Let me explain something to you and I didn't want to hear it and I know that you are not going to but, in my 40+ years of doing it I will say that if you learned from the mistake or lack of inspection your time was well spent and not wasted. Now if you didn't learn anything from this then you did waste the time. I believe that you learned from it and will not make it a second time.
