Limited with Wind Chill Pearl and Sand Beige Interior is my retirement Vehicle👍😎!! All I have to do is figure out how to retire - and - make the purchase🧠🤷♂
Ok here is something. I wanted a TRD Sport but in 2022 they were hard to get like most vehicles. I ended up with a Limited. I did not want all those extras. However now that I drive a Limited, I would not want a TRD Sport. I love the ventilated seats, the blind spot monitoring, the real leather, and the updated console.
If it came with XREAS suspension sell it before the warranty expires or replace the system with standard shock absorbers. It can be a problem prone system and very expensive to repair.
The #1 advantage of the Limited is the full time 4WD, not the luxuries. It is the only trim that offers it. That is a big plus for family daily driving and safety. That drivetrain is also the main driver of the higher price.
Oh 2023 TRD cost was maybe $3000 more than I paid for Limited in 2003! So that was another win for me. My tires are different rugged all black tires ❤ and the color is midnight black, but it sparkles with dazzling blue specks when the sun hits❤❤❤❤
Thanks Jeff for letting us know that the Limited had an inside competitor with the TRD Sport--I had no idea. I was set on the Limited, but only because I prefer its front end grill look over the SR5 look. I really didn't care about the full-time 4x4 or the X-REAS on the Limited. I can do without a sun roof and all that annoying chrome as well for and extra 5 to 6k. TRD Sport has the look I want plus only the things I actually care about--The bullet proof engine and a heated steering wheel! I'm going to take a closer look and make my final decision this year. Thanks mucho!
I owned a 2003 limited, which I loved, but the sticker price was way too much! The TRD feels lighter and a tad smaller compared to limited. Which is perfect for me. Unfortunately, Toyota won't give us the automatic trunk closure, but the TRD got a space to put your hand to close it. The door isn't as heavy to close as the Limited! All in all, I'm happy!
Ok I just purchased a Beautiful TRD sport and let go of my 2003 Limited! Some differences I see are so minor! I got a sunroof which I wanted! TRD is just as solid as Limited!
I just picked up my 2024 TRD Sport (in Midnight Black) and it too has the moon roof ! also it has the power passenger seat control - the climate control console of the "Limited" -- heated seats and heated stearing wheel !
@@hunter65mm I love midnight black I can see a bluish color when the sun hits at the right angle ! I love the heated steering wheel too! I'm still learning more about the 4runner TRD! Overall it's packed with safe driving features
Jeff, In the contest between 4Runner Limited and TRD Sport, I choose the TRD Limited. 🤔Please let me explain. In my opinion Toyota shared the wrong Limited components with the TRD Sport. What they should have done is shared the permanent 4WD system and left the fancy 20" wheels and X-REAS suspension with the Limited. The permanent 4WD is a Lexus GX and Toyota Land Cruiser feature that adds so much grip at all times. If you want the frills, just buy the Limited. 😉
You hit the nail on the head. I just bought the TRD sport, I rushed into it because it was everything I wanted including the sun roof but I made the mistake by assuming it had full time 4 Wheel Drive. I can do without The other stuff.
@@yvetteramirez8588 Thanks for saying it. In a 4X4 this size, the permanent 4WD system does not have much impact on fuel efficiency so it seems like the best way to go. BTW I usually hit my thumb and two or three other fingers before hitting any nail!😁
I would pick the 4Runner limited. I like the all time 4wheel drive. I had a 4th gen v8 4Runner with full time 4wheel drive and did very well in heavy snow storms. I'm Thinking about selling or trading in my 19 trd pro Tacoma for a 4Runner limited.
I kept saying that the new generation limited looks more tacky with all that plastic and here i was right😂 a smaller engine that sounds like a prius and then a more expensive price tag. Makes this limited look slightly more lexus like😂
Jeff maybe you can help me understand something that I was told by a dealer. The difference between the limited and all the other versions is it's a unibody versus a body on frame. Can anyone else verify this. It's a big decision maker.
@@georgetown8986 TRUE !....the Canadian version (TRD Sport) comes with sun roof - power passenger seat control - the climate control console of the Limited - heated seats and heated steering wheel - mine also has a cargo cover that is retractable and a hitch with 2" ball !
Who gets the win: TRD Sport or Limited? Jeff
Both and neither is my straightforward answer.
Limited with Wind Chill Pearl and Sand Beige Interior is my retirement Vehicle👍😎!! All I have to do is figure out how to retire - and - make the purchase🧠🤷♂
I purchased my 2018 Limited in 2019. Electric running boards, third row seating, and all the extras. It now has 30,000 miles. I love it!

Don forget the sound system….. is night and day

You didn't mention if trd sport has the vertical window, which my sr5 has.
I need the turn signal indicator that my husband's tacoma 2023 has.
@@mercywilliams3675 all 4runners have the rear roll down window
I got the Limited trim n love it. The ride is so smooth.
Can't go wrong with either. Both made at great facility in Japan.
My wife loves the Limited (ours have 3rd row and auto running board option). Things like full time 4wd and auto headlights perfect for her.
Price for2022

The Limited by far. It is absolutely loaded with options now. And classically sporty / elegant.
MY DREAM VEHICLE 😢
SOME DAY...SOME DAY
I bought 2023 limited i love it
What do u guys think of that underground color?
The limited its better for me 😎
I just gave up my 2023 Limited 😢 but I just purchased the TRD, and I love it!
Like unlocked for the “THIS RIGHT HEA” 😂👍
I'll always choose the one that doesn't have the sunroof. I never want another sunroof. The TRD wins!!
I have the 2024 TRD premium underground with sunroof etc blows the limited away. She’s a beautiful

Love the commentary Jeff, holla!
I have a 2000 4 runner had no exs😊pences on it still in good shape dr it daily just took it to port lavaca got 32 milesafter blowing soot out😅
How come the gray limited back wheels look like it gotten the 2 inch life treatment ?
The only thing missing from the white limited is the chrome running boards top complete its sexy luxury finish
I would get the limited with the 3rd row seats.
How about off road ?
Man that wood grain glove box is sexy 😍
I wish Toyota would bet rid of the chrome, especially on the Limited!
THE CHROME IS WHAT GIVES IT THAT LUXURY LOOK

Yes, They should have shared the Limited's permanent 4WD with a cheaper model instead of the 20 inch rims and complicated shock absorbers.
Go with limited. Over interior and full time 4wd is a way go to for northern climates

It's a big decision maker.
That is incorrect, all 4Runners are body on frame
That dealer is more retarded than most, which is a tall order. All 4Runner are body on frame.
Hi Jeffrey greetings from Ethiopia
Could you add 3rd row seating to any trim now? The way you spoke about it @7:42 suggested that you could.
Only the Limited can you option for the 3rd Row. It’s a $1,400 option.
@@georgetown8986 both SR5 and Limited have 3rd row seat. 😊

I leased it. I’ve leased my last few cars
No JBL speakers & no sunroof on the gray limited ? 😮 u got to be kidding me !!!! That's an insult !!!
Is the TRD Sport FWD?!?!
No, it's is rear wheel drive and can be optioned with part time four wheel drive

No. That’s the problem. It is absolutely stripped to the bone in the US.
Canada gets it loaded up. We don’t.

that chrome looks bad
KDSS suspension good..............XREAS not.
The Toyotas are just dam ugly that front wand sucks I just can’t buy one
