Regardless, I have to give props to the stunt crew and Jack Gill. I can't imagine ever being thrown out of a moving vehicle and landing on dirt and gravel in the blazing sun.

Never got why they introduced super pursuit mode; KITT was seen going at over 200 miles an hour at other times anyway!
Seems like he basically turns into a flying car. When I was first watching this at age 10 I thought it was the coolest thing ever!
From what I've read, it was a gimmick to keep viewers around for the fourth season.

At 4:02, that's supposed to be the top going up? It's always so cheap looking when it's a close up of the cab of the truck and it's obviously shot in a studio, they just frame out the sides and don't have to worry about the rear windows. The A-Team did that alot too. Great stunts in this though. Looks like no harnesses or anything on the guy jumping from the bike to the truck and climbing up.

It is windy but the reason is because of the metaphorical hot air going around
This is the only time we get to see the auto-drive mode of the semi. Technogly, it was always present since season 1. Also, that guy got to see the most top secret government project in action...and he never realize it. lol.

That was one of the train wreck cars they turned into a convertible. They cut off the front end & mounted the body on a trailer. They used this for the insert shots of Michael driving with dialogue. Unfortunately the convertible shell was destroyed after Knight Rider was cancelled along with most of the KR cars. They did a story on the convertible chassis on The Knight Rider Historians channel.
@@pinball541 Given how crudely Knight Rider car were made, it must have been a haunting experience to drive the driveable convertible KITT. 3rd gen Trans Am was already falling apart with a roof on it, because GM saved on stringers going alongside central tunnel, and didin't give any. That's what the standard 'subframes' mod fixes.
How was RC driving the semi if his feet were up on the dash?
In the previous episode, RC mentioned that Bonnie added autopilot to the semi.

Too bad Michael and Kitt wasn’t inside the semi by the time of the hijacking. Michael and kitt would’ve roll out the semi and shut things down immediately. Would’ve been only a 5 minute episode. 🤷🏽♂️
