At some point, one of his kids had to be rushed to the hospital and then the whole thing came to light. He is 89 years old now and showing signs of dementia, so he’s not count as an active threat anymore. There are a lot of information about this case, you can google more if you want to.

The Turpin family should have been on this list. for those who don’t know, the turpin family consisted of the parents and 13 children from ages 2-29. the parents abused the the children, never cleaned the house, and never let the kids to outside for any reason, even medical emergencies. the only way we know this is because 17 yr old jordan escaped after the parents chained up on of the children to their bed. when cops arrived, jordan could barely read or pronounce simple words. after the parents arrest, they said that they were in the right for what they did, stating that it was best for them. what makes it even worse is that some of the children actually believed their parents way of thinking was correct (due to their lack of any other human interaction) and sued the police department for tearing their family apart. real sad thing to see in this modern day
