13:30 that camera effect is SO good.. If you slow down the video you can see it kinda flickers on and off really fast, during the main flash, thats what makes the effect of the image kinda burning into your retina even after its turned off again. That's fucking so well done. If they just had it flash on like normal without that "stutter", it wouldnt have the same effect.

They are not kidding about the atmosphere in this game. I was watching it with the sun shining and birds chirping, but I was still so on edge. Even the rustling of leaves from outside my window had me jumping.
It's even spookier watching this because I'm hunkered down from a hurricane and there's this weird flashing light I can't find the source of that I'm somehow unable to look directly at. Hope I don't die.
When Jirard said he felt like the door was going to fall on our heads, I couldn't help picturing an annoying ghost running around and putting buckets of water on top of slightly ajar doors so that hapless humans will get soaked when they go through
There's only one thing this game really needs.... 1 rubber duck scare! :P Hope the SGS plays more of this game, while some might say nothing much is happening... I have to agree with them about the dev's nailing the atmosphere. It's a dark and creepy game, and I do want to find out more about what is going on, what happened with the family, etc. I also want to find out if we are even alive / human or such.
I love SGS but I really wish they'd play a lot of these scary games with some kind of headphone setup, the audio is such a big part of them and they seem to miss so many directional audio cues with their usual setup.
It wouldn't bother me if they just had their stereo speakers set the right way around. Watch close, anytime there is a directional cue, they always look the exact wrong direction. Jesse does this with his headphones too, and has for years. I don't get it.
the inspiration this takes from Silent Hill, from the PT inspired visuals, atmosphere and walking simulator gameplay, to the cover being an allusion to Silent Hill 4: The Room's infamous visual of a door locked and chained from the inside, is undeniable. It's a good game on its own, just makes me wonder more about how Silent Hill would be with a sanity meter, although I guess you get that if you play dead by daylight as Heather, and go up against a Doctor on Midwich elementary

They didn't notice it in this playthrough but if you watch the eyes of the bears in the forest they actually stare at you as you move, watching...creepy as hell
What's the idea with the candle mechanic? It looks like the candle doesn't give you much. It must be stationary, it doesn't have a large radius (not even one hallway). You need a lot of fiddling to get it working.
