You've been slightly misinformed. 'Life' was written and recorded before Tamu went on maternity. It isn't about her and her baby but the band sang it to her as a welcome back after her maternity leave because it was right for the occasion. It was indeed perfect for that. I love heavy Nemophila, but I really love this new song. Anyone who tells you this isn't the Nemophila sound obviously hasn't heard much of their music. Nemophila doesn't have one sound or genre. They do, and have done, most styles and genres from Metal and metalcore through punk, ballads, pop, rap, electronicore, hard rock, alternative and indie rock. It's still early days since SAKI left. I expect they're still exploring their potential and options. Whatever they do is, and will be, great. The people who don't like it will just have to move on. It's not like the band is just going to live in one rut to pander to people's narrow opinions of what they should be.
Spot on summary. This is a new start for Nemophila since their main songwriter Akiyama and guitarist Saki left. They have released two heavy songs and a ballad. Exactly like they did when they started with Oiran, Monsters and Life. They will always play a variety of music sounds. They have done it from day one and will keep doing it. Their massive set of covers being a prime example.
This song sounded and feels simple yet extraordinary. For the people who dislike this song, i wonder if they can create a song as simple but feels different like this song and get 50k views is a short time? If they can't, they don't deserve good quality music. They should just listen to K-Pop.
Sorry for the late response. Mayu plays multiple instruments to some degree. She appears to be focusing on her guitar skiills currently. This was a long time coming. Mayu has arguably one of the world's best guitarist (Hazuki) as an instructor. i can't wait to hear more from Nemophila. ❤️🌸
