Paul still commits to his songs. Saw him a week ago at an outdoor event in Virginia. During his visitation to his flock (us) during Sanctify, he spotted a corner perch on the 2nd floor of an outdoor deck, went upstairs, then climbed up and stood on top of the deck rail to witness to us. It was not a safe way to sing to an audience. But he's all in, all the time.
@@maryclaremayo6157 paul was 32 years old in this video. age aside, david here ain't wrong. any man's a geezer mate. its the only definition for the uk informal slang. you may be old but if you still wanna be a geezer, you're an old geezer. that's my only offer.
I'll often wear to a concert a music teeshirt I think is sympatico to the performer. To Paul Janeway and his Broken Bones a week ago I wore a Big Brother and the Holding Company teeshirt. During the concert, tho, I thought, Janis isn't a bad parallel. But a James Brown tee would have been a better choice.
I wish this clip included the pep talk David Letterman gave the band asking them to give it their all before this performance, because they delivered. This is a true send off to Dave!
If I'm thinking of the same thing you are that was actually a different song that was on the actual Late Show where I think this was after the show and not televised.. Could be wrong though
@@jemcee97 Sorry for the late reply, ya you are right. Notice Letterman says "another time" with the band. They originally played Half the City I think which was televised. Which was a good performance but David wanted more, gave them a 'pep' talk, then they performed this which was much more raw and emotional. **If I'm remembering correctly.
Anyone have a link, to the first song he did this night? I’ve searched the web over with know luck. Dave’s introduction of St. Paul was extraordinary as will as his performance of Half City!!
Paul and that band are pure soul.
06monarch heart and real deep SOUL

Im obsessed w/Paul🎵🎶🎹🎤🎧🎷🎸

For anyone who might have missed it, St. Paul & The Broken Bones have a "Tiny Desk Concert" (NPR) that's killer!
One of the best Tiny Desks ever. Not sure that have been as good since?

Probably the most palpable performance I’ve ever seen. Just phenomenal!
If I could sing like anyone on earth, I’d sing like St.Paul.
I'd like to have a 6 octave vocal range like ( they say ) Dimash has. ----------------- >>>>>>>. th-cam.com/video/ii9jCrKMvgQ/w-d-xo.html

I was thinking James Browns soul took over our IT guy from work but I’ll go with yours.

With the greatest of respects to both the black man and white man but when I close my eyes, I swear I hear a black mans voice.
