Testing Panels With an Irradiance Sensor - Better Than MPPT?

In this video, we are testing an Irradiance Sensor by PVBuddy.
Typically, Irradiance sensors are found on high-end PV test equipment. PVBuddy is intended to fill the gap between entry level and high-end test equipment. PVBuddy allows for testing panels without invasive probing or dismantling your solar array. Using the sensor with a DC clamp meter, you can quickly assess the health of your solar panel module, string, or array. Use the sensor to gauge how well your solar equipment is performing.
This sensor does not use voltage. Instead, it uses watts or amps and the suns irradiance power to calculate PV performance. Enjoy!
