Loved seeing your knitting plans and your list of designers. My bestie and I are planning a knitting retreat to Scotland in 2024, so must knit all the Scottish designers. 🤗
Oh my!!! Your husbands sweater is outstanding!!! It’s actually a sweater my husband would wear. Also the color is just so spot on - thank you for all your sharing and the information you provide us. Also Happy 2024 to you. ♥️♥️♥️
This was one of the BEST episodes. I loved every designer and the designers. Everything you knit is stunning and I just finished your wrap up episode and I am glad I went back for this. I think if you did a Vlog as about your culture , it would be so interesting. I loved when you last visited your home. Also a vlog type series when you mom next visits. I giggle when you look startled about grammar, as you speak so grammatically correct. Have safe travels and thank you so much for your time entertaining us ❤❤
It was lovely seeing all your FO's, and funny to see how many on your list are high up in my Ravelry queue. I share your ¿obsession? with all the jumpers (sweaters) in Only Murders... she wears them with such panache! May I suggest SusannaIC (on Ravelry) and her fabulous designs? She had designed some of the most glorious lace shawls I have ever seen; she has filled my library & queue with so many jumpers & cardigans - I'll need to live to be 100 to knit them all. Susanna's patterns are beautiful, but equally important is that her patterns are SO well written, so concise and technically/mathematically perfect that I can just follow them without needing to worry about "what does she mean here?" or "this doesn't make sense." I quite happily recommend her patterns to my beginning knitters because I know I can just instruct them on techniques without needing to fix (or swear about) the pattern leading them astray. She has several beautiful free patterns in her Ravelry collection, which gives folks a chance to "test drive" her patterns and see how relaxing they are to knit.
Very inspiring episode Megan! I love all the designer you mentioned and can't wait what beautiful things you will be making> I am wishing you a fantastic 2024xxx
Hi Megha: So many gorgeous designs so little time. Knitting is the one thing I don’t plan for. Just go with whatever inspires me at the moment. For New Years Day I cast on the Elton pullover. I’m loving it so far. Looking forward to seeing your dream 2024 knits!
Thanks for the list. I've added a couple of the patterns to my faves in Ravelry - designers I had not seen before. In 2024, I am knitting 2 Sketch Coats by Norah Gaughan - for my mom and my MIL. I have one in red, and now they both want one! I'm finishing a raglan pullover for my son. I used a plain pattern, but added a twisted stitch detail on the front from one of my stitch dictionaries. I also have two Joji cardigans on my needles - Cloud Peak and All the Lights. I'm already pretty committed! LOL!
I would love the idea of knitting podcasters from different backgrounds doing a version of “vlogmas” that reflects their cultural traditions. I love watching vlogmas from different podcasters who celebrate a combination of Christmas or Yule. Love your idea of a craft-ober or craft-ember! 😊
I’m drooling over all of your designer and pattern choices for the new year, Megha!!! 😍 Maybe we can do an Irene Lin KAL, I’ve been looking at her patterns for years now and just can’t get my act together 😂
Your quilt is lovely! I love your list of designers, I just looked through my own list of designers and patterns on ravelry earlier today . I will focus on sweaters for my adult sons this year, and my adult grandson. It is not easy to knit for someone else when they are far away from me. I really want to do this for them. I am not getting younger. I see my friends having issues that inhibit their ability to knit. I also have a quilt in the works for my granddaughter. 😂
Great insights. Thanks for sharing. I would love to see some Vlogmas’ done January, February and March. Those months are so cold and dreary. Even if they were done weekly say on a Sunday etc. On one of my FB gardening sites a painter posted that she is painting pictures of flowers. So I’m busily knitting the Secret Garden sweater 😊 That should get me to spring 😊
Hi Megha! Love all your knitting plans - I definitely agree about wanting to do more of Beth Macdonald Stone's patterns - I just finished my test knit of the Rhumb Line Sweater (that's the design you showed with the 1x1 colourwork) and I'm also testing the Deepdene Pullover - I think that's the textured one you saw at the yarn festivals that she was wearing... And yes I also agree about that Saari Cardigan in the Knitted Kalevala (and I too want to knit everything in that book!!) - I actually started that earlier this year after buying the book, so I need to get back on that. Enjoy your New Year's celebrations, and have fun with your knits. Cheers, Judith 💜
Hi Megha, I have a few ideas for other Japanese designers I think you would like. Some that I have tried include Eri Shimuzu and (Eritml), Rievive. So many more, but these are my favorites that have many patterns in Engligh. And, of course, Midori Hirose. Have fun in 2024!
