Excellent video Kyle. We had the same issue with the fridge box seal and water intrusion. Installing a gasket like you did stopped that 100%. Also, we had to replace the same bolts on the fender for the door bungie. How are all of your exterior seals holding up? We picked up our MRXL in July and already have some issues with the black sealant (butyl maybe?) seeping out and compromising some of the silicone seals. We’re 12 hours away from Hiker so taking it back to them isn’t really an option.
My exterior seals are holding up. What seals were your issues so I know to look for them? I was also informed by someone at HTCE6 about the SAE solar connector on the side of my trailer. He said to put some sealant at the top where the connector cover connects to the base of the unit against the exterior of the hiker. He said that location doesn't have any butyl tape and water gets into that location. I'm thinking about making a video of all the "small details" that I learned at HTCE6 that would be good info to owners.
@@squaredropadventures it’s the windows that are the worst. The bottom of the drivers side window has so much butyl seeping out that it’s ruined the silicone seal. Thankfully it’s the bottom so much less likely to take on water but still kind of a bummer. A video about the things you learned at HTCE6 would be awesome!
Kyle! Keep 'em coming. Always lots of information for us trailer owners. See you out there. 73 de Bill
More to come Bill!
Good update. Thanks Kyle
Thanks Don
That weather stripping should have been done at the factory for sure.
Totally agree
