i sure hope so!....generally i think games are overpriced...this one was under priced...in my opinion...especially on pcgamepass for free pretty much....i get all my rtx stuff going for once

Life transfer has actually helped me survive a lot of higher level fights that I would normally die in. If you happen to catch some bigger enemies in it, you can save them for last and use them as a health battery, shooting them occasionally to get some health back so you can kill the grunts. Even in fights against bosses, this aug is both a great lifeline and a great tanking ability. Pair with the dragon aug and you can basically get your entire health bar back for free.
I'm pretty deep in the game..like main mission is done & just completing all the side missions.. (level 31 atm) and I actually love the life transfer Aug but paired with spider bots. Really comes through in the clutch during large fire fights & battling hordes of enemies
Huge downside to Lockon is that it literally locks onto a target, if that target has a shield, it will pump your whole mag into that shield which makes it not only useless but also dangerous to use since the other mobs can close in on you easier. Only way to divert it is to dodge and bring other enemies in between the locked target and you, then it will focus those.
I agree with your assessment of Life Transfer in general BUT it can be reeeeally useful for popping on some bosses and cheesing the whole encounter, since you'll be consistently damaging them and only them, and gaining HP back as you do it.
Honestly this is the only Aug you need. I’ve got a clip of me fighting 4 or 5 of the Mega robots and since they bunches up together I popped the aug and had them all killed in 15 secs. They were all lvl 30 as well…
Dragging up an older comment here, so sorry, but life transfer + i/o converter + dealbreaker = Scraplands farming. Also needs the the rejuvenating passive augs (forgot their names) to really make it pop.
I wann agree about the loot drone, but like he said, if ur a more tactical player, u play from cover and wouldn’t wanna risk jumping out into enemy fire just to grab that health box, but instead let ur drone take it for u
Lockon Fire's greatest benefit isn't just the 100% accuracy, but the *insane* rate of fire increase during it. Even slow-firing weapons like shotguns and handcannons empty their magazines in an instant, or weapons like the miniguns unload at an unfathomable rate. Use it to quickly clean up a group or focus down a super durable target.

Great video, I love the ranking system you use. Not done with the story yet, but I'm running Fortune Dragon and Neutron Beam. Neutron Beam is amazing for all mini-bosses and mechs due to it's energy damage. It just seems to melt everything. Unfortunately, it is too easily blocked by obstacles and exposes you to damage while firing. Fortune Dragon is great for those baddies that get up close to you, it locks them down for a long time, and you can use them as a bomb. Increasing your associated skill is key so that you lock down more targets.

Great vid! Although you did miss one aug called Shield Dronettes that gives you a full body shield that reflects projectiles for a short duration. I believe its a biometric aug as well. Its sold by one of those single purchase vendors iirc
Interesting! Would love to know where that is because I've scoured every corner of the map and somehow I still missed that as well as missing one side mission that I can't seem to find anywhere. Last two things I need to 100% the game.
@@LegacyGamingUS so my best guess for where I got it is Highstreet in the Cosmodrome if you look at the map there are two entrance markers (the right one you use for a main mission where you chase the guy with the spider legs) the one on the left has a locked chest at the end and I'm pretty sure that's where I got it. I'm somehow also missing at least one sidequest for the achievement and I have NO IDEA where it is ;-;
@@Lateralus1357 check the scrapland area. When I beat the game I went back there and a few other places because they were so high level I spent little to no time there. Scrapland has a level 25-30 enemy area in the middle with a side quest about halfway through. Be aware there is a dual spiderboss fight there that has a small tether so they will keep aggroing you but if you get too far away they will just go back, reset health, and attack you again.
@@LegacyGamingUS The shield dronettes are acquired from the tactical vendor at "the edge" in The Warrens Arcology. Definitely an S tier augmentation. Invulnerability for a short time with low cooldown and energy consumption.
Ty sir I was about to purchase the robots I love the spiderbots and plays nicely into my go to character (mechanic techy) so auto turret and spiderbots thinking the loot bot for the other augment to let me focus on damage reminds me of almost a comedy relief little robot
You missed "Shield Dronettes" from your green tree augs! Useful to block all damage for a short time, but I find that the dome that slows projectiles is a better tool since you can kite melee combatants pretty easily anyway and the dome lasts much longer Also it's StaSis stomp not Status Stomp xD

