That's really nice to know. I was literally about to buy that, and a pair of Soyuz 013 FET SDCs. Was planning to use the TG for vocals, guitar and amp cab, maybe kick out, mono drum room. It's great it works so well for acoustic. The Soyuz' are for drum overhead, piano and acoustic guitar in stereo (especially nylon). Great to know these make such a good acoustic guitar mic too. Might get the Chandler before the Soyuz then, it's cheaper. Ever tried the Soyuz 1974 or 023 Bomblet on electric guitar? Really nice, on sung vocals and voiceover too.
Merry Christmas JO in TN from TC in OH ... M son and DIL in Goodlettsville send their regards also. Your content and your course have been my playing resource, and I appreciate the step-up you've provided my playing. Much to be thankful for.
I got lucky with my Stephen Hill 1a spruce top concert classical. Got it second-hand, barely used, when they were 4k. Now it's approach 10k, with that sort of waiting list. I'd never pay that now. But I'd never sell it either. For one thing, I've named it after my mom, who passed, and it's a birth-year guitar for my daughter. It also got me through the end of music conservatory, and those final recitals. So it means a lot to me.
Cool guitar! Happy Holidays to you and your family! Thanks for all the videos and knowledge you provide. Your authenticity is super refreshing in this wild world of spectacle that we live in.
Love your style, man. Thanks for sharing and for the inspiration. (Would love a little bit more on your playing technique, as well! ☺). On and up, and all the best!
Hey Justin! I just went to Carters and Gruhn’s when my wife and I visited Nashville in October. I, too came out unscathed and only bought a t-shirt at both places.😂 I would recommend both shops to anyone who wants to go to guitar shops in Nashville.
Hey Justin, have you ever owned an acoustic where after a few years you thought man this guitar is great and has really opened up? I think back when I was buying more acoustics that was the line you would get from a sales rep. I have one where I would say that happened. It’s a Gibson Songwriter w Brazilian rosewood back and sides and a spruce top. It always sounded good but after over 10 years of playing it, it has become my number one. Thanks, Ian.
Really sounds great. And I know over TH-cam doesn't truly do it justice. If I ever get another acoustic, a dream of mine would be to drive to Nashville (probably Carter's) to pick something like this out as a once-in-a-lifetime type of experience and instrument.
Really sounds like Joni Mitchell's guitar on her early albums. What new string set did you put on? Did new strings make a significant difference? Nice playing and thank you.
Amazing guitar! One other thing I noticed is that it went slightly out of tune when you're demonstrating that you shouldn't cover the top of the guitar 7:39
Great Vid Justin ,, lovely GTR and playing with lovely tone right enough .. $10.5K ?? ,, wow ,, sounds like my ( much cheaper ) Furch ,, you should check them out. .. Have a great Christmas with your family ..
Merry Christmas to you as well! Yeah it’s not cheap. $10.5k is the price of admission for BRW. This guitar is all but guaranteed to appreciate over time.
By the time it's recorded and added to youtube..they don't sound remarkably different than other guitars when in the hands of a pro. For that money? Nah.
Recorded with my absolute favorite acoustic mic (it’s just out of the shot under my desk): The Chandler TG Type-L. Link: sweetwater.sjv.io/kO4XJV

Thanks for the good video. I appreciate the tip on where you’re resting your right arm. Happy Christmas

I appreciate that! Same to you and yours
Wow... I've gotta say listening to you just noodling around is inspiring. Your such a talented guitarist !!!
My Zager sounds wonderfully old. Plays like a dream. Playability, sustain and action better than anything I see around Nashville Stores.
Beautiful playing. Thank you for sharing.
Just what I needed to start my day off. Great playing Justin.

Look for more courses and more free stuff from my mailing list this year. 🤠
Sounds fantastic!

I don't know if I missed it on your gear list, but what is your preferred 1/4" guitar cable?
Oh yeah, Condenser in front of acoustic is my go to for recording or just playing at home. Nice playing. thanks for sharing!
Aim it at the neck joint about 12” away. Can’t miss

Every Collings ever does exactly this.

Let me know. I’ll meet you there!
Merry Christmas to you and your family
Merry Christmas to you and yours, Dan!
Great sounding guitar...
Total Pro touch on that acoustic!!
Thanks man. I really do love playing acoustic

I didn’t put the strings on. Carter did right before Tim bought it, I believe. I should ask…

Yeah I mentioned in the video that it has brand new strings and they were moving a bit on me still.
@ oh I fought it was from your arm on the top of the guitar. My bad!

What about for when they’re recorded for records? Nothing sounds particularly good on TH-cam.
Depends on how you’re listening I suppose. Headphones or good monitors give me a much better idea of what is going on.
rock chalk even though you're a wildcat
I grew up watching KU basketball with my grandpa. He always teased me because he’s an old school Hoosier
