You are such a delightful person, I always enjoy your videos! You've got lots of wonderful projects, I can see why you'd want to finish them. I'm always impressed with the colors you choose to knit with, the colorful yarns fit your personality!
I was totally all in for the drama!! You have some incredible WIPS and will be the best dressed at Rhinebeck without a doubt. Thanks for keeping me company. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire episode. Byeeee
I’m a very out of site out of mind person😃 So I try to hang up my projects on a display peg board so I can see them and get excited about them daily🎉. It is easier to prioritize them that way too🧶👍🏻🌸. It makes me feel more organized seeing the beauty of each one individually 👍🏻. I get excited seeing my weekly progress🎉. 💖love your podcasts!
Wow! That was fun! So great to see all of your various color combinations. All so pretty and inspiring and stunning and the patterns too. Thanks Megha - happy knitting!!!
Your Frog or Finish projects - the yarns are all beautiful - the best colors ever! I love the Sari Nordlund colorwork and the Pink Velvet colors so much! You made the right decisions today! I have been working on my WIPS this year, but I stopped to knit hats for Christmas gifts. But back to you, this podcast episode was just adorable, thank you.
I loved this video. Your WIPs are all beautiful and I am so glad you kept most of them. So many of them are so close to finished. I feel, if yiy focussed on finishing the ones that are nearly done, you could have the number you have as WIPs in a really short time, and then the others can be done at your leisure. You've got this. Happy knitting.
Hi. I like your knits. I think you are a very talented knitter. I enjoy knitting also. I have been knitting for four years, and I knit every day. I am finishing tomorrow a beautiful scarf in sections of dark brown and oatmeal wool for an acquaintance who work at the 911 emergency number who has been very friendly to me, and it came out wonderful. I am proud of my work on it. It is very warm for him for the winter. Take Care. 😃
Through your whole first part, with wips, craft room talk, buying more needles... I swore we could be the same person!!! Haha! 😂 Beautiful makes coming along. You definitely have clear colour preferences. I await seeing you wearing the finished pieces. Eventually. One day. Soon'ish 🤭
So beautiful WIPs ... i think you will finished them one day. I have not a lot of WIPS, maybe 3 or 4. But it is not so important to me. When it start to make ne feel bad i will get one and finish or frog it. At the end there will be a nice piece, made with fun, love and beloved yarn. There ia no place for pressure and negativ thoughts in our beautiful hobby. You did a great Job, thank you so much for the time you gift to us. Greetings from Germany , Maria ❤
Nice to see your eyes. No more glare. Prefer contacts please. Love that you shared your unfinished or WIPs . You are so right with regards to craft room with projects not visible. I feel the same way, so have a basket next to my couch with multiple WIPs. Now not sure what to finish, vests, socks, must start and finish socks for Christmas gifts. But the weather is so nice…. Not suitable for knitting. Love love love your podcast, never get bored listening to you. Love your projects finished or unfinished. Thank you for sharing. Hope to meet you in person one day. ❤
Love the pink theme you have going on for Rhinebeck. We all have a pile of wips that we love but good for you that you examined your projects. I probably should do that as well but I know they will wait for me. Since you mentioned Rhinebeck I wanted to let you know that Pick Up Every Stitch has the Road to Rhinebeck event In Mt. Kisco again this year on the Thursday and Friday before NY Sheep and Wool. Camellia Fiber Co will be there for a trunk show and their yarns are just delicious. Hope you will join us and hope I'll see you in one of these finished WIPS!
Hey Megha, love your WIP/frog it episode. I have a sweater cardigan that only needs the two side/sleeve seams mattress stitched and it has been languishing for a number of years. Thanks for the reminder to get it out and finish for the upcoming sweater season. Also next time you are in Colorado and need to have some fun let me know. I’d love to get together and enjoy a meal…with knitting of course! 🧶 I’m in the Denver metro area and am happy to travel a bit for some knitting.
