I just got excited by the B5 (I think that was the pitch) and thought with a whole minute left in the performance she was gonna do another one because I felt like the music was still building. Not saying what she did was bad or disappointing! I really should have left my expectations out of it, because she always does the unexpected haha
Hey Tre!! Amazing reaction as always, this song is really sad in particular because of her story, and I've read that this song is more dedicated to a child that she could never have, rather than some other love interest. And vocally she delivered one of the hardest octave jumps, B4 to B5 in mixed voice. But I feel u, and that sweet spot in her voice you're talking about, is definitely her head voice... she's an angel and can't wait to see you getting more into her world💜
Tre', the pain of romantic heartbreak was literally defined by Sohyang in this song. If you haven't experienced it, it's hard to comprehend. The cry in her voice as she laid out the story was incredible. How does one express anguish in a musical note? Sohyang does it - here and in "Hug Me". I don't know any singer who can portray the spectrum of human emotions better than Sohyang. When it comes to the male singer with that ability, Elvis Presley comes to my mind. Cheers.
I think the ‘unique’ Sohyang sound you’re referring to is her head voice. She’s extremely skilled when it comes to that and she’s also skilled in vocal dynamics. She has the crazy ability to make a one note sound so soft and one note powerfully loud with her voice. I recommend you to react to I Always Miss You from I Am a Singer 2 or any of her covers of Memory, to see her dynamics in action.
i've missed you, tré! i know we've both been a bit busy/overworked/overwhelmed/but still happy. i hope to stay in better touch with you; i adore you, dear sir. ♥️ ps: your reactions to my requests are such bright moments in my life, seriously.
Thanks for reacting to Sohyang again. But how have you done 4 of her songs and not seen “Bridge Over Troubled Water” yet??? That’s not allowed!😉 Really, you have to react to it. There’s a reason it has almost 10 Million views - and it deserves more. Pretty please 🙏
@@TreMcLeod_yay! so glad to hear, tré. that was the first performance of her's that i ever saw & it did change my world up a good amount, haha. i'm excited to see what you ended up thinking about it.
