It's that tool people get a safe and confident feeling from just knowing it's there while they carry out their tasks using other tools. I Definitely got love for the armored boys. The combination of infantry and tankers is like voltron .I worked alot with tankers in Al Anbar. They were indispensable to say the least.
My dad is a retired A-10 pilot and I can confirm this. My dad would get free drinks at a bar and he would be approached by people from the army to shake his hand whenever we would go shopping in the navy exchange.

A mentor of mine is an 11C who says that, "MPs are the enemy." On the other hand, I know an infantry captain and an MP sergeant first class who get along weirdly well for people of those two ranks. I also know an MP captain who, like a lot of MPs, was attached to a cavalry unit while deployed in Afghanistan. Pretty sure he hates cav scouts too.

I was an Army Engineer in the Reserves out of High School. Then did an active duty tour as an MP. Then reupped for another tour in the Infantry. This video was point on! LMAO. Especially when he dissed the MP at the end. (Just to note: MPs also have a combat support mission in addition to law enforcement and all three AITs are damn hard!) Still laughing though.
During the invasion force we had a Combat Controller attached to each infantry platoon. They were outstanding, a true testament to their branch of service and the military. That being said..we gave them a ton of crap for being “chair force”. In the end it’s really just a case of sibling rivalry.
@Adam My platoon was smart enough to not bring engineers for demolition. My entire platoon went through basic and advanced demo schools. Because learning breaching, taking out c wire, etc is a hell of a lot easier than teaching engineers how to be grunts. Also, grunts die more often than engineers so it kinda kills the suicider point.
I was expecting cooks at the end but that would've been too mean spirited for laughs. Glad it was the MPs because they can take the joke and laugh about it.

Some advice: you dont have to like veterans, just be patient.

i was a medic, saw stuff nobody should see. sometimes id get a report about severely injured people and id volunteer bc i would always hear about amateurs whod freeze and couldnt think straight. id rather mess myself up mentally so others wouldnt have to

@@ryanalving3785 i have recieved stares when i dont react like others would, you could say id become numb to those things, other veterans would always ask that they dont talk about it, but i do rather talk about it, for every 5 gruesome situations ive had 1 or 2 great experiences. gladly i dont suffer from ptsd, but i do have friends that need therapy. Some advice: you dont have to like veterans, just be patient.

@@ryanalving3785 my therapist (we have to attend one even if we dont need it) told me that most ptsd cases are mainly caused from loud noises or serious trauma injuries. thank you for your interest.

I’m not a grunt and and appreciate this. I remember being in Iraq around Christmas 2006, getting pulled over on base by the MP for having a break light out. I couldn’t fuckin believe it. I’ve been out 13 years and have been a cop just as long; and I still can’t believe it.
