- Family summer morning routine. Going to be getting a lot done today as I am usually working full time in the summer. Ill be taking advantage of these few days off and being productive. Will be getting the kids ready in the morning, doing our regular morning routine, giving them breakfast, taking them to summer camp , tidying up the house and squeezing in a little selfcare as well. Hope you enjoy this summer day in my life. Now lets get prepping!

I am not of the Jewish faith but grew up with it surrounding my life. When I saw you saying your morning prayer a peace came over me. I too say the prayers and creed of my faith in the morning. Summer routines always feel lighter. It always seems to have less dirt and heavy cleaning to be done. Maybe just the longer brighter days make it feel that way.

We drink a lot of sweet tea in the south but ours is iced.:) As a child, my mother would put a bit of coffee in our morning milk. She served it in a coffee cup so we thought we were drinking coffee. No wonder I still love a good cup of coffee.

@@SonyasPrep I tried this myself and the coffee doesn't get watered down and is cooler longer. 😎 Summer time we momies need it .You know I make your bagels recipe 2 twice a week for my family, I don't buy bread anymore. I'm waiting on a sourdough starter kit to start making it too.

And that coffee!😍 Looked absolutely amazing! Have you tried putting cocoa powder in it and mixing that up to make a mocha? I am not a fan of coffee (I wish I was because it smells so good), but if I had my coffee the way you made it, I am pretty sure I will like it! ☺ I am a tea person - chai prefferably (heavy on the spices).
I'm from the deep south of Georgia, so we are all sweet tea drinkers, but ours is iced tea. Not many down here drink hot tea, though I do love a variety of loose and bagged hot teas. Most drink coffee as a hot drink with breakfast, otherwise we are milk, OJ or other fruit juice for breakfast though many now drink soda (we call all sodas coke) down here. I recently went to a convention in Atlanta and found them serving unsweetened ice tea for lunch at our lux hotel. This was a shocker for our group from Georgia as most believe tea should only be served sweet and iced. Thank you for sharing your culture with us.
