The thing about Residente is that he's a complete artist. He graduated in Fine Arts in Puerto Rico and has a SCAD Masters in Fine arts too. He's also a 3D animator and video editor. He now directs his own videos and does extensive research before releasing an album.
Resident has a documentary of his album on Netflix, which talks about how he could do that song and its history

please watch rene documentary so you can understand how he writes ✍ he's songs. this man RENE he's not just any man. this guy it's very very talented. please I encourage you to watch he's documentary about he's DNA and how he travel to different countries to write he's songs 🎵 just like this one WAR/ GUERRA.
yeah, after watching the documentary you get a new perspective, and then when you listen to the album again you notice every single sound in the song, in the background etc, everything had a reason, and thats what is beautiful about this album in general
Great reaction 🙌🏼 a little history about this album. Residente did an ancestry ADN test to find all the places his DNA comes from, then he traveled to all of those countries to find music to mix with his for this album, therefore the arabic sounds in the chorus.

In his documentary he goes into great detail about how the opening singers are from Ossetia and the Arabic track is Georgian (Chechen, I believe). He says that 6% of his blood comes from the Caucus region, and the line "I am made of war" is directly about the generations of people who have literally been made out of conflict and strife. It's really an impressive tour de force double gut punch that has yet to lose it's power.

@@Steamedworld I think I heard you say you didn't know who the artist was. Residente is the artist/vocalist of Calle 13. This is just his solo work.
This was the first video that he produced and directed. He's a legend here, so complete and creative.
In Spanish we don't pronounce the "u" when the syllable is "gue" or "que", only when it has diaeresis (two dots on top), like: "güe".
