Exploring Halo 3's Cutscene Areas!

- Halo 3 has a couple of cutscene exclusive areas and in this video I'm exploring them! I only included areas where I could walk around in/stand on something and I've also left out duplicates such as the Shadow Of Intent Bridge since that appears in Floodgate, The Ark and Epilogue with basically no changes (besides a hologram of Earth). The few Golden Moas you see are not placed by me
If you want to see a part 2 with the rest of the cutscenes areas (regardless of whether you can walk around in them) let me know! :)
Also I switched to using Davinci Resolve for editing my videos and I'm still getting the hang of it so expect some editing mistakes for the next couple of videos... ahem 8:12...

The Shadow of Intent bridge looks like a better multiplayer map than Citadel
years later the game is somehow more perfect
I just played through the trilogy again and have to say these games have a special place in my hearth. Sure they all had flaws and weren’t perfect but they were made to be fun, entertaining, tell an interesting story and most important with love for the fans. So sad where Halo went after Reach and the gaming industry in general.

3:00 it looks like The shadow of intents bridge is the same as one of the flood areas on high charity

The arrival area is pretty neat

I don't know why, but Flood infested High Charity skybox terrifies me! It's like the exact opposite of the moreso grand, calming and beautiful skybox of h2 and h2a High Charity
Arrival looks so beautiful at that time of day. I wish Sierra 117 was that early in the morning, it looks so nice
i never realized the covenant bridge ship geometry gets reused for cortana, this version looks like itd make a cool 1v1 map
Ever notice how the floodship in campaign mission 5, looks really really similar to the cortana mission?
iirc, they cut the flood ship mission, reused most its work for cortana, and created a really small similar section to slap onto the end of the floodvoi mission.
and that the cortana mission was gonna be way way more obviously a flood version of high charity like we saw in halo 2. Instead of the weird vague version with small interiors we got.
that's why you see a covenant ship bridge floodified, in what is supposed to be the floodified high charity mission.
I would love to see this uncut. most of cortana moved up to mission 6, a brand new cortana, and a brand new guardian level based on the one that was cut. There's also an educated guess that epitaph is a remain of another cut level that was meant to happen after guardian, but before THe Covenant. for a total of 13 missions i think
@@ugoboom Oh the cut level you're thinking of has been spoken about by Bungie devs before. The Covenant was originally two levels, the Three Towes/Barrier section and then the Citadel charge which was originally a Forerunner City instead.
The fact there's Golden Moas hidden in these maps makes me think 343 had planned to allow players to reach those places.
Considering these Moas were placed by them, we can tell this wasn't Bungie's idea.
Love the music you included. Makes the atmosphere really awesome, as you normally have gunfire and stuff going off in game usually, also could you please do this for the other games?
I love how you explored literally every nook of each room haha. This video is a perfect example of the classic Halo player mentality of "I can totally crouch jump into there"
The Shadow Of Intents bridge has always been a mysterious place I wished I could explore in game ❤
Interesting that Halo 3’s FUD interior isn’t too far off from what H4’s looks like in certain areas, despite the radically redesigned ship.
It’s the other way around, it’s not that halo 3 resembles halo 4. It’s halo 4 resembles halo 3. I assume 343 took cues

Despite the radically redesigned ship in H4, a lot of the interior design cues carried over. It’s nice to see.
Something i realized between the halo 3 charon class frigate and halo 4 strident class is the size difference, in halo 4 you don't even go to the bridge, you go to the observation room, in the intro cutscene you can see on the exterior of the ship, the observation room is tiny in front of the massive bridge, almost as big as a cruiser!
being in first person down the cortana halls helps give an appreciation at the true scale of the forge that creates the halo ring

I wonder if the crates in the first cutscene were just left over from the next mission or if we were meant to see more in that cutscene considering the angle of the camera hides all of the crates in the actual scene

huh i bet you could rip some of those forward unto dawn sections and use them for the pillar of autumn and maw scenes for halo 3 ce

Very cool, love exploration videos especially with area's I haven't seen explored before. Great video, please do more! Also did you add the music in the video or does the music play with you just being in those areas?

I know this comment is not related to this video, but I want to give some feedback for Halo 3 CE.
I think the AI for the Flood is a lot less aggressive than the original AI for Halo CE. Is this the Halo 3 Flood AI, btw? Because I notice that the Sangheili Flood just walk towards their target most of the time and only sprinting sometimes, instead of dashing towards them like the original Flood AI would. Correct me if I am wrong about the AI.

I think that the original CE was way darker than this. Sorry if I am being fussy, but I also want to say that the Anniversary graphics also have this issue where it ruins the atmosphere of "Keyes" when John-117 is outside "Truth and Reconciliation".

Hello Kashiiera, for the Assualt Rifle, can you make it more accurate with the reticle being the size of like the Halo 3 ODST silenced sub machine gun? The accuracy of the AR bothered me. I mean, it's a RIFLE, not a sub machine gun.
Can you make the remastered mark v available for 2 and 4, i'd unironically beat the halo 4 campaign again after almost a decade of not touching it if you were to.
why has no one ported these to the multiplayer yet? it would be so sick!
I did turn the Shadow of Intent's bridge into a Multiplayer map way before the mod tools, maybe I'll revisit it again now that we have them
