I run 235-85 r16 courser cxt on my 2006 silverado dually. I have 7000 miles on them, with 5000 of those hauling my 5th wheel. The tires barely show any wear. My tongue weight is 3000lbs plus my 275 hitch and a fully loaded tool box. I love these tires.
My Ram is 17 years old and the rust fleas ate it up the same as yours. I ended up putting a flatbed on it. The cost of a new truck is on par with my mortgage payment. Thanks Jeff

I have those tires on my 1 ton, good stuff! Yeah, they do howl a little on the highway. That's fantastic! I drive less than you do, lol. I had mastercrafts on my mail jeep, but the dirt roads wore them down pretty fast.
Everything wears out fast on a mail vehicle. Funny how you had jeeps years before they showed up around here. Now every mail carrier has one. These poor mail carriers have become more like a UPS carrier than a letter carrier these days. My carrier told me it’s not uncommon for her to go back to the post office 3 times during her route and reload.
You drive your pickup like my Dad did his. He bought a 1993 Chevy Silverado 2500 in 1998 with 28,000 miles on it. He passed away 18 years ago & I got his pickup after that. I still drive it off & on today. It has 128,000 miles on it now. I would drive it more if it got better mileage than it does. I drive my 2011 Buick that gets twice the gas milage most of the time. People tell me I should just sell it but I just can't bring myself to sell Dad's pickup.
Replaced the ujoints in drive shaft and the ball joints and universal joints on front axle, and a starter. Those ujoints was the first I’ve ever had to replace in my lifetime of driving. So I don’t think it was from my driving habits.
Well it’s been resting for 2 1/2 months now. lol. It did pretty good this past year. Had to replace 3 hydraulic hoses that ran the spreader, the way they was ran around the back, they was wearing into each other and once the first one sprung a leak, they all needed to be replaced. And of course they was inside a canvas type cover so you only found out about the problem when things quit turning in the middle of the afternoon at the far end of the field. Other than that and the feeder house chain jumping a cog twice during corn it was pretty flawless. Never could get it set to get the beans as clean as I was used to getting, but that was about all.
Every Dodge I've owned you put in ball joints when you get new tires or need a inspection . But I think yours where OK 👌 . There's a place North of me that has 100s of take off beds. Bale beds are big in my parts even on shorts beds . Hell I can't figure it out to save my life give 15,000 dollars for a short flat bed
As long as the belts don’t brake hem mastercrafts will last a long time. Had some on my old truck and the belts started breaking and the6 would not stand behind them. That being said they are a lot cheaper

A few years ago I priced what getting new bed panels and painting them would cost. It was $5000 then. I bet it would be close to $7000 now with Biden economics.

You just need to quit gas assing around the neighborhood, that thing doesn't hardly get a chance to cool off....... My farms are about 4 miles apart, it's actually amazing how many miles a guy can put on....... never fails, what ever I'm needing for a project is always at the other place.

I might be mistaken here, but I'm pretty sure Mastercraft tires are made by Cooper tire, and I have had good luck with Coopers.

You are very right about that. We put 16,000 on it in a year. We did a lot of adventures with it this summer besides it’s our daily driver.

It will be back. Being the second owner of it makes it hard to let go. Won’t ever find another one that straight if I ever wanted one again.
