Hey smokin Joe I have a few good radios that need love are you available? Also would love one of these in my 148gtl I need a good repair shop to do what I can’t !! Have a wonderful day 73’s
What is the input and output impedance on the amp before and after installation?? No one that sells these or installs them will answer this very simple question!!! The AD203 after cutting the big blue resistor to get more than 55 watts out are not a 50 ohm load once that resistor is cut. I was hoping you might be the first radio repair and modification technician to actual comment on this. So far I have asked about 5 different internet technicians with zero reply's. They delete the post and then act like no one has said anything! Normally they blame the Fairchild 13N10 for the problem or what ever transistor is in it. Obviously it is all about the $$$ or people would actually do the testing and release the information to warn other's about these poorly designed amplifiers! You can look at the schematic and see that it does not add up to a 50 ohm load or close to it. I am sure we all know what happens when you have different loads in an antenna system!
Well first there is no comparison between an AD203 and the Rfx95hd... RFX95HD uses a ERF9530 which unlike the 13nq is actually designed for RF. The input and output are both tuned 50 ohm LC circuits. There are no issues with input or output reflected power at least in the ones I have installed anyways... As far as the AD203 I have not has any issues with the ones I installed in the past . I never clipped the "blue resistor"
I noticed in one of your videos that you have a Marconi 2955 radio communications test set, which is a great piece of test equipment. I have the 2955B but I get a horrible screeching, clicking, buzzing cacophonous sound through the 2955B's speaker when I feed the mic socket the 2955B's two-tone output while trying to carry out a two-tone (500Hz, 2.4kHz) USB test and adjustment with the 2955B (connected directly to the radio's antenna socket) and a separate scope (connected to an RF sampler on the radio's antenna output) . The scope signal is very noisy and unstable but shows the desired pattern more or less but jumping about in time with all screeches and buzzes as they kick in and out. I've tried with two different radios but I must be missing something as I just can't get rid of the noise and get a steady scope display no matter what I do with the two-tone signal levels. I'm guessing I must be making a classic mistake here (some kind of misconnection causing feedback?) about which I hope you'll immediately know the cause? Even if I feed a 1kHz, 30mV signal through the mic socket I get the clicking, buzzing and strange tone albeit slightly less severely but the scope, again, shows a very unhappy signal. Any idea? Thanks!
I sale all makes and models. Like it says in almost all of the video descriptions www.442built.com for sales, quotes , and service use the contact tab.
got any more rfx95hd´s ?
???.... Anyone Know where I can just buy the heat sink only to mount on the back of the radio?
Hey buddy were do you find the heat sinks for the RFX 95 HD I have the board only just need the heat Sink to mount it to the radio... ? Thanks
He passed away a year or so ago.

Buckaroo, these guys have absolutely no idea what you're talking about... lol

What's the dead key to power the 95
Hey Joe does this radio have talk back and echo in stock trim?
Wat is ur Instagram for d.m
Awesome work!!!
Does it have variable power?
Variable power is not a problem
I guess you don't sell any of the radios you have in your videos?. Nice work as always. Thanks for uploading.

That's pretty slick