Thank you Megha for doing this podcast that has introduced so many designers that I had not heard of before. The designs are inspirations for the upcoming year. Without your time and consideration to your content I would miss out on so many creative designs and designers. ❤
I have to admit, I have only heard of about half of the designers you talked about. I am still a bit fearful of colorwork so that may explain it. But Natasha Hornby is definitely on my list of designers to knit. Her shawls are so stunning. They are a big commitment, but I am still putting one of her designs in my upcoming patterns. Thank you for sharing so much of all you do. I wish you a happy new year as well. I look forward to seeing your finished baby quilt, ( although it looks rather large or an actual "baby quilt, I imagined something of a size to fit over a stroller, that looks like a twin bed size). I also look forward to lots of photos of India, and of course all the designs you finish in 2024. Safe travels.
Im with you on Irene Lin! I bought the Ramble sweater pattern when it came out and haven’t knitted it yet. I also have had the Rota too in my Ravelry cart since August, lol. I’m going to wait until spring to purchase that one. I also have the Lana vest and still haven’t knit it.
Of course the Donnie sweater is fabulous. I have many of your patterns on my wish list. I have just finished the shophouse tee…I could make a better one now there are so many details that requires a lot of attention to and it is made with a very tiny yarn…it does look good . I now need to clean it up and strings and correct some loose stitches. Not error free but it is ok. Good luck with projects always a pleasure to see your work.
Your husband’s sweater is great! ❤I liked seeing new designers and projects you want to make! The quilt for your nephew is adorable. It will be so much fun to see his reaction ❤. Happy New Year!!!
You have talked about many patterns I have on my list. I was so pleased to see Jennifer Beale on your list. Her patterns are so intriguing. It is so distracting every time I see a new pattern. I like your idea of choosing different designers
Hi Megha, happy new year! 🥳 we have a lot of over cross patterns on my wish list, two designers to check out I think you would like are soop knits, Korean, and pope knits, Argentina? Not sure. I want to knit something from them too. Good luck Getting some done in 2024!
I love the colour of your Anker sweater. I just finished four children size for my grandkids. I loved making them and was thinking of one for myself. You may have convinced me. I also am inspired again with your aspirational knits. Thank you
Ok absolutely would love a blog month from you!! I am excited to try the pantone color of the year inspired by the gorgeous Billie cardigan by chitaw (project on rav). I have never knit a cabled cardi or pullover and im excited to try a Sari Nordlund pattern! Have you seen anything by Susanne Muller? I am about to start her Cara hat. I am also going to try knitting 10 pairs of socks in 2024! Happy New Year🎉! Hopefully its more peaceful worldwide❤
Gudrun Johnston is one of my all time favorite designers. I’m knitting my second Audrey in Unst for a friend right now and I’ve knit about five of her Porty Pullovers. I have hers and MJ Mucklestone’s new book and there are several items I’d like to knit. Thea Coleman is another designer I’d love to try as well as Elizabeth Dougherty. Her Sian pullover is one of the next sweaters I’d like to knit. Ankestrik is another one I’d like to try. Isabelle Kraemer is another favorite and I’ve already knit a few of her patterns. I would like to start knitting more lacey patterns as I now like in a warmer area (San Diego)-so need to get away from lots of my heavier woolens. Going to favorite your list as it’s a good one! Thanks
So many beautiful options to consider for next year. To add to the list: Cocoknits patterns that use Julie’s top-down construction method. I am currently knitting the Jesse cabled pullover and it is a lovely pattern. I did Ruth first, which is plain stockinette and a great introduction to the method without needing to also worry about cables.
Happy New Year! I had so much fun discovering some of the patterns I had not seen before - thank you for sharing! Oh and best regards to your orange helper, taking care of your fireplace
Thank you Megha! Love to see all your knits - the Downey for Baljeet is fabulous! My husband just asked for something similar so I’ll definitely show that design to him as an option. gorgeous! Loved your list of knitwear designers currently on your radar - what an honor to be included! We have a lot of crossover there for sure - so many you listed are on my list too. So much talent to follow!!! Thanks again & wishing you and your family all the very best for 2024 ❤
The Dornie looks amazing on your husband! Take a look at Carol Fellers’ designs. I think you’d like her as well. I’ve knit a lot of her patterns and they are so well written. One of my goals this year is to ‘design’ my own Gansey and knit it. I’ve started the design process in the sense that I’ve brought the two books I’ll be using over to my knitting chair….. great episode as always!
