- We are back with Volume 2! Many of you have seen the Knight Rider bloopers/gag reel before. We recently re-digitized it from a new source, and then we sent it over to our friend Adam Kidwell at Promothean Digital. He used software to help clean up and sharpen the picture and what a difference it makes! Of course, it isn't Blu Ray quality, but it is not bad considering the source was a 35 year old VHS tape! If you need anything video restoration work, 3D modeling or 3D printing, Adam is your man!

There was a similar bit to that, that was in a show called Code Monkeys. I doubt that Williams was the voice actor (or if he did, but no one remembers) but it was Season 2, Episode 8, and DEAR GOD, it gets weird.
It looks like a happy set judging by fun they were having hence they produced one of the greatest shows to grace our screens. Thanks for all the good work you are doing Knight Rider Historians by keeping the memories alive.

I don't know though. Michael Knight was shot in the face once, I've been living my life with health problems that don't have a cure. So maybe all the bad timing and circumstances were placed onto me, lol.
Hasselhoff just could not keep it together every time Edward Mulhare screwed up his lines LOL! Those two worked really well together. Also that jump over the K5 Blazer, OUCH!

Ugh breaks my heart to see those landings after a Turbo Boost. Seeing KITT fall apart like that just isn't right lol. Makes you wonder just how many KITT cars they blew through in 4 Seasons. Also would love to see behind the scenes footage of them making KITT transform into Super Pursuit Mode for the first time. The one scene of him Transforming that they show in almost every Episode of Season 4. How did they get the movable parts to pop out like that ?
The jumping cars used fiberglass bodies i think and super pursuit mode used heavy rams to pop out but the car engine was not inside the body

@@tiborkutak2332 Oh Wow ok yeah that would make sense so they just had the empty body of the car and the parts that expanded out were just hidden inside the empty car. TV magic !! :) Then I guess in the episodes where they actually show Michael driving KITT from the outside in Super Pursuit Mode that car is built to always be in Super Pursuit Mode. It never actually changes back and forth. Although it would be cool if it did lol.
SPM: Every shot showing different parts popping out were filmed with a stationary car on a dino. There was another "Night version" too. They were shot in a way so that the footage can be reversed to end SPM.

Heute,b.z.w. im Nachhinein kann ich sehr gut verstehen,warum David so gerne den Michael Knight gespielt hatte,die hatten alle sooo viel Spaß am Set,das war wie eine große Familie,ich kann deswegen auch gut David verstehen,warum er der schönen Zeit hinterher trauert,es muss fantastisch gewesen sein,alle hatten einen Riesenspaß😢,super,wenn es noch mehr davon gibt,nur her damit,ich bin gerne dabei❤😂

I received the Blu-Ray box set as a Xmas gift and surprisingly there was no extras. I was hoping to get some outtakes, deleted scenes, cast interviews & etc. But nope. The Airwolf box set is the same scenario.
@@GartheKnightReturns I had the blu ray boxset and returned it straight away. Some scenes are missing and no extras . My old dvd boxset is better tbh

Patricia McPherson and Rebecca Holden are both gorgeous ladies that's for sure. It's nice to see the cast having fun knowing it wasn't all strict and by the book acting. I always wished some of these older shows would do blooper reels or behind the scenes clips and put them on dvd's or something. That's part of these shows that viewers never really got to see when the shows were originally on tv.
It's too bad this that this show got cancelled I actually enjoyed the a additional character Peter Parros in season 4

It's so unorthodox to see Dave Hasselhoff sware lol but it's cool Dave seems like a fun down to earth kind of guy I hope to meet him in person one day I've been a fan since I was 10👍👍👍

