  • Night Time Routine with the Kids ||Working Mom || In Bed by 7PM || SOLO Mommy Routine
    Evening Routine as a working mommy of 5. I show you how I get my kids to be in bed by 7pm. My husband usually only gets home at 7PM, which means I have the responsibility of getting the kids to do their homework, eat dinner, and in bed by 7. I used to wait for my husband to come home prior to putting the kids to bed, but that would just rile up the kids even more for HOURS. Most weekdays, since starting his new job, my husband does get home by 6:30, which is great!
    With this video, my hope was to show you how real my evenings are. They are messy, loud, and fast paced. To keep up I try to be as organized as I can be. Hope you enjoyed.

    1. Try using a dry erase marker on the permanent marker. Simply trace over the permanent markings then wipe off.
    2. Try using hand sanitizer. Just squirt some on the chair then wipe.
    3. Try vinegar.
    I teach Kinder and #1 always does the trick.

    If you don't mind my saying so, Sonya, you need to have some videos on child-rearing! They are so well-behaved! Everyone sitting at the table at the same time, eating dinner together! No throwing things, no outrageous tantrums, no talking back or outright destruction. I have seen a LOT of kids (i was a nanny for a while) and I am telling you, this is not the norm. You are the new SuperNanny!

    • @SonyasPrep
      @SonyasPrep  3 ปีที่แล้ว +57

      Trust me my kids do all those things as well. As much as we wish kids to be born perfect and well behaved they aren’t. They really arent supposed to be if you think about it. This is how they learn and grow. In a nutshell they cry, scream and don’t listen as well I just edit those moments out for the sake of everyone’s ears. Lol

    • @MarySmith-gu5nb
      @MarySmith-gu5nb 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@SonyasPrep Well yes, kids ARE supposed to test boundaries and be loud and playful, etc., but your response points out something very important. The goal in child-rearing is to be able to love your children, enjoy their learning ---- but also make it agreeable for other grown-ups to be around your kids. One of the kids I was a nanny for was extremely violent (at the age of 6!), and once pushed his uncle down the stairs, resulting in an injury so severe an ambulance had to be called. Trust me, your kids are angels!

    Use alcohol. Alcohol like rubbing alcohol or spray sanitizer gets marker stains off usually. It is even effective on simple pen stains. One time my daughter scribbled on a paper wallpaper with a pen. I carefully patted some alcohol letting wallpaper dry and then gently patted away that stain completely the second time, i haven’t even damaged the wallpaper.

    Wow you run a very organized household! Great job!! Hashem should continue to give you the strength to be a mother and wife!
    My kids miss my husband after a long day away from eachother, I try to give them 20 min together even if it cuts thru their bedtime, it's important for the bonding time, I used to clean while my kids eat, however I learned that during the mealtime, that should me the time to bond with the kids, speak about their day, catch up and just sit and enjoy eachothers company. The house work will never end ,but this age will fly by, if that's not feasible then I would make alone time with each child and get to know them, many times we get so lost in the routine of life that we neglect to bond with our children. Theirs too much responsibility on the woman, something will have to give, we are so limited in our energy, so if I find myself exhausted after a long day of work, cooking, cleaning I noticed my relationship with my husband isn't as close as it should be, so next time around I put my house chores on hold to make that time to bond with my husband and kids, instead of washing the dishes while my kids are up, I play with them and take care of my house chores later. Cause thats secondary, family bonding and shalom bayit should precede the house chores this is advice that was given by my Rebetzin and I'm grateful got that. I dont know how u do it! the household chores can wait, sit on the couch with the kids they grow so fast!

    I had a similar routine with my son pick him up after daycare and we will do his activities. Then we would go home and I will make him do chores such as vacuuming and dusting furniture. Now mind you he was three at the time. I feel that this gave him a good sense of accomplishment and being grown-up. Then when he was done, He would often want to cook with me. I would set him up with a vegetable peeler, a cutting board and a small knife ,so he could learn how to cook like a big person. It was great . I do remember one of my neighbors commenting on when he was playing at their house, my son had reprimanded his little playmate and said ,”why aren’t you vacuuming and helping your mommy.”

    I have no idea how to get that marker off the chair, but I do have an idea - You could let all the kids draw on it, until it's covered, and looks somewhat intentional. Maybe tape off the edging, if it wasn't damaged, so that all the marker remains just on the seat part.

    Try hand sanitizer to get it off or coloring over it with a black whiteboard marker. Both these methods work for several things

    Lovely watching your kids so happy. Alcohol removes permanent marker. Keeping in mind, the more porous, the harder to remove, but totally impossible. Best wishes! Blessings from Minnesota!

    Hi Sonya! Your children are so sweet🥰 I know that these days we don't have a lot of hand sanitizer to spare, but I use it to remove Sharpie marker from almost anything! Lol

      It's the alcohol in hand sanitizer that removes marker stains, so just get a bottle of alcohol for that purpose. It's a lot cheaper than hand sanitizer.

    Try dabbing some turpentine onto cotton or even on some toilet paper and see how you go cleaning the permanent marker scribble - it will work on most surfaces but do it with care , test first . Smell is not really pleasant but you can tolerate better than buy new furniture and also must be careful around open flame as is extremly flammable . I had similar problems and it worked v well , methylated spirit may work too but turpentine is any paint solvent and works best . Pity you already used some cleaners as this may have stabilise even further the marker scribble .

    Brake cleaner takes of permanent marker, but it will melt plastic. Aerosol hairspray works too, but not as well as brake cleaner.

    Two phase makeup remover gets that off of humans. The type you need to shake to mix before using. Also, so does rubbing alcohol, on some surfaces. I would try a spot test with both and see if one works. Good luck!

    Acetone is best, but may be too strong for the vinyl. Paint thinner (Maybe even nail polish remover?) Might be a better choice. Just put some on a paper towel and rub off, following with a damp, soapy sponge. Use rubber gloves and take it outside to do it. Thank you for all you do. You are beautiful.

    Easy trick to get the "OLDER CHILDREN" to do tasks: UNPLUG the WIFI Router/ Modem. No yelling or Discipline required. I took the WIFI Router to work, when my 6'3" son would not clean his room. Got emergency call at work...he said the internet is NOT WORKING. I asked "is your room clean yet?" It was clean by the time I got home. Very humbling!

      Welcome!! The hats are from a local hat store near me but there are same ones on amazon. i dont do anything special to keep them from slipping. They arent made from slippery fabric so i guess that helps.

I have 3 with 1 on the way and I feel like things would be a lot smoother and less strenuous if discipline the kids better somehow so they would go along with my routine with less resistance. Any tips would be so appreciated! Time out? G-d bless you and your family.

      Ive heard the best thing is being consistent. Picking one thing you’ll not budge on. They’ll learn before too long that you mean what you say, and be much better followers. Also having a way to punish so they learn it’s better to obey right away. Congrats on your new little addition!
