Not sure if you might have looked into the background for this project since posting your reaction, but what I recall hearing was that EA was looking for some appropriately otherworldly sounding music for the game, had learned about the The Hu, and decided to reach out to the band's management team. The band already had a song called Black Thunder (lyrics in Mongolian) that felt like a good fit for the game, but ultimately a new language was developed to better fit the Star Wars universe, and the lyrics were reworked. So that's what you're hearing in EA's Sugaan Essena video when they sing - a brand new Star Wars language that debuted in the game. The original Black Thunder song was subsequently released on the band's second studio album, Rumble of Thunder. (Two different versions on the album, one standard, one extended.) There are several official videos, too, with one featuring a collaboration with Serj Tankian and DL of Bad Wolves.
Guessing both EA and the band were happy with this partnership, as I recently learned that The Hu contributed three more songs to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a follow up to Fallen Order. What's cool is that the band is now known in-game as "The Agasar," and if you search for the tracks online, you'll find them credited under that name, but you'll see "(feat. The HU)" included in the song titles. (Track names: Eerin Siinaa, Hohochu, and Eseerin Vasahina.)
Enjoyed your reaction to this! If looking for additional recommendations for the HU, you might try Song of Women, feat. Lzzy Hale (be a good one to hit around Mother's Day), the gorgeous Mother Nature (feat. LP), or maybe their awesome cover of Metallica's Sad But True. I'll leave it at 3, but could easily reel off another half dozen favorites. Not sure you can really miss with anything by the HU. I thoroughly enjoy their entire catalog!
