  • Kenny Linden, scholar of Mongolian history and culture and HUGE Star Wars fan is on the show today to talk about "Sugaan Essena" Mongolian Folk Metal band The Hu! We're gonna watch it's use in the game Jedi Fallen Order before Dom, Daisy, Kenny, and the chat watch the behind the scenes documentary with the Hu! We'll unpack the term "Hunnu Rock", clear up some common misconceptions about Mongolian society, learn about throat singing and horse head guitars, and also just rock out to a dope track!
Head on over to / folkwise and join us every Tuesday night from 8pm- Midnight EST to watch Dom, Daisy, and special guests play video games about Folklore and discuss the folklore of video games LIVE.

thank you kenny linden. it's not easy to explain things like believe and so on. because everyone has own interpretetion of things. for example fear of young temuujin from dog. thank you for delivering your own opinion. it's always interesting see things from different angle.

As a Mongolian it’s very entertaining. Funny how other ppl try to understand our culture and try to put ancient culture into a box. Also the scholar needs to do more research if he is serious about what he does. Not sufficient understanding about our mindset and culture. But still it’s better than some others.