Sooo much inspiration in this video! I absolutely LOVE the colours in your Apoplystra and am so glad you decided to keep working on it 😍 Added a tonne of patterns to my ravelry faves because of you! 🙈💕
I love watching your wips and projects. I am not a monogamous knitter, but I try to limit my current wips to around 4. I have one long term wip that I want to finish but haven’t worked on in over a year. 😜
You look great with and without the glasses. Every time I try contacts the number one comment I get is how tired I look 😒😂 I hope we had Good weather here in Colorado for you while you were here. I have 2 current WIPs a one super old one. The problem is I tell myself I will just work on multiple projects at once, but I really don’t. I work on one project solely until I get bored and repeat the process with a new project, jumping back to old projects when I get bored with new 😄
Thanks for the encouraging video, Megha! I don't knit very fast so I don't have many projects, but the WIPS do accumulate. Every so oftern - maybe twice a year - I put myself on time out for a month. The only thing I'm allowed to work on for that month are WIPS. I usually finish two or three. It is absolutely thrilling to be able to get so many finished projects in one month! I especially love your Noctua and your self-drafted cable.
this was so encouraging! I have so much wip guilt that I usually can't bring myself to frog. I also like you set things aside as the seasons change. I worked on a spring discard while watching and it was nice to be excited about it again.! thanks for your straightforward nature 😀🧶🧶
In every instance of your wips, I like your color choices so much more than the designers' choices. You are brilliant. I am happy to see your wips. I have finally organized mine in a cupboard (purchased at menards for that purpose, can you believe it?) and I am now making myself take out ONE wip at a time to work on with other projects I must or want to do. It is helping me think I am doing something with them. I am not good at frogging or turning back, so better mental health for me to forge ahead, but I admire your ability to do so and I know others would agree.
Your WIPS are all great but if you only finish one project finish the Sari Nordlund colorwork sweater! Those colors look fabulous on you! I’d make that one a priority. Love your podcast.
Wow! So many beautiful sweaters in the making! I am a monogamous knitter to a fault. I tried to work on a garment and a sock but failed to work on them simultaneously. I had to complete one to get to the other.💁🏻♀️
Hi Megha WIPS can get lost in beautiful project bags. My solution is to keep each WIP in a clear plastic box (the size of a shoe box that stack nicely on a shelf and are always in CLEAR SIGHT). I have 6 WIPS 🦋. My Craft Room is 7ft x14 and has bunk beds for the grands so space Yarns and Fabrics is super important. Think about clear boxes and Project Bags for excursions.
I am doing the same thing…..I put the yarn in a box with a pattern I definitely want to make. And sometimes I decide to not knit the pattern, going through the boxes. It prevents you from the rabbithole casting on everything.
Thank you for the inspiration. I now plan to do a big WIP sorting out too. Like you I have a craft room and keep wips in project bags & I agree it’s not a good idea because out of site is out of mind so we forget about them 😢
Oh my the green with colorwork is STUNNING! I love it ❤❤❤ what if you take the easy stockinette on the plane? Perfect episode perfect timing 👏👏👏 Maybe Bajeet would wind up some to be frogged projects watching tv? 😉 Sure would help you get to his sweaters right 😂
I enjoy your knitting podcast. You are a beautiful knitter. Your whip sweaters are so beautiful and fun to see. Good luck on finishing some of your projects. Take care.
Spring is for clearing & cleaning the house and autumn is for the wips. I pulled all of mine out 2 weeks ago. It's been a lot. I wish you as much luck as you need to finish yours! It looks like you'll have a number of them finished in very little time. Great staple pieces that you'll get so much wear of.
Fun going through your WIPs!! I think my favorite is the color work with the light blue and white on the orange. And that Marit is amazing!! I think a vest is a great idea! So many beautiful yarns and great patterns. But I have to say that many WIPs would make me beyond crazy. Maybe you need to display those WIPs in your craft room instead of having them all stuffed in bags where they are out of sight and out of mind. Good luck with all those beautiful creations!!
