A company that's known for making a fishing simulator is the last company I expected to finally give some competition in the train simulator market

Look at Dovetail games, they started the train sim world series, then started another called Fishing Sim World.

If this is from the creators of ZDSimulator I am not surprised at all - ZDSim was an absolutely superb piece of software, very detailed systems and interesting physics modules. They even had loco failures that you had to diagnose and resolve en-route by setting jumpers. This can be big.

@@Alekeinflies not really. Simrail is extremely limited at the moment and it's basically only multiplayer. I don't like the idea of 1 country every 1+ years

Dovetail has already lost, Railroader (and possibly Century of Steam) are the future of the genre. 15+ years of being the dominant title and Dovetail did nothing to make their simulators more immersive, 0 extensions to gameplay outside of printing DLC. Perhaps Dovetail will scurry around to implement interactive railroad and economy simulation into their future copy-and-paste titles, but chances are that is above their skill level.
Hopefully this makes dovetail get their act together a bit

@THE_IRON_HORSE I'd be quite happy to see DTG's absolutely shoddy business practices finally get slaughtered by this competition. We won't no longer be forced to pay £30 for a tiny route with no rolling stock and made to a very low standard.

Well I don't think any sim will blow dtg away in terms of singeplayer content from around the world. Simrail is multiplayer only with limited content. This is just German content that isn't even fully out yet lol

I can't wait to see the look on that fat old man mat pedelsdon's face when he realises there is competition and if people are'nt willing to pay £30 for a tiny DLC which almost zero effort has been put into making they will be able to play this very good looking game instead
@@Southeastern-Train-Channel that's not really constructive is it. Every time a new train game comes out, the usual response is tsw will get destroyed but that hasn't happened. Even with simrail, I know lots of people who will stick to tsw

And like I said, give the simrail Devs some time and they'll add more content, TSW is shit and overpriced, the only recent DLC for TSaw that has been good is the Ormskirk - Blackpool DLC, the rest is half-assed shit that is overpriced for what it is.
I think what's missing the most in all the train sim we currently have is the ability to make mods and have a sandbox mode to create content for our needs.
You can make mods with all train sims and there is a sandbox mode for some of them
Then who will buy the overpriced DLCs?
DTG will finally learn their place, and so will their addon creators, I am looking at you HIS and DTM
Hopefully see some UK routes at some point, but I'm happy with Germany as a start point. It looks fantastic.
Finally the free market is doing what the free market is supposed to do. Im sick of DTG monopoly on train sims so im glad to see another competitor.
Also I want to mention how the graphics for this game are vastly superior to TSW and TSclassic. Seriously DTG really does not give a fuck about us so let me again say im glad to see a new competitor on the market

Looks awesome and very promising!! I hope the game does well enough to eventually get some trains from other nations and continents in them! Still waiting for a good Train Simulator with Australian trains to drive; especially from Queensland! Germany is great to start with; lots of diversity for rail action there and with real rail operator branding too; not some made up ones!! I love that! I hope you stick to realism, quality and reasonable purchase prices for this game. Also please listen to reasonable community feedback! For example the only bit of major feedback on what I see in this trailer is maybe update those train sounds. They sound low quality and unrealistic; but it’s going to be early access so I won’t be too harsh right out of the gate! If you do this sorta stuff I’ll vastly prefer it over what DTG offers with Train Sim World and you’ll have something awesome going for you! I’m very much looking forward to this.
Would depend on licensing. They also have to learn the railroads itself in detail
@@potatoman451True, this game hasn’t even released yet so I’m not expecting a lot of nations right out of the gate, only Germany it seems which I’m happy with due to the variety Germany brings into the railway scene. I just hope one day the game will gain the popularity to be able to branch out to other places, that would be great😄
It looks cool and the demo plays great, didn't expected much but it's not bad at all, I'm sure this sim will grow in time.

Dang, the train sim space is heating up! Is there a possibility of 3rd party DLCs so that other countries like the UK and US can be covered?
If this product turns out to be quality right out the door, I'm hoping people support it in great numbers even if DTG finally gets their act together. I'd much rather support a new and dedicated developer rather than one that hasn't given a damn for longstanding customers for over a decade. I hope the long earned reputation of lies and deceit on the part of DTG finally comes and bites them in the rear end.

ZDsimulator is well known for its realistic physics and sistems modeling 👍 That will be a great competitor to TSW.
What does ZDSimulator have anything to do with this video or TrainSimWorld? ZDSimulator is such an old engine that there have been already a bunch of other recent new trainsims out there that have already replicated it, that it's no longer relevant to even bring up that title. I would understand the competition to knock TrainSimWorld out the water, but ZDSimulator shouldn't be compared anymore to any of these new releases.
@@radanju3 you didn't understand my message. The creators of ZDsimulator also develop Train Planet. So, the trains' physics and functionality must be ok.

@@Rittersport88 yeah, the same in TSW, where most of the players are concerned about graphics, sounds and how authentic numbers on the cars are, while few people complain of physics and systems modeling.
Zusi 3 is much more realistic, I'm a train engineer.
All raildroads have one to train us, here in europe the law states that we have to remind some operative procedures.

