There's a 40-minute documentary about Vicarious on yt too, that briefly covers Adam Jones' visual effects career, prior to forming Tool. A really interesting watch, showing the process of creating the video from scratch. The Hydraulx team did an amazing job!
Adam jones is the guitar player and hes responsible for alot of the visuals with tool. He worked in Hollywood movies doing special effects for alot of huge movies like terminator 2, jurassic park, and alot of other stuff. There visuals are crazy.
Just to clarify, they are from L.A., so they’re speaking from (their) experience. Yeah, Tool has an underground/cult following. Often misinterpreted in my opinion. I’ve heard them called grunge, alternative, nu-metal, metal. They’re kind of their own thing though.
This album, Ænima, was an homage to brilliant comedian Bill Hicks. He had a routine called Arizona Bay, and much of the lyrical content in Ænema references it.
Danny Carey is the best living drummer, IMO. MJK isn't weird, he's just himself. Each member has mastered their craft. Have you seen "Pneuma" Vic Firth cameras? It's the drum cam on Tool's drummer, Danny Carey. If you haven't please watch it next, it's mind blowing! This song "Aenema" is from the album "Aenima". #Toolforever
As a person who is weird, I dont think of weird as a negative but more like unique or intriguing. I'll check out Pneuma cameras on the next Tool watch!
Tool and Sleep Token are my favorite bands. I LOVE this song!!! Maynard (the singer) has another band you'll probably like, call A PERFECT CIRCLE. They are as good as Tool to me. They have a woman guitar(bass?) player that adds to the vocals. The drummer from ST (II) is definitely on par with Tool's drummer. Probably influenced by Tool, cuz i was listening to this song Aenema in the mid-late 90. So Tool definitely influenced ST 😂 yeah, I can dig it. You should look up Judith by A PERFECT CIRCLE. It's really good. FYI, Maynard (singer) is weird! 😂😂😂 Guess that makes the music weird! But i like it!!
@@RichInReaction lol yeah! A Perfect Circle is the singers OTHER band. Kind of like Slipknot and Stone Sour, Corey Taylor is the front man to both bands. Also Mudvaynes singer has another band called HellYeah. Little more bluesy but still hard rock. Look up Alcohol N Ass by HellYeah. If you're familiar with Mudvayne at all you know the singer is epic. I'm blanking on his name at the moment 😂
@@RichInReaction also, Judith and 3 Libras are APC classics. They have newer stuff out, but I'm not sure which song I heard recently. But yeah, lead singer to Tool is the singer for APC
@Rob74959 have you seen the video where he's wearing a diaper and nothing else? I'm all for art, but that's just weird to me....of course this was in the 90s when he did that, but yeah. He's on the eccentric side for sure 😃
@@RichInReaction It's not your fault, my friend! You couldn't have known. But censoring the words of a song really seems like stupid absurdity to me. Maybe it's because I'm European, but I don't really understand the meaning of it.
This song is about the fact that California is separated by a fault line that an earthquake will eventually cause it to separate from the contiguous United States which also includes a lot of ideological ideas and followings
i've never heard anyone say that, and i've never heard him talk lol, I had to go look up an interview to find out how. I'm guessing speech pattern/cadence?
@@RichInReaction lol yeah prob both those things. But jimi is my idol and that was the first thing I thought when you spoke. I dunno. def your tone is a part of it, same mouth shape.

Great song but original explicit version would reduce so many bleeps. Love the reaction though. You gotta keep going with Tool !
I just assumed it was the regular version because it came off their TH-cam channel. 😅
@@RichInReaction
Just the cuss words were (silenced) out. If you read the lyrics you would see how much they took out.
@@RichInReaction pro tip....always listen to the uncensored versions of Tool 😁 You get the full experience that way 😆
@@NikkiWright-STLVR23 lol i didnt know the official video would be censored.
@@RichInReaction 😆😂😁

oh thats pretty cool, i'm not familiar with Bill Hicks but it sounds like they were able to help spread his thoughts to ppl
No, the dirty version hits differently as with all their performances. Live or otherwise
Check out The Remedy by Puscifer

Subscribed for more Tool! Spiral out my friend!!
The world has been sleeping on Tool kind sir...... it's good for the soul.

@RichInReaction , I see what you're saying and unique is an excellent synonym for weird! I look forward to watching when you do!
