Recovery breathing in Freediving is an important part of a breath-hold and should be trained regularly! The goal of recovery breathing is to reoxygenate the body as quickly as possible after the breath-hold. Make sure that you practice recovery breathing whenever you finish a breath-hold, even a short one.

today i did a apnea walk. 100 meters... then i did hook breath. for me, hook breath is getting harder and harder when time of breathhold rises. i hope you can understand it.
short breathhold = easy hook breath
long breathhold = hard hook breath
after a long breathhold or dive i will breath naturly, but i force myself to hook. its very hard for me to do it. but im scared of bo if i didnt do it...
wish you all the best sergej!

Good of you to point out that recovery breathing should always be done, no matter what!

How bout after the 1 st dive? Can I do only recovery breath and directly into breath hold or I have to do recovery > breath up > and then breath hold.
    Thank you

Some people say that you should try to inhale the moment you get to the surface, and begin the hook breathing there, instead of letting a bit too air out before that. What do you think about that?

The sooner you start breathing, the better. This is for sure :) about "hook breathing", some freedivers do it, some not. There is no clear evidence that it's absolutely necessary. I would say it's more a "personal preferance".

Recovery breathing can help when a freediver is hypoxic to remain conscious.

Do i need recovery breathing in CO2 tables training!?

    • @KAIZENFREEDIVING

Unless it is "one breath" table (your recovery is just one exhale-inhale), yes, do your normal recovery breathing

How long should the recovery be?

    • @KAIZENFREEDIVING
      @KAIZENFREEDIVING  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

After the breath hold, it should be at least 3-4 recovery breath.
If the question is, how long to wait between dives, then it is 3-4 times of your dive time.
Let's say your dive time was 1 minute. Then you should rest at least 3-4 minutes before your next dive.
      Hope it helps :)
