Apocalyptica is a band that uses cellos to create heavy metal music, and they are from Finland which is why they weren't speaking English at the beginning.
The band consists of the 3 cellists you just witnessed plus a full time drummer which I'm not sure why he wasn't in this music video but they do have a drummer.
Their very first album was titled "Plays Metallica by Four Cellos" released in 1996 which consisted of all Metallica covers. They had 4 cellists up until about 2001 and they also didn't bring on a drummer/percussionist until around 2001 so the Metallica covers were straight up 4 guy's head banging on cellos.
Their follow up album was titled "Inquisition Symphony" which again was only 4 cellists head banging to covers of Metallica, Faith No More, Sepultura etc.
2001 saw the release of their 3rd album "Cult" which I believe was the last album to have 4 cellists and introduced a percussionist/drummer which introduced drumming effects and other percussion instruments to give it a more intense feeling...and it worked. It also introduced the use of guest vocalists from different bands to perform on songs they wrote lyrics for which they've been doing ever since.
"Reflections" was released in 2003 and marks their 4th album and the first album to have actual drums...and most of the drumming was done by Dave Lombardo of Slayer.
2005 saw the release of their 5th album which happened to just be self titled and introduced the actual full time drummer who's been with them ever since.
"World's Collide" was their 6th album released in 2007 and featured more popular guest vocalists on certain songs they wrote lyrics for.
2011 saw the release of "7th Symphony" which as you can guess from the title, their 7th album that introduced more of darker heavier sound. Some of the guest vocalists include Lacey from Flyleaf, Brent from Shinedown, Joe from Gojira...and the list goes on.
They've released numerous albums since then and I'd be here all night listing them off. Lol. But their first 2 album's were basically cover albums and from then on alot of original compositions by them. I definitely recommend giving their discography a listening to because there is no other band that can create metal music on classical instruments like these guys can. Many have attempted to copy them but Apocalyptica are the OG's.
And that single you just listened to is from the upcoming album "Plays Metallica Vol. 2" being released in June. Unlike the first Metallica album they did, this will have a more heavier sound and actually include drums.