Hopefully this is better than Dovetail’s Train Simulator. Considering some, if not, most of their DLCs are broken with achievements unobtainable to the point you need a patch for it. The other being, being more consistent on maps and trains than instead being cheap towards the player’s experience.
From what I've seen and heard, the beta had a bunch of issues. Each train sim will have pros and cons. I don't think 1 will ever dominate the entire scene

If done well this will be huge. The community is pretty fed up with DTG 😅 oh and make sure you get it right so shadows don't pop into view, that's a major flaw i think while driving❤
As a resident of Aachen, it is cool to see it represented in the trailer, and with such detail, that it is possible to recognize without the station name being shown, all in all looks awesome, will it be available for MacOs?
I hope they'd also include situations from waiting for the ICE to pass by to getting so delayed that we need to dump passengers at Düren and return to Hamm. Not like I've experienced that numerous times or anything.

The only reason people think US freight is boring is because Dovetail churns out the same recycled gameplay over and over - notch 8 up a mountain pass, then full dynamics and a minimum set down the pass, rinse and repeat. They almost completely look over the whole aspect of switching, which just reduced to some random forward and backward moves and not at all representative of what switching is actually like, let alone running locals and working trackside industries.
Please keep updating Fishing Planet.

@@potatoman451 I have all the trainsims (afaik). TSW is garbage. TSC is ok bit many of the 3rd party addons are of terrible quality, Run8 is a great sim but the devs can't even get Anti-Aliasing to work, Trainz is more like a 3rd person trainset game. Simrail is good but lacks any US content..

If the game has the ability to make own consists or place locos and waggons where i like to and then drive them around, it will be great. More fun would be to create own routes - but thats another leaque
We are working on this option, however not in the first versions of the game.
As long as audio hasn't been relegated to n'th place then it may be immersive.
Played the demo during steam next fest and it seems performance wise a lot better than what is currently on the market. I am interested to see what the price will be.

Love the graphics! UI is a bit too big for my taste - could also be more minimalist.
I’m intrigued. It will be good for Dovetail to have some competition, may even prompt them to actually work on their routes and resolve the bugs/issues that have plagued recent routes.

im not gonna lie, my biggest pet peeve in most train games is the shoddy trash sounds that eventually get replaced by 3rd party people or just youtube developers.

Looks nice, always great to have more train Sims like this (and choo choo charles... ;) ) just to show how popular the subject matter is.
Issue is that these sims always have the same trains. Germany, UK, US and sometimes another country that pretty much has the same trains. They need to do countries like France, Japan, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy and so on.
I guess they start off with Germany as that is one of the best places to start with.
I bet after they got their shit down with Germany they will start expanding to other countries
@@evo3s75 Doubt it. None of the rails sims so far have ever done anything else. Only by mods added by people if available and even those cost way too much. Paying 40+ for a train with a route is just a scam.

Will it be possible to have ray traced lighting? Because I love the detail and everything with the Game but it looks so fake with the lighting and just uncanny, maybe RTX Support?
Graphics aren't everything and doesn't mean anything if the gameplay is bad
So far so good for the demo. DLSS3 and ray tracing (or even path tracing) are coming...
keen for another game where it costs $3000 to assemble a PC to the minimum specs
You only need that if you are trying to play a AAA game at 4k 60fps with full ray tracing. For other games, you can survive with some old hardware. My potato laptop with a gpu in the 770 range can play modern games pretty well
Demo is not optimized and it's definitely not the final performance. So expect perfect graphics with a reasonable hardware specs.
Finally the year we get photorealistic graphics and not something that looks like it’s straight from GTA 4.

I don't think anyone will beat dtg in terms of single player content with variety. No other sim has a 24 hr timetable with layers and a ton of different routes and trains to play
Simrail is extremely limited and I have zero interest in mp.
Some other popular sims including this one are extremely niche.
Looks great. Please don't go Dovetail way. I would pay for every loco and route but don't sell the same game every year changing its number. Also we expect good contact with You as train fans. Good luck!

What would make this stand out is a signalling role where players can operate the network.
Wouldn't exactly make it stand out considering that SimRail is exactly that.

There are plenty of other sims just for that.
Tsw is much more beginner friendly. Making a sim too difficult makes it not fun. Making it too easy is not good either. Tsw makes a balance

Please allow us to combine serveral route dlc's into 1 single open world. That's what Train Sim World really failed to do.
It is a really complicated issue. Two of the biggest issues is getting the signaling to work and the gameplay. Remember there is also a 24 hour timetable that has to work seamlessly. It's not as simple as connect 2 different routes together.
Another issue is whether the 2 routes are set in the same era. A route set in the 1950s and a route set in 2020 doesn't work. Also some routes are missing extra track to link them up.
Another issue is general performance because of all the traffic and assets, etc, especially last gen.

There are some gameplay videos if you look it up on youtube. There was a demo, but idk if it is still available but I heard it was quite poor

Sounds recorded from the trains, we tried and continue trying to record authentic sounds of every train we do.

Fishing Planet is a Fishing Planet. No connections with DTG. Team working on Train Planet is the former ZD-Simulator team, which was created sims to teach real world train drivers. So we can create maximum realism (if you folks will request it).
