    -----------------------------------
In my op. 2, "The Cycle of Seasons" I set the four seasons to music with a particular focus on the idea of the cycle - this piece has neither a beginning nor an end and can last incessantly.
The piece travels through the entire circle of fifths - twelve keys for twelve months and three keys for each season, which means that it connects to itself at the end and forms a cycle.
I have little to no experience with orchestration, so this project is not without its flaws. However, I achieved my goal of setting the seasons to music and am more than satisfied with the result.
The audio and score were created with the help of MuseScore4.

Sounds good but the constant slow tempo gets too repetitive. Summer has a bit more movement but still it's not by much and the harmonic rhythm is still on the adagio/andante side.

Overall you have good orchestral instincts, but your flute scoring is problematic throughout. In particular, low flute and low oboe together are about the worst possible combination -- the oboe will completely smother the flute down there. Low flute has close to no projection at all while low oboe is its most pungent register. You also have got to give your players a bit more time to breathe here and there.

Thank you for your advice. I never studied orchestration - that is something I really need to do.

@@schlui believe you can innovate in it. Tchaikovsky had gone against all the instructions of not to do with orchestration of his time, and Debussy tried something similar in others areas... Both worked right. You may make it work too! In some way, you already did, because your music is awesome already!

i'll echo that-it doesn't sound too bad in the mockup, but low c's/b's on oboe don't have the lyrical quality you're hoping for. english horn could be good for that, or tenor range bassoon, even horns. if you have these delicate texturing happening and you ask your oboist to play a bunch of extreme low range notes, it will sound quite jarring.
i really like the ideas and i hope you keep posting so i can hear how your progress comes along! and if you haven't already checked out some stuff like thomas goss' channel @OrchestrationOnline, it could be helpful to you to check in with as you keep writing.
thanks for sharing and take care!
