thought fuck it and actually shaved my shoulder length hair off. I feel like a new person.

So the way the transplant works is, if anyone's curious, they take this special little tool, no idea of the name of it, and they basically make teeny tiny circular incisions around your follicles, take them out, put them into some IV Fluid or whatever the fuck, and then, depending on the method used, they'll either punch holes in the balding area with a very small knife and put the hair follicles in with tweezers, or, another method is using what are called Choi pens, where the doctors put the individual hair follicle into the pen, and just click the follicle into place. I dunno where Theo got his implants and how thick his hair is, but over here they take at most five thousand follicles from the donor area and plop them onto your bald spots, depends on how much you're balding, other, more... regulated... places are only allowed to take about a thousand or more. Also, yes, this process makes you bleed a lot, that's why where I worked they gave you lunch with your transplant. The drilling sensation would have been the machine they used to remove the follicles in the first place iirc.
Top tip: If you do go to Turkey for a hair transplant, don't buy into all the shit they try to upsell, most of the time they'll really push you on shit like mesotherapy and Ozone treatment (Which really put me off, they put ozone in your blood and pump it back in).

I don't really understand how the cost of these procedures is still so high. If a practice was to work every other day and do 170 procedures a year at the uk minimum £5,000 thats £850,000 a year. I understand the facility costs, training and qualification costs and often needing assistants, receptions, booking system, equipment etc. It still seems crazily expensive for a procedure there should be such a high demand for. You'd think competition would lead to price reduction also. Although I don't begrudge him for getting it free its sad to hear him recommend one for people whose confidence is messed with. I would have one in a heartbeat, if it wasn't as pricey. Mines been receding since I was 19.
I think he'd look better with a shaved head tbh. Looks quite thin there now. Shaved head isn't such a bad look when you aren't a teenager anymore. It's masculine. Although take what I'm saying with a pinch of salt given I have a vtuber avatar.
EDIT: For example, the co-host looks totally fine with the shaved head and makes him come across confident and not riddled with insecurities. People need to try and stigmatise bald/balding men less often because it doesn't even look bad when you shave it all off.

It's quite normal to recede around the temples and it's not necessarily a sign of balding. The majority of men lose their "juvenile" hair line for a "mature" hairline in their 20's. It doesn't mean you'll go bald.

As a teenager I realised that in terms of impressing women personality is 90% of what matters. Plus I’ve been surprised how many women actually are attracted to me because of shaving my head.

Theo doesn't seem to know very much about HT's for someone that has had one (presumably because he got it done for free so never really had to bother with the research). The UK has mostly very poor HT clinics. Those cheap ones mentioned in Turkey are almost always abysmal as well (there are good ones, but they're more expensive than £2K). If anyone is inspired to have a HT as a result of this video, PLEASE do some proper research.

He should really mention that once you have had a transplant you must always take medication, ie FINASTARIDE to maintain your new hair and prevent future lose.
I had the same thing done, vlogged it and its up on my channel, honestly no maintainence, have done the opposite of look after it and have more than a full head of hair now, never looked back since

Not to be mean it doesn't look great just get the clippers out and take it all off. It always looks whispy after a while and you end up looking worse and left with the scars when you lose it again. Just look at the guys who have the scars after they lost it the second time (google scars from hair transplants).
At 27 got the clippers out buzzed it all off and never looked back, more women like me now than when I was trying to hold on to it.
20 years later I have a gorgeous wife and doing well for myself, hair loss doesn't matter once you face it head on.
Although it can be hard to lose your hair, just like any fear face it head on. Save your money and use it in a gym membership or education or course to improve yourself. Keep growing as a person, hair does not define who we are and there are many bald men that are succesful.