I’m surprised I/o converter is on Tier D…..when I use it , I’m hitting enemies hard and I’m confident to take on higher level enemies…plus it’s a really low cooldown and last quite awhile. Combine it with the energy or ballistic burst rifle (you know the ones)….activate I/o and upgrade your weapons….you’re dangerous and would find little reason to switch to another weapon.
@@khimaros against your machines, it’s perfect….I/o converter will add more damage to it. Abr for organics and I/o will do the same. Not every situation will require them a la when they decide to throw it all at you However, another tip The energy burst rifle fills up tactical really fast….addd the tactical augment, over lock and sweet justice and……..you’re welcome

I/O converter for my first run was O.P. The spiderbot boss in the beginning went down in 8 shots with the riot shotgun MK.7 and used time stamp to stay alive .
great video! agree with everything except biometric timestamp being B, this is the only aug saving my ass on hard difficulty, the other "healing" or defensive aug cant help when you shit gets serious. if you have 40+ biometrics it not only return your health to the initial value, it heals for MORE. this thing is great, it rewards you for taking damage.
I personally thought I/O converter as one of Good augs through the game. I was getting frustrated having to change burst rifle to Blitz every time Robots pop up (especially BIG ones) but if you use IO converter you don't event have to change weapon, the robot just melts in front of you. Otherwise it takes forever to kill that robots. Yes, this experience maybe true to limited situations of play through level and gear. In my case mostly used Ballistic commander rifle. disintegrater takes too long time to kill one target, while I get punched a lot. Didn't like that. My setting and play style just hates dying, and I couldn't withstand prolonged fights. So I preferred every fight to take less then 5 seconds. Maybe that's why.
Not necessarily arguing the ranking, but Biometric Timestamp is a great mid-game augment for boss fights. Hit it when you first go in, and you don't have to worry about healing for a while. Partner it with spiderbots or the mono scrapper to draw aggro and you've got a great way to deal with tougher enemies especially during solo play
I spend my skill points like yours but I feel like I wasted a lot of components upgrading basic weapons but I see you have a lot of spare components so I don't think I have to start a new game. Subbed. Love the videos
imo biometric timestamp is S tier cuz when u fight higher lvl enemies like the one that jumps at you, cover wont help much as other enemies rush you and you'll soon have to abandon that pos. Essentially u can just run and gun while still being cautious after activating it then u wont have to worry about finding health pickups around the map especially in stages where u cant find any.
life transfer + tentakill with small enemies or big ones, it will heal you fully because of how much damage it does to the enemies which can be good mostly because while their getting up if they havent dead you can shoot them down, this may not work on some bigger targets like bosses or i think maybe even the papa ferals??? i cant remember the last part but, it can very useful
Lock-on fire is actually C tier at best. You can actually see in the example at 12:49 that lock on fire has a completely adverse effect against groups of enemies with high rate of fire weapons like the mini gun. It slows you down to about 2-3 rounds per second because the switching after eliminating a target takes way longer than killing one. So most of the time you are not even firing. Contrasting that with fully autoing into the same big group of enemies, that would be way way way more effective as the issue in that case is not hitting your target but the damage per second you can deal. In conclusion locks on fire is only useful against high health single targets, those which are usually very large anyway. So they are not that hard to hit in the first place.
I feel like homing mim deserved to be S tier. It has an aoe stun/knock back around the player on activation, does insane damage, can target pretty decently far away enemies, relatively short cooldown and not so overly expensive energy cost. Although spiderbots do hit very hard you do not get very many of them unless you’re spec’d very high, and like he said the AI is just not that great. A or B tier in my mind. Otherwise I felt like the tier list was pretty good.
Stasis Stomp should be used most effectively along side Hydraulic Slam. Stomp first and then follow up with a quick slam to clear out enemy in a blink. It even mentions in description of Stasis Stomp that it is a companion aug to Hydraulic Slam. This in my mind ups the worth of Hydraulic Slam as it really does pair nicely for quick damage/kills.
Razor Dronettes and Propulsion Leap is my go-to combo for a Melee build through midgame, disappointing to see the RDs don't scale up. I'm thinking Overclock looks sick though, gotta get and test that one.

