Your color choices and your knitting instinct is SO fantastic. Thanks for sharing and continuing to share with us. I recall a time you were a bit ambivalent about continuing to make videos for us. So happy you have remained ♥️
I love the way the rust orange and blue held together turned out! It's such a beautiful color. I love the orange and blue sweater too. So many beautiful finished objects in this one. Well done!
Thank you for your kind mention dear Megha. Also the poncho idea sounds amazing. I'm going to DM you the photo of something similar (I had it in my Pinterest for ages). Ivana ❤
What an enjoyable episode. And here I am sitting wearing a Tolsta Tee, working on my Alder Test knit while I watch you!🤣 Those pinks are gorgeous, and I’m very excited to see all your plans turn into FOs.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful knits and plans. I’m so busy these last 2 weeks have not knit… seriously this is not me. Taking this time to watch you and knit on a mitten… Life happens and I see an end to the busy work.
You crack me up with your threats, Megha! Wonderful knits, as usual, and great future plans- and so ambitious. I just finished the Pure Joy shawl by Joji, a baby hoodie and boots by me, and heel toe dosy doe socks by the Crazy sock Lady. I cast on DK alpaca socks while watching your episode for my ex’s birthday as his feet are always cold due to Neuropathy. My next cast ons will be Flax sweaters for my two youngest grandkids in Gauge Yarn’s dyed specifically for this sweater pattern with a self striping yoke that moves into a solid colour for the rest of the sweater. I made this sweater already when Emiko was a baby and my daughter says it is her favourite sweater I have made (and I have made a LOT of baby sweaters. I need to crack on before Emi and Tadaaki grow too big for the yarn. Lol! Happy poncho knitting- reminds me of one of my first adult projects when I was a teenager, done with broom stick knitting with that terrible PHENTEX yarn that was all the rage back then. Lol!
Hahaha thank you for the lovely message, Jennifer! Wow I love your knitting plans! I have a few skeins from gauge dye works and have been thinking of making socks with them sometime soon. The kid sweaters with the rainbow yarn are so stunning!
Megha. The color work sweater is stunning. The fit is beautiful and I want to make one. Your determination is contagious and the designer is inspiring. I wish i was going to New York. I look forward to meeting you one day at a festival. I hope you really enjoy your friends and your knitting 🧶 in New York and you podcast recap is sure to be entertaining. Also, your acquisitions are sure to be amazing. Be well.
An amazing video! You are making so many beautiful items! I feel your excitement with all you are and want to knit. I love your use of all the bright colors too. They look so pretty on you. I know you’ll knit everything you’re planning. 😊
Hello Megha! I love watching your podcast SO Much! I recently started my own podcast, and when I did, I imagined how you are in front of the camera and hoped I could be as natural and engaging as you are. I Love bright colours too, so I always gasp in happiness when you show your yarn choices for your current and future knits. I have managed to amass quite the Qing Fibre melted baby suri stash, and I am always wondering what projects to use them for. I try to knit patterns by designers that aren't as well known so I don't think I'll go for the pink velvet, but I have knit colour work using the melted baby suri base before - i think it was the Boscular pullover by Marina Skua - and I really loved how that base blooms and pops in a colour work jumper. that bright red colour is incredible!! So inspiring! I am test knitting for Lavanya Patricella at the moment - a really fun DK brioche jumper knit side to side - and I am looking forward to casting on for west knits mkal, as well as the Cherry on Top Poncho by @meretekdesigns . Sending you lots of love from my home in Bristol, UK to yours. X Ros X
Love your idea of making a poncho using raglan shaping - brilliant! so much you can do with a raglan - I’m a bit obsessed 😜. Great podcast as always! Thank you!!!❤
Lovely episode and beautiful knits. As always. I laughed when you talked about fingerless mittens. I am knitting exactly that in my favourite pattern which is the Purl Soho watch cap mittens (free pattern and awesome). I’ve made so many that I have memorised the pattern so perfect for travel knitting.
I am curious about and I look forward to see how you engineer you thoughts on your poncho idea. I love a poncho! They are so comfy and your hands are free for things like knitting. Take good care.
Beautiful work as always. Look be your Maine mittens. The bfl yarn is such a gorgeous color, I would vote for taking that for your future turtleneck. Right now I’m knitting on a testknit as well, cardigan in linen stitch. But I bought some really nice alpaca yarn to make the birch sweater, in between I’m knitting on socks for the green socks and cancer action that is going on here in Germany. And as this is not enough wips, I’m knitting on washcloths for Christmas.
I force myself to do 2 rows a day on big projects weather permitting. I have a heavy crochet mosaic blanket that I cannot work on until it is a bit chilly in my house! But it helps me to get through the projects that otherwise would sit in time out for too long. Thanks for sharing your vacay with us, Maine is beautiful!!
Between you and Rebecca I'm really starting to love the red and purple color combo! 😍 Really enjoyed this episode! I started off knitting on my Semper sweater while watching and then decided to gauge swatch for the Home cardigan by Caidree 🥰 Thanks for keeping me company while I knit!
your projects are all so beautiful i also want to start a tolsta tee but im testing a couple sweaters so concentrating on those lol talk soon take care
Sooo much inspiration here! I love how you have created a fab new colour by pairing the two yarns for your Ranunculous. I did something similar with my Lento and it’s sooo satisfying to see something new and exciting unfolding under your eyes, isn’t it?! xx
Megha!!! Great video!! I love how your Ranunculus turned out! Adding that blue mohair changed it up so beautifully 😍 Love the Plus Sweater and hope the duplicate stitch gives you the effect you want 🙏🏿 We have similar body shapes and I haven't been adding waist shaping. Would love to hear how you approach adding the shaping when it's not included in the pattern! Love that Wandering Flock yarn 😍😍😍
Take a look at the Goldfish Memories shawl by Casapinka. It is super long. It is a rectangle knit on the bias so you never have too many stitches on the needles. And on top of that she changes stitch patterns regularly, so just like a goldfish you never get bored!
I have watched you from the beginning…we have the same color palette..however, I would love to know where you find such beautiful yarn…my word!! I just marvel at your cabinet behind you. I find myself picking out my favorites lol. On this show… that hot pink mix, the Ranunculus combo..WOW. I’ve purchased many of the patterns you display on your episodes. Thank you for bringing us all of your ideas, creativity, enthusiasm and amazing creations…you elevate it to a true art form.
You may want to base your poncho on The Comfort Zone pattern by Melissa Clulow (one of the owners of Sonder Yarn Co). I've made it multiple times - revising the gauge to suit my yarn. It's has twisted ribbing and it's just a raglan that keeps going till you knit straight. You could modify it by creating slits for the arms instead of doing a split "hem", which is what the pattern recommends.
Beautiful knits! I love your idea with the holst. I am knitting an Ingrid sweater in a rustic wool and it is so tough on my hands. I have the body done so I will suffer thru the sleeves but next time! Check out the podcast a friend to knit with. She has a great caplet project. It is perfect! I am goi g to make one very soon. Last couple of years it has been too warm for me to wear the knits I brought with me!
You have really interesting color combinations. BTW your Pluses sweater looks really good on you ! And no need to apologize about landscaping noises - I think they are louder for you than the viewer.
Love your pink Tolsta tee! I have a suggestion for a Poncho pattern.. have you seen the Post by Julie Hoover? the gals on the Kitting Posse podcast raved about during the Julie Hoover KAL.. It has a very classic look to it.
Thanks for your feedback on the Plusses sweater, I sometimes have certain questions regarding colorwork motifs in raglans myself, was usefull to see your work in detail! Ps. Were there more kitties in the video you dissmissed or in this one? 😹 They are so adorable, glad they made an appearance 😻
Hahaha they were definitely more active in this video! They are not allowed in the craft room without me, so they get very excited when I open the door 😂
interesting, how would you compare knitted vs crocheted baby blanket from the end-users point of view? weight per surface, warmth, drapery, breathability...
Yes, I too enjoy your podcast so much. I'm sitting here knitting on a girl's dress design I've had in my mind for ages, too. I'm making it for the #merriminimal23 challenge that @forthefunofknitt is doing. Your poncho sounds really great. 🧶
The Plus sweater looks beautiful on you. I hope you will wear it with joy and forget all the details that bug you. Lovely podcast, thank you.
Your color choices and your knitting instinct is SO fantastic. Thanks for sharing and continuing to share with us. I recall a time you were a bit ambivalent about continuing to make videos for us. So happy you have remained ♥️
I think I am trying to find a happy pace and not get bogged down by the algorithm and the metrics

