Thank you! I would have never figured this out own my own. Very straightforward thanks to your video!
Thank you for this !!!!!! I removed the blade guard because I was in a rush to change the blade and as usual made a simple job that much harder. I watched this video several times , not an exact match to my saw but similar enough to get my saw running again.
Thank you for the great video. My saw was missing the entire safety cover assembly. I used your website diagram and this video to correctly identify which parts I would need to create an entire assembly. The Lady who took my parts order was very nice and professional.
Extremely clear instructions. I had everything back to front initially, but with this vid,now working perfectly. THANKS.
THANK YOU FOR THIS, MARK!!!
Here in 2023 , this video help me repair instead of buying a new one, thx from the future
Wow, thank you so much for this. With this guide I was able to repair my dad's saw and now it's much safer for him to use!
Easy Peasy after watching your video, thanks for posting.
Great video. Should have looked for this yesterday and saved myself about 30 minutes of frustration. Thank you.
Excellent !!! Thank you very much. This was a life-saver. 5 of five thumbs up - and take the rest of the day off.☺
Make sure that when re-installing the safety cover assembly onto the body of the saw, the first bolt (installed with a 4mm hex key (Allen wrench)) has a step that needs to drop into the bottom plate of the cover assembly before tightening onto the body of the saw.
Thank you for this video!! Had to rewind a few times to figure out and follow the steps, but it worked!! I had given up earlier today and made a few cut without the cover. I had taken the cover off by accident in the wrong way. Now it’s working safely again :)
Yup, this is what I needed to see. I didn't see anything in the manual about how to assemble the cover. Naturally during blade change, more parts fell out than I anticipated.
i agree, why the manual thosent show such a important information... thumbs down for makitas manual!
Agree, easily done to accidentally remove the cover when changing the blade out. This video saved an hour of frustration 👍
many thanks. Have just re-assembled my makita copy, using your tutorial. It was a great help.regards Michael
Thank you for the great video.
Thank you so much! You literally made my day because of this! Thank you!!! 😘👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks a lot for sharing. A tried tirelessly, then within 3:34 seconds of watching your video- voula all done. Cheers
This was a huge help. Thanks!
Great help. Works for Ferm fkz-255s
Simple straight foward, use you guys all the time thanks.
Thanks, u saved me a lot of time and frustration :)
Thanks Sir, greetings from Bolivia
I have a Superior brand saw that looks to be a slightly overly complex knock off of this. Spent half an hour trying to piece together the guard spring mechanism until I found this, and boom its all back together now.
Thanks a lot! great help
Thanks! Hubby took it off to replace the blade and forgot how the cover went back into place...
Perfect, thank you!
Thank you!
Você me ajudou muito.. procurei p vídeo brasileiros e não achei.. mas achei você.. obrigado
Thank you very much! I was changing my blade and then realized something fell off and hit the ground - a spring!
I had no idea where it came from or where to reinstall it at - until I watched your video. THUMBS UP!!!
Didn’t think it was that easy good job mate
Thanks great 👍
Thanks
thanks you :)
That was great, thanks. Like most videos on TH-cam however, I could do without all the production BS up front and just get to the info you're presenting.
Thanks for watching,m and for the suggestion. We're always trying to improve our content, so we will certainly take your suggestion in mind going forward! Thanks again!
Only took me 45 minutes to change a blade. It's so easy when you learn what not to do lol
Where was the arm for the safety cover before you started removing the cover, and how do you reattach that? Thank you for an otherwise very helpful video.
Muito bom
Legend.
Sir i wanna ask you my ls1040 when finished cutting the blade still turn around like no brake. Before when the first time i was bought it after i cutting something the blade always immediately stop like there is a brake can you tell me which part should i replace?? Thanks before for your help sir
I need all those guard pieces. Can this be bought as a package? Saw is LS1211 makita
Hi do you happen to have a video on how to change the middle guard? Part number 4536342?
I have a craftsman miter saw unable to find the blade guard. What other miter saw guard will fit. Please let me know.
Pls make the video for Don cheng miter saw to replace the blade cover as soon as possible.
Bro thanks. I took this thing off to clean of sawdust and couldn’t figure out how it goes back
Glad it could help!
You the man, much Obliged for the easy fix, lol easy when you know how. MAGA24
I'm confused what actually twists it when you lift or close it. Obviously the spring returns it but I don't get what pulls it
He didn't show the bar that is already on the saw assembly ,it pushes the guard forward, I think he missed that part of dismantling and re joining it.
Me too, I'm missing this part apparently. There's not a part to push the guard out of the way.

How about doing the same for the blade cover from an Ozito 1800w 210mm dual bevel sliding mitre saw SCMS-1621 ?? If you dare
whats with the knocking at the start of the video? you do realize its extremely infamous because of how realistic it sounds right?
