A retro horror game, in which you arrive at the old lighthouse on a small island near the coast of the United States. After the previous keeper has gone missing, you need to take over his duties and watch after the light.

I love how Davis’ mic was muted, but as a viewer their conversation went by fluently anyway.
When you watch it again, and you know where it happens, its actually pretty funny how hard they seem to be ignoring him. Davis turns it up to 10 because no one is responding to anything he's saying

It was quite the experience. The relief I felt when Jesse said "maybe we should look up" was astronomical.
They never pay attention. I think there should be a "designated driver" situation where at least one of them is sober and on paying attention duty. Lol

10 minutes in, I decided to watch the film, before watching this LP.
100% worth the watch for the references, and not an awful film either.
As i like to say, the Lighthouse is one of the weirdest fucking movies i have seen in my life and its a cinematic masterpiece
I saw they were going to reference the lighthouse, stopped, watched it during October, and now I'm back and ready for ALL the Lighthouse jokes. Also the black and white cinematography in that movie is amazing, but it is a trip. XD
I only watched the movie recently and oh man, is it a brilliant movie.

just saying, in getting the shot gun you missed a big chunk of the game. not saying you should go back or anything but, ya know. (actually you missed like, literally half the game you HAVE to go back and play it, don't get the last talisman for the bad ending. And then get the shotgun but don't shot the mothman but run. Think that's the last and the best ending.)

The fact that Davis is the only one who figured out that the paper with the shovel also had the evil trees on it, yet they decided to go to that area accidentally because of Jesse’s wacko reasoning that had nothing to do with the trees is the most SGS thing 😂

@@pairot01 You can get the shotgun if you want, but the alternate ending starts if you run away from the mothman instead of shooting him, and there's about 30 more minutes of gameplay that reveals more of what was going on with the island. I won't put spoilers here, but you can find it on TH-cam or wait for the gang to come back and figure out what happens if they want for a part 2 video.

I love this game so much! If you guys are interested, the ending where you don’t use the gun goes down a hell of a rabbit hole. I highly recommend playing through it.

I know what Davis is talking about. My mom makes those, it's not that hard.
You take a Pillsbury croissant and unwrap it so it's flat. Put the hotdog on one end and just roll it up. Do that 6 times, and place them on a nonstick cooking sheet, bake them at 375 until the bread looks golden brown and you've got a jumbo variation on the pig in a blanket.
My mom would also top it with chili and call them muddy pigs in a blanket. It's fucking delicious.

I really hope they revisit this game and some of the stuff they missed in the Dread X Collection. I don’t know if they just want to keep moving on with games or just don’t want to go back but I really think’d be fun to see them find the stuff they missed

Guys I highly recommend playing the last section again and running from the bugman instead of killing him. You're missing out on a sizeable portion of the game and it's a real shame!

I literally just finished watching "The Lighthouse" this is perfect.
I cant be the only one for like 10 minutes he had the rag yelling for him to look up at the glass..
And then they DID look at the glass and didn't see it. Four people failed to make this connection.
Four people make up one brain. And it isn't a good brain.
Yeah, I hate it when they refuse to look up. LOOK AT THE DANG GLASS! Things in your house are covered with slime, you cleaned them up... The lighthouse is covered with slime.... clean it up.
First thing they read: “ . . . and keep the glass clean.” If only there were something to clean the glass, like a towel, or cloth, or . . . .
That segment had me more distressed the entirety of the scares combined.

I'm so glad I've seen The Lighthouse movie before watching this. Getting all the references made it that much more enjoyable.
At 42:34, I thought I saw a crouched figure behind the canister closest to the door, so I took a screenshot and edited it. I found that there was a man there for a split second. He faded away when Davis got closer with the lantern. If you want, you can try it yourself.

Jesse, i just watched the alternate endings of the game, and i just wanted to say that you guys missed a HUGE portion of the game because you shot the monster, like 1/3 or 1/2 of the game, you've have to continue where you left off and play the rest of the game

My favorite movie to interpret is 1922. It is so good. You could say there were ghosts or they were just hallucinations of a madman. Love it.

The best part was the fact that -immediately- after they tried to metagame logic it with “they are still teaching us basic gameplay loop so we are safe” was when the monster chase happened.

Ok, four years later, and I actually just went and watched the other endings of the game. Holy cow, there is some big stuff not shown here! Anybody who enjoyed this should definitely look up another playthrough.
Makes me wonder if SGS ever played through the rest of it on their own. They would have been super interested!

I remember when I saw the trailer for The Lighthouse I was immediately excited because I thought it was gonna be very Lovecraftian You know, like Cthullu and shit... So I thought it would be the perfect movie to watch... with my mom...

There was literally not a single thing I disliked about The Lighthouse. Well except the farts maybe. Fucking masterpiece of filmmaking. So happy I got to see it in theaters as well.