What a great intention for 2024. I have so many books and patterns and really need to get creative and move out of my 'designer comfort zone' *a-hem* Caitlin Hunter. I have the yarn for Vair, and a friend on Instagram bought me the pattern, but it's bottom up which freaks me out! But I can do scary things. You have inspired me Megha! Designers that I am wanting to try: Audrey Borrego and also garments by Ysolda Teague. I look forward to seeing your beautiful makes in 2024. You are so talented. :) That is exciting to hear about your upcoming trip to India.
Thanks so much for your inspiration. I’m with you 💯 on the Elton, Cathedral and Saari. If you ever feel inspired I’d love to see an assessment of previous knits from your 2022 wrap up (or previous) it is always so interesting to see which knits get worn most, which fit best, yarns that wear well etc
Thanks for another great episode! I love the list of sweaters you're planning for 2024 also. That's what I have been thinking about - sweater patterns and which yarn to use. But first, I have been cleaning up from holiday knitting. Happy New Year and lots of happy knitting for you! See you in 2024! 🙋🏽♀🧶💜
Love your show! First time watcher. I've been wanting to knit a tunic length sweater . . . . now you've made me want to knit the Oban in a tunic length. I'm knitting my first Thea Colman pattern right now, the Smokeshow and loving it. I haven't knit worsted weight in a long, long time, but I'm loving it. Look forward to seeing your 2024 knits. Thank you 🥰
Amazing collection of designers to aspire towards. I am starting my Neurology residency and I would be traveling in the metro. So I am making plans for projects that I can knit on the transit times. As I don't think I will get any more knitting time otherwise in the day. By the way, Mr. Skeinsofdreams' sweater is marvellous. Wish you a very happy and healthy year ahead. Love from Bangalore 😊
After finishing my Christmas knitting, I finished my Garter Squish Blanket blanket by Stephen West and am currently trying to finish up a neglected shawl WIP. Like you I’m trying to go to clear the needles for new year knitting. And likewise just finished up a child’s quilt and a table runner! Happy new Year. Thanks for sharing with us ❤️
Apart from your beautiful knitting and ambitious and interesting knitting plans, I have to say that I love your self-deprecating sense of humour, Megha 😅😍 Happy New Year to you! Have a wonderful trip to India in January (I spent two months there many years ago!) 💞
Happy New Year Helle ❤️❤️❤️ thank you for your kind words! I practice yoga too and when you said you teach yoga, I wondered if you have been to India! ☺️☺️
Gorgeous Dorney! I like your list of projects. I’ve just finished the Achikochi sweater by Eri Shimizu and I love it and recommend it. Happy new year to you and thank you for all the entertaining episodes this year.
Thank you for this another very inspiring video. I'm currently working on the moby sweater by petiteknit and I have soooo amazing patterns I would like to knit next year. My only issue is that I don't have a lot of time during the week to knit. I change my job and and have less time in the train so I knit mainly the weekend. So I get frustrated by all the things I want to do and the few time I have. Will try to see how I can improve my schedule next year to make more place for what makes me feel happy! Wish you a happy new year! ❤🎉
Excellent episode! Didn’t feel rushed at all. The sweater you made for your husband is superb! Loved your list of designers! Several are on my 2024 list as well. I have several 2024 knitting aspirations which include patterns, colors and new techniques. The following designers are high on my 2024 list: The Petite Knitter, Sari Nordlund, Ozetta, My Favorite Things and Ana Fiskum Sunde. Happy New Year and I look forward to following your wonderful channel!
Let us know how you change the pattern for your sweaters. I’m just learning and make them too big. I use my bust size then the whole sweater is too big. 🤷🏻♀️
Happy new year to you and your loved ones, too. I just came back from India myself having attended my nephew’s wedding. A once in a lifetime experience, colorful, loud (🔔📣💥)and a lot of fun. I must say, you Indians really know how to celebrate. So I wish you a lot of fun for your travel to India. I like the idea of trying out new to me designers, think I will pick up your idea and try it myself.
I love the color of your Dornie! I have knit a bunch of Gudrun's and MJ's patterns. I actually went on the Grand Shetland Adventure with them in 2022. It was awesome! I want to knit the Vair by Gudrun, and MJs new Island To Island vest. Another favorite designer of mine is Kate Davies.
Megha, you really-really-really need to stop Instagraming because that is what pulls you away from your fabulous designers. I like Yamagara designs a lot because they are different and intriguing construction. I see a lot of colourwork and texture in your future. Your Dorney model looks very happy and proud of his jumper. Yay to you!! Happy new Year to you and Family
Loved seeing your knitting plans and your list of designers. My bestie and I are planning a knitting retreat to Scotland in 2024, so must knit all the Scottish designers. 🤗

