These are great musical speakers in small packages; any worry about bass can be addressed with optional subs, and I agree if you really care about it have four speakers and subs then you won’t have any issues-That combo would actually sound better, more enveloping, a different and intriguing option compared to a couple of larger conventional speakers

Great comment and good points! The rooms I mainly play range from retirement homes to medium sized rooms so people upfront can enjoy it and even dance, but the tables at the back still enjoy but can still have a conversation. I never play any gigs that require me to blast people’s face off. Lol. But like you said, add a sub and your right, they become even more monstrous sound for more demanding environments/or bass heavy music.

@@TheSonicSpectrum sometimes it’s not clearly mentioned, but let’s be honest. These in stereo sound a hell of a lot more musical than the standard PA speakers..smoother as u say. And with four speakers, you’re in quadraphonic heaven! Only a small minority experiment with four speakers, which sounds incredible. And you’re not killing your middle age back lifting these, and you can have wireless! Using these, your music is gonna sound as good as it could possibly sound

Did a gig today, the tracks sounded great and nice and loud and punchy. However, the sound of the mic, Shure SM58 wasn't. I couldn't get the sound loud enough. I had it turned up to about 10 past 12, which really should be loud enough. However, I had to hold the mic fairly close to my mouth which I hate and it just wasn't loud enough. I was frightened to turn it up too much for fear of it feeding back. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I want to be wireless, so don't want sound desks or wires. I am using the Bose transmitter.

Hey glad to hear you got to try them both out at a gig. Unfortunately, the preamps plugging a mic directly into the speaker the volume needs to be at 1-3pm on the dial to get good volume, this is normal for the Bose S1 Pro+. The original S1 Pro+ you had to take it to almost full volume to get that sound high enough. So they made an improvement on the Pro+ versions.
Try turning the volume up to 1 or 2 o clock on the dial. Don't be afraid, its normal.
Another idea is to change your mic to the Beta 58A, its a "hotter" mic, so you may get naturally more volume from it, but on "some" voice can be harsher, but still a great mic. I will work on some mic comparisons on my channel, since i have the beta 58A too.

      Hey,
Sorry I haven’t tried that. I mainly use these with an external mixer (Allen + Heath mixer)