Why is Looten above I/O converter? I/O is one of the better augments - should be at least B tier. I'd argue A tier but not my video. It allows you to carry whatever weapons you want while having a source of digital damage if you dont want to always have Bitsplit equipped. It's really because digital damage is so strong and coupled with robotic enemies being strong and prevalent + not many sources of digital damage. Looten is perhaps the worst augment in the game. I guess it helps if you're a player that is not able to use dashing/crouch mechanics and are dying a lot. It provides nothing in reality.
I’ve been running a dual-minigun build with lock-on and spider bots. The amount of efficient room clear those two mods provide is insane. Especially once you can get Dealbreaker. I’m sad that gun is so late in the game. Side note: I’m running pocket mech as my tactical but not really to kill stuff, the damage is mediocre, however where that tactical REALLY shines is popping it to get a free revive on a downed buddy.
Life transfer is way better than you think, it is crucial when you are fighting higher level opponents it can let you dish out some damage when you can't avoid taking damage yourself. Best on huge groups of tough enemies
I don't think you understand I/O Converter. It allows you to have a more flexible loadout, like a rifle and a rocket launcher instead of just 2 different damage types. I mostly agree with the rest.
Hi, where do I get the robot arms I see on your characters in some of the gameplay clips? I can't find it anywhere, but have seen it being used by people earlier in the game than me in other youtube videos
I'd rank I/O converter higher only because this game says energy weapons do damage to robots but other than the EBR Enforcer (which like the ABR Commander is just op) they still don't do as much damage as they need to imo. Though if you apply I/O converter to any gun, most robots (and more importantly high level fullchromes, siege mechs and the spiderboss) take about double damage per shot of any weapon. In scrapland and dNexus particularly this aug works better than most.
I'll have a build here shortly that makes sure I/O Converter stays D tier lol. Been rocking this build for over a week now and wanted to make sure all the prerequisites to get everything is out in video form first
I mostly use joyrun dragon and spiderbots, both are cybernetics. Spiderbots give some damage reduction by taking bullets for me while giving reasonable damage. Joyrun dragon just because I like dragons lol.
Just wanted to note that they definitely buffed life transfer. It heals for much more now, those three kills you showed would have easily topped you up
The main benefit to the Balance stat is the second part that you neglected to mention - the boost to movement speed when using heavy weapons. This allows you to move at normal speed when firing these guns once you put about 10 points or so into it. This means one of the biggest weaknesses of the best weapon in the game, the Deal Breaker, is essentially nullified.
Sure, that’s a fair point, but by the time you get the dealbreaker chances are you’ve already beaten the game. I agree the benefit is nice, but I think a small percentage of people will get the dealbreaker before completing the main story
Can you make a video how to find unique weapons? I found three unique ones. But only one with elemt-damage. One weapon I found shortly before the last mission, so I could not ugrade it. I saw a flamethrower and stuff, but never found it. Kind regards
I've been playing with 2 other friends and we all run spider bots, super useful in many scenarios. One of my friends runs neutron beam and we make up for the stationary aspect by just covering him so I think it's stronger in group play than solo, but cool augmentation regardless.
I/O Converter is excellent for Miniguns, fighting two Spiderbots at the same time, with I/O Converter, they are a joke like using a shotgun again regular beasts. The scrapyard with the Minigun and I/O Converter is like using a shotgun in a barrel filled with fish. Total awesome gore :D You need only to remember, dont use it, if you are sensitive to flashing lights, your Monitor will flashshock you haha. Got my fingers on the "The Dealbreaker", boy, with I/O Converter, its like wielding a roaring Supervulcano in your hand, the begin is slow, but the end is a Bulletstorm. I would place it at A.
Digital is by far the most damaging type of damage against robots, and since you only have one weapon with digital damage (a crappy shotgun) having the converter is super useful against robot bosses or though encounters against them. It's A tier for me because the cooldown is short so you can even avoid to waste upgrades on energetic weapons because the ballistic weapons + converter already get the job done.
I guess you could make the argument that it’s better. It does free up a weapon slot which gives you some flexibility, but losing an aug just so you can kill machines seems like a bad trade in my eyes. It really comes down to your play style and if it works for you, more power to ya.
I agree with your list except for the siderbot because when I got it my initial thought was a sider robot that can shoot. But it was that (i should have read it carefully) so I would put it as a C tier in my opinion
Umm you keep saying about how all these augments consume varying levels of energy . So how do I replenish this energy? Can I increase the size of the energy bar thru side missions or by spending money at vendors? (Sorry I just started playing so this might be a lame question )
Yeah right now I'm rocking homing mim and spiderbots and it works pretty well going solo.. unfortunately I don't have any friends that play the ascent so I'm stuck playing by myself which really really sucks.. I thought that with the co-op you would just be able to put it on public and people could just join whenever but that doesn't seem to be the case. If it is then I just don't understand how to get it to work
IO converter is S+++ rank. If you combine it with a high DPS gun, it just slaughters robotic enemies. Try a physical mini gun with lock on and IO converter. Use lock on for fleshy targets. Use IO and lock on for robots. I have slaughtered bosses 5-6 levels above me in just a few seconds with this build. No damage taken.
I love this game but I’m having issues with being “out of video memory” on Xbox One. Game force closes every few minutes and I’ve restarted, cleared cache, and even removed some games from my Xbox. How do I fix this?
The joyrun dragon,is glitched,well atleast when I use it.It glitches my gun,makes it so it doesn't fire,an makes the weapon disappear.An only way to get gun back in to go in menu an change weapon.I stopped using that aug
Just watched this and your tactical video, and am playing Ascent and I have to say, I agree with your assessments, and am a little sad that there isn't more balance in these abilities. Some are so bad and others so objectively superior that there is little room for playstyle differentiation as many of the augs and several tacticals are completely useless, or just not good enough to be worth the slot compared to vastly better competing options. Hopefully Neon Giant will see this and improve the balance on some of these. The monos and turrets being so awful makes them never useful. It was unfortunate considering that most of the tacticals are some flavor of grenade, that both the mech suit and the turret were trash since they are among the few that aren't just another grenade. Same with augs, there are some clear choice winners that just make all the rest so bad by comparison they might as well not exist in the game. Useless content is never good.
Ehhh, your usual tier list. The problem with damage dealing abilities that are overpowering is that it dulls the gameplay. Meaning the skill aspect no longer exist. I personally like playing with a Sniper and a pistol. So far my favorite augment is Bio timestamp. It is unique and reaction based. If you see that you are about to take a lot of damage you activate the ability. I found it extremely helpful against boss fights that have no access to health packs.

