Hi Nick, congratulations for you amazing tutorial... could you please link or somehow reference the tutorials that you mention at the beginning of your videos? am struggling trying to find this one with the "transform+paste" in your portfolio with no luck... Thanks!! 😀
Absolutely loved the video. I’m wanting to learn how to create simple patterns for wallet making that I can use to cut on a laser. I would be creating a basic rectangular design with rounded corners and adding a pocket at either end and then stitching holes that would line up with both the main panel and the pocket. My question is, do you already have a video(s) that you would suggest just showing those basic things or even better one specific for that? Subscribed! Thanks

Hi, how do you lock the export settings in inkscape. I need to export it at 4500 x 5400 with 300 dpi for merch by amazon, but when I try to set the width and height it changes the dpi and when I try to set the dpi to 300 it changes the width and height to something else. How do I lock it at 4500 x 5400 with 300 dpi
You'd have to resize your objects, because dpi and pixel size are (always) related. Imagine you have a 100x100 pixel image at 100 dpi. Then your 10,000 pixel square has a size of exactly 1 inch when printed (or shown on a 100dpi screen). If you turn the dpi up to 300 there must be 200 extra pixels in each axis to fill the same ammount of space (1 square inch), so your square has now a size of 300x300 pixels. If you'd only increase the dpi without adding the extra pixels then your square shrinks to 1/3 inch when printed. 4500 x 5400 @ 300dpi would be 15 x 18 inch. So select the rectangle tool, set the unit to inch and draw a 15 x 18 inch rectangle. Resize your design so it fits inside this rectangle. Easiest way would be to group your whole design, copy the rectangle and paste the size (the longer dimension) on your grouped design.