Haha thank you so so much for the lovely message Sheri ❤️❤️ I will definitely think about the vlog idea!

Love your husband’s sweater! He’s handsome 🤣 you grumpy? Can’t believe that!
Hahaha 😄😄
I really enjoyed learning all the designers you want to knit. I don't know most of them. Excuse me while I go down a Ravelry rabbit hole now.
Nice photo of hubby.
Your husband looks fantastic in his new sweater. Handsome man, beautiful couple you must make.
Thank you so much!
Very inspiring episode Megan! I love all the designer you mentioned and can't wait what beautiful things you will be making> I am wishing you a fantastic 2024xxx

Yay! Thank you!

❤️❤️❤️ we definitely need an Irene Lin and Thea Colman kal for our Vermont purchases too 😂

You seem to love cables, as do I! I really want to knit the Alana sweater by Sarah Hutton. Lovely knitting projects!! Thank you.
Sorry…Sarah Hatton
Gorgeous sweater for your husband and such a fun quilt! Many of the designers you picked are on my list, too! Thanks for the reminder and inspiration!
Thank you Megha for doing this podcast that has introduced so many designers that I had not heard of before.
The designs are inspirations for the upcoming year. Without your time and consideration to your content I would miss out on so many creative designs and designers. ❤
I’m doing the same one for my hubbie in patons classic worsted
I have to admit, I have only heard of about half of the designers you talked about. I am still a bit fearful of colorwork so that may explain it. Hahah I made the quilt almost twin size as I want him to be able to use it for a long while!! I always think big 😂
The sweater you made for your hubby is stunning!!!!! And your Anker sweater is looking so lovely.
Thank you ☺️
Im with you on Irene Lin! I bought the Ramble sweater pattern when it came out and haven’t knitted it yet. I also have had the Rota too in my Ravelry cart since August, lol. I’m going to wait until spring to purchase that one. I also have the Lana vest and still haven’t knit it.
My 2024 knitting plans are about slipcovers and vests. That’s the plan However as a knitter with a lot of choices one can go astray
17:09 that’s super cool she includes that in her patterns
I would love it if you would do a Vlog about one of the holidays celebrated in India, when that holiday is happening.
That’s a great idea!!
That was very generous of you to knit all of the gift knits for your neighbors! The Dornie is breathtaking. You chose an amazing color.
Thank you ☺️
Happy New Year Megha! I liked the pace, you did good!
Omg that Donnie Sweater is amazing
Hi Megha, happy new year! 🥳 we have a lot of over cross patterns on my wish list, two designers to check out I think you would like are soop knits, Korean, and pope knits, Argentina? Not sure. I want to knit something from them too. Good luck Getting some done in 2024!
Appreciate your knits, gift knits and your plans for 2024😊.
Love your quilt. Your nephew will be delighted and it’s a lovely heirloom. Happy New Year. Wish I was going to India! X
36:51 I think you influenced me 😂
Hahaha okay I am loving the live updates ❤️❤️❤️😘 also that’s not true 😂 you are definitely the source hahahaha
I need to draft a şist. Otherwise I’d be totally got lost in all the lovely patterns😮
I have a link to a Ravelry bundle I created! It’s in the description ☺️
Hello from St. Louis Missouri!
Happy Crafting ❤!!
Thanks for the bundle! There is so many of these i want to make too! The starry starry night and the kismet are on the top of my list!

That was super fun!! It’s making me question my goals 😂
Hahaha ❤️❤️
So many beautiful options to consider for next year. To add to the list: Cocoknits patterns that use Julie’s top-down construction method. I am currently knitting the Jesse cabled pullover and it is a lovely pattern. I did Ruth first, which is plain stockinette and a great introduction to the method without needing to also worry about cables.
The Dornie is stunning and I love the colors of your anthology throw. Wishing you, your husband, and the cats a restful holiday break.
Your projects are beautiful! Thank you for sharing your work and plans.
Such beautiful knitting on the Dornie sweater!
Happy New Year! I had so much fun discovering some of the patterns I had not seen before - thank you for sharing! Oh and best regards to your orange helper, taking care of your fireplace
I’ve been drooling over Thea Colman’s designs for years! My LYS’s kal this summer is the motivation I need to dig into those lovely cables
Same here!!!
Happy New Year!
Happy New Year ❤️
What a fun and inspiring episode. I’m scared to look at my Ravelry Library and Favorites…😂😂😂

I really enjoy your podcast :)@@skeinsofdreamsknits
Thank you Megha for a wonderfull year of inspirations ❤ I hope the New Year will bring a lot more 😊
Thank you for this another very inspiring video.
Oooh I need to look up Ana Fiskum!
Your Dornie sweater is beautiful! You’ve inspired me to knit at least one project from the books I own. Happy New Year!
5:can’t handle the gorgeousness
Hahahaha ❤️❤️❤️