Watched the show as a kid and just saw the bloopers now and it’s pretty wacky and freaky with the auto suck!🤣🤣
Image is stretched out to 16:9. If you are doing more, worry about the height and pillarbox it, no distortion that way.
I get the 1080 goal, but if it’s all the same to you, I prefer 4:3 when it’s shot in 4:3. Please don’t stretch Bonnie like that again...(or Michael or KITT or Devon...)
@@danmurphy9173 Not the be "that gal" but 1080 refers to the *vertical* resolution specifically to accommodate stuff like this... they can totally hit that mark while retaining the 4:3 aspect ratio :)
@@pennygadget7328 Oops! Totally , thanks. Well - i suppose I meant the 16:9 aspect ration or the otherwise "widescreen" format as opposed to the 4:3 ratio. Perhaps KRH can still hit the 1080 mark while un-stretching this...

Deshalb haben sie ja auch immer DEN Teil der Szene herausgeschnitten,als K.I.T.T. wieder auf der Erde landete,das wurde (durfte)nie gezeigt werden,eben so sauber wie möglich 😮
This was fantastic to see. If there happens to be any Super Pursuit Mode/Emergency Braking System test footage lying around, I hope you all are able to obtain it. I've always thought that was cool. I'm just a big kid in a grown man's body.

@@mattayres371 When you see the cars disintegrating on impact, the editors didn’t use those few seconds of footage. They’d cut away to another angle, since every stunt is shot with multiple cameras. It’s too expensive to film something like a car jump twice and if any mishaps or mistakes occur, it’s up to those guys to work around those, piecing together what material there is to obscure that.
The two here that show the most damage (from Season 2’s ‘Soul Survivor’ and Season 3’s ‘Lost Knight’) are good examples, if you go back to those episodes and compare how they were “presented”. The magic of film & television...it’s all an illusion. It’s why they started using miniatures more, as that illusion was costing too much.

Easily the best show from the 80s, and thats really saying something. Hasselhoff was awesome as Michael Knight. I hated super pursuit mode though🤣 it just looked so cheesy. They could have just had a cool spoiler pop up, and then just say RC boosted KITTS engine performance, to explain the higher top speed. Just the fact they rebuilt KITT at all was incredible. All they needed to add was a spoiler.
Great seeing this blooper reel come back too. Too bad it couldn't have the Catherine Hickland clip at the end because of the copyright stuff.

David ist ein toller Mensch, richtig sympathisch,so auf du und du,ein ganz supertoller Typ,mit ihm kann man richtig gut Pferde stehlen,und überhaut nicht eingebildet,so wie das bei manch anderen ist,die sich auf ihren Erfolg dann was einbilden und arrogant sind,bei David nicht

Any chance to upload a version with the original soundtrack and non-censored trashtalking? (On your website for example) It has killed me to not hear the notorious "f*ck you KITT" in the headache part or the survivor music at the end. Still have this KR Bloopers in DVD with it's menus, pretty cool!
I've got a copy of this on DVD as well from years back. Wish this hadn't been censored or the soundtrack changed either as it was just fine the way it was (likely changed for copyright reasons and to comply with YT censorship reasons but still).
I find the SPM mode very exciting. But I've always wondered if it would make sense from aerodynamics perspective. The extended front spoiler would increase the slip of the front axle at high speeds and minimize directional stability.

It appears to be a bit of an oversight - it certainly is supposed to be presented in 4:3. I'd recommend watching it on a TV via a streaming device, then change the aspect ratio on the TV.
@@leanomon yeah, except doing so will just letterbox the image and make it harder to watch...but yeah, 4x3 would be nice. Thankfully not much is cut out but it's just weird.

I remember a video clip long long ago about KITT being on display surrounded by a bunch of kids.
The kids then started hitting and kicking KITT and he started denting. The kids (thinking he is invincible) got the surprise of their lives seeing KITT sustaining damage. Hahahaha!

During your visits with the stunt coordinators, did anyone remember and share with you how they determined when to use the flivver car or a Trans Am for a jump? Someone had to made the call.
Was the Super Pursuit Mode KITT used a separate vehicle, or was it attachments stuck on one of the regular KITTs?
