  • Here's how to operate the manual top on a G-Body Carrera Cabriolet Porsche 911. Please use the towel so the soft vinyl window doesn't get scratched.
Always put the top back up when parked at night so the evening due doesn't harm the interior. You can also use the car cover provided in the front trunk.

It doesn't get any easier, I meet you at your arrival gate at either LAX or Santa Ana and you take off. Rates as low as $180/day Jan and Feb. Get in touch!

Nice and simple, unlike the worry of newer electric roofs if they go wrong, don’t fail often, but is a concern if they do!

I prefer simple too. This era of 911 electric tops are very problematic.

Fastest way to remove the top is to turn both levers while driving on the highway 😂 . Kidding, of course.

I have an 86 cab, can't get the cover to reach all the press studs to fasten. Hopefully this video will help.

I had the same problem. One trick is to dunk the cover in water and then put it on. It helps stretch it out some

@Tom, using this video because it is currently the newest from your channel. A while back you did extensive modification to the rear suspension pick-up points on your 911. Any feedback on how it handles? Maybe material for a future video? Appreciate all of your effort and sharing your knowledge.

Yes, a future video coming for sure. Handles great so far, but it's not where I want it yet. Still need coilovers, rear sway bar, 935 spring plates, etc.
All that's coming and some track days too.

Fine. I’ll watch a 4 minute video on how to use a convertible. Hello from a miata owner. ;)

Thank you. Not my usual challenging content, but this saves time when renting the car to others. Thanks for watching 😃

@@GarageTimeAutoResto I love watching your videos and found it funny. Posted at the beginning but after watching the whole thing all I could think of was that poor car salesman trying to sell this car to someone and how simple it was to make it topless. Hehe. Tough times back then.

LOL, yea a Miata is like 30 seconds and never leave the drivers seat. Of course it is manual. But fully understand if you're renting the car and need basic instructions.

@@cam3002 I wasn't going to make this video public, but who knows who might be looking for this information in the years to come. I'm not surprised a Miata has the same basic top, ha ha.