Your WIPs are all so beautiful. I think that you should finish the Sari sweater next because you could probably wear it to Rhinebeck, but you are just doing stockinette and that would be good for your meetings all at night when you are tired. Another way to look at your WIPs is if you have less than 6 to 8 inches of work done, they should be frogged.
I'm here for the high drama! 😅 I think I'm going to try to focus on one sweater at a time to get through some of my WIPs. I hope your travel stops for a bit!
Megha! That Pohjola sweater is divine! I remember that I originally had my doubts with your color choices, but the result is fabulous. You often choose colors that I would never think of putting together, but somehow they just work! This fall I also have too many projects in my head and on my needles. It's a combination of the crispness in the air, indulgences for my birthday, the new Wooldreamers colors that I just HAVE to have, a test knit that I just NEED to do, Anne Ventzel's new Spot cardigan pattern coming this week, and now the Sandnes Garn giveaway sweater kit that I just received. Never a dull moment!😆 @lamanchaknitter
I loooove t'his episode, where you "yap away" once again. I must admit, I am a monogamous knitter, more than 1 project on my needles makes me too nervous. (I know it can be extremely boring for others laboring on an on at the same rag for weeks, but I need to do what works for me, right?)
Absolutely!!! There have been times I have exclusively knit on one thing until it’s done. And other times when I cast on everything in sight! Knitting is supposed to bring us joy, so we definitely should do whatever we want 😁
Dear! I really loved this video! I admire your skills and sense of color work. I believe you can finish all your wip’s but agree it’s a daunting task. I am in exactly the same place but haven’t taken the time to actually look and count. Thank you for sharing your wip’s and decision-making process. I look forward to your Rhinebeck sweaters and your test knit. Welcome home 😊
I am also a Continental knitter. You mentioned that you have a tighter tension when throwing. I don't throw. I hold both yarns in my left hand. I don't get tension differences, and it's quicker.
I started putting my ufo projects on the arms of my living room chairs. 2 chairs... The bags all have straps and it works out so I see them. Ugh!!! I just had to pull back about 10 inches of knitting. It is in the naughty corner now.
I'm not overwhelmed by your wips but I think I would be if they were my wips:) I do have a few W without the IP waiting for attention 😅If you went with the good energy & left your colourwork projects where you could see them, maybe you would want to wear them enough to finish them. Good luck!!
I don'r know how anyone can handle airports anymore. Flights get cancelled, no customer service, I would be an ogre! I hope you were able to enjoy your vacation anyway. My grandson was stuck in an airport for 2 days coming back from a school trip to Europe. Thanks for sharing the WIP pile, we all seem to have one and seeing yours motivates me to clean mine up!
Aaah! That sounds terrible. I know, airports have become insanely inconvenient. I don’t know how I managed. Fingers crossed things went smoothly else I would not have been able to travel like this
Hi Megha! I lost my mojo the past couple of weeks. I think I signed up for too many KALs and couldn’t keep up. I have three or four projects from last winter to finish. I lost enthusiasm on stockinette body and sleeves. I have like six sweaters I started this fall. Yikes
I'd apologise but I'm not sorry 😂 I listened to this whilst stuffing my wips in a box in my new yarny room and told myself I'll organise them later....
Oh Megan, you have so many beautiful sweaters in progress! However, I personally think you should NOT cast on any more projects til you finish a few of these gorgeous things!

Loved this podcast especially the comment about not buying yarn at Rhinebeck.

You are the garment queen Megha! So many beauties in there, no wonder you want to finish so many 🤩 Lovely to be in your company again ❤

Awesome pile of wips. Just restarted mohair sweater that was put aside in late spring.
Beautiful projects!! I have a pile like this too, every now and then I pick one up and finish it but mostly I just add to it 😁
