There’s no way that any true follower of Christ conceived of these torture methods and murdered people with them. Jesus warned us about false Christs and false believers and teachers and so on. Not every Christian that claims to be one is one.
The Columbian neck tie wouldn't work and it's fictional, people have found. You would have to sever the base of the tongue inside the mouth. Just look at a diagram of the head in a "half view" of the insides. The muscle that is the tongue is anchored to the floor of the mouth. Only cutting the neck wouldn't be sufficient. I've seen articles about this same misnomer, a quick Google search is all it takes.