Oooh thank you for that suggestion!!
Thank you for a lovely podcast. I´m knitting on a pair of socks right now. I´m also testknitting for a Swedish designer.
Love from Ann
Thank you for an inspiring podcast. Like you I revel in many projects. Actually, sometimes it is dangerous watching your spin your ideas!

I definitely need to pull out that shawl and knit even a row per day or something!
Beautiful knits!!
Megha - so many pretty knits. Your fearless color combination always turns out great.

"If you give me time, I will talk about these things forever." Don't you threaten me with a good time!!! lmao
Hahahaha ❤️❤️❤️
I finally have the yarn for my Tolsta, too! I figure I won't have it done until next summer so it's all good!!
I love the image you painted about the poncho! I can totally imagine it and can’t wait to actually see it. ❤🤩
Hehe I am so so eager to cast on! I might actually do it this weekend 😂

Have you seen the Friend to Friend free pattern for a cape Megha? That’s a bulky weight project too xx

Your Plusses sweater is out of this world. Do you know when the pattern will drop?
September 26 :)
Hello from Mounds, Illinois.
❤️
Beautiful knits! I love your idea with the holst. I am knitting an Ingrid sweater in a rustic wool and it is so tough on my hands. I have the body done so I will suffer thru the sleeves but next time!
Check out the podcast a friend to knit with. She has a great caplet project. It is perfect! I am goi g to make one very soon.

Oh thank you!
"Flash my floats" 🎉
Love your pink Tolsta tee! I have a suggestion for a Poncho pattern.. have you seen the Post by Julie Hoover? the gals on the Kitting Posse podcast raved about during the Julie Hoover KAL.. It has a very classic look to it.
Thank you!!! I will look into this ❤️
Megha ты супер вязальщица🍁👍
Thank you ❤️❤️

Could you do duplicate stitch to fill in the gaps on the sleeves?
Yess! I think I will definitely do that on the sleeves ☺️
There is a pattern on Ravelry for Hermiones everyday Mitts. I think it’s free. I made a pair a couple years ago
Yep! I love that pattern! I want to use that stitch pattern for fingerless mitts ☺️
Have a look at the Noncho by Casapinka for a poncho.
Yes, I too enjoy your podcast so much. I'm sitting here knitting on a girl's dress design I've had in my mind for ages, too. I'm making it for the #merriminimal23 challenge that @forthefunofknitt is doing. Your poncho sounds really great. 🧶