@@aidanLVbeats - runs in my family my cousin started balding at 19, he used to get buzz cuts all the time when he was a kid so he bit the bullet too and opted to keep it that way when it happened.
Can't imagine it's great bro just saying a hair transplant isn't always a good solutuon, looks ok for the first few years but it quickly becomes fuzzy and you bald again plus the scars and so you just putting off the envitable plus now you have scars.
As for going bald at a young age, there are plenty of women who grew up with bald fathers so you would be amazed how many women actually dig a bald guy. That was my biggest fear to, but I actually got more P sleeve than I ever did when I had hair when I decided to buzz off what was left.
Also your young and self concious but think about how much you actually thihk about other people in any situation. Not much right? so that's how much people really think about you to. When you realise this and just face it head on things will get better believe me. Fears just disable us, especially when we don't face them.
@@Legend-zo9bc i hear what you’re saying about fears and confronting them, but i feel as though balding is more complex than that. it is partly disabling. i’d love to believe you when you say that i’d be surprised how many girls like a bald guy. but at my age? i doubt it. maybe 1%. which isn’t exactly putting the odds in my favour! i’ve already felt like i’ve lost my youth and i’m only 18. factor in covid and lockdowns we had, i’ve basically gone from 16 to practically bald man overnight. it’s not nice. i’m pretty much just rambling now but oh well. thanks for the kind words but i’m still struggling to think positively about it all
@@aidanLVbeats - All I would say bud is that a lot of time can be wasted in life worrying about things that are beyond our control. I learned this late in life and one day you will look back and trust me you will, and say to yourself I wasted time on this when I could have done so much more. That none of this really matterted.
I get it and I aint't gonna lie and say it happened over night, I remember looking in the mirror and noticing going bald and then mourning the loss of my hair, but it will pass man.

Went bald over the course of 6 months when I was 34. Have tried to embrace it. . .well, embrace is too strong a word, but I've tried to live with it best I can. I wear a lot of beanies in winter and sun hats during summer. Have flirted with the idea of getting a wig, but the men's wigs are most awful. Would never ever contemplate a hair transplant, even if I could afford it. The results are usually pretty awful. Male baldness certainly isn't genetic in my case. I'm the first and only male in my family going back generations to go bald.

I’m 20, dark blonde thin hair, been receding at the temples sort of quickly in the last year. Shit eats away at me so much, stresses me out a lot. I have it covered up with my fringe right now, it looks normal, but I’m mad worried that this time next year I’ll just have to shave it, because once it’s noticeable that my hair has thinned I’m gonna shave it, ain’t no way I’m keeping it once it starts to be noticeable. Hair transplant isn’t an option as I’m only 20 like I can’t really be forking out a couple grand on it, so yeah it’s stressful times indeed

I went bald at 28, I shaved it off. 3 1/2 years later I still hate it. I wear hats all the time still as I hate not having hair. I really want a hair transplant. Hard to get to turkey with covid. And UK surgeries are very expensive

There's a hell of a lot of misinformation in this video. The hair from the back, aka the donor hair, does NOT grow back. They remove hair, often in a strip across the back, and then stitch up the gap where the hair is removed from. You will be left with a scar across the back of your head. Jamie Foxx covered his with a tattoo. You can experience shock loss in areas where hair is transplanted, which means your existing hair can fall out. Also, you need to be on medication for the rest of your life to TRY to stop the hair from continuing to fall out. It's not guaranteed to work. That medication can have awful side effects, including loss of libido and even permanent impotence.
Hair transplants in this country will often cost a lot more than was quoted in this video, especially as you will likely need to return multiple time to have more hair transplanted in. It's highly likely that you will never get the sort of density that you used to have and you'll be left with thin, patchy hair, as Theo has. He is likely going to lose more hair and will run out of donor hair very quickly.

You dont need medication like Fin etc because the hairs that are taken from the donor site are DHT resistant, you can also get density from other body hairs not just the scalp.
Shock loss occurs when too many grafts are implanted at once to close together etc, sounds like you've seen bad jobs from poor Docs, maybe educate yourself more, thanks ✌

The biggest problem with a hair transplant is the tablet propecia you are to take after it. Its not just as simple as have a transplant and thats it.
Just take one pill... What a big deal
Its side effects are rare, there is absolutely nothing to worry about. If a pill every day somehow manages to give you some problems, you can lower the dosage to taking it a few times a week.

Not many people know this but Machine Gun Kelly had a hair transplant before he became more mainstream. He was balding mad at the front. KSI should consider it too. They can do it for beard as well

Turkey also have several very excellent ones, but 99% are cheap hair mills where the technicians rather than Dr's do all the work, do several patients in a day (bad!), don't use microscopes (only inferior magnification), can't dissect multi-grafts hairs in to singles for hairlines, don't design micro-irregularities into hairlines to make them look soft and natural, poor graft directions a the temples etc... There's such much to know and understand and Theo himself doesn't appear to know any of this.