Life Transfer + Speedheal Mod have been working great for me. In conjunction with Spiderbots, its easy to clear out areas and always have HP.
This game NEEDS a new game+ feature

Strat incoming: Use it with the devestator after a reload if you're in a mob heavy fight. It's an absolute screen clearer.
The fact that reload speed is tied to Motorics also helps, it's one of the more useful stats to dump points into.

I/O Converter + upgraded homing ballistic rifle is a powerful, versatile combo. I rarely need to switch to my other weapon.

I/O converter for my first run was O.P. The spiderbot boss in the beginning went down in 8 shots with the riot shotgun MK.7 and used time stamp to stay alive .

I found life transfer to be a life saver towards the end. The bigger the target the better the points you get back. This is a big help when surounded.
great video! agree with everything except biometric timestamp being B, this is the only aug saving my ass on hard difficulty, the other "healing" or defensive aug cant help when you shit gets serious. if you have 40+ biometrics it not only return your health to the initial value, it heals for MORE. this thing is great, it rewards you for taking damage.
I personally thought I/O converter as one of Good augs through the game.
I was getting frustrated having to change burst rifle to Blitz every time Robots pop up (especially BIG ones) but if you use IO converter you don't event have to change weapon, the robot just melts in front of you. Otherwise it takes forever to kill that robots.
Yes, this experience maybe true to limited situations of play through level and gear.
In my case mostly used Ballistic commander rifle. disintegrater takes too long time to kill one target, while I get punched a lot. Didn't like that.
My setting and play style just hates dying, and I couldn't withstand prolonged fights. So I preferred every fight to take less then 5 seconds.
Maybe that's why.
I played only on hard mode. I NEEDED the IO converter to kill the spider boss.
If you know the mission has robots, this Augment become A tier easily.
Not necessarily arguing the ranking, but Biometric Timestamp is a great mid-game augment for boss fights. Hit it when you first go in, and you don't have to worry about healing for a while. Partner it with spiderbots or the mono scrapper to draw aggro and you've got a great way to deal with tougher enemies especially during solo play
I spend my skill points like yours but I feel like I wasted a lot of components upgrading basic weapons but I see you have a lot of spare components so I don't think I have to start a new game. Subbed. Love the videos

imo biometric timestamp is S tier cuz when u fight higher lvl enemies like the one that jumps at you, cover wont help much as other enemies rush you and you'll soon have to abandon that pos. Essentially u can just run and gun while still being cautious after activating it then u wont have to worry about finding health pickups around the map especially in stages where u cant find any.
There's a Havok in Scrapland that fell to a Strikebreaker with I/O Converter and Lockon Fire in 10 seconds
life transfer + tentakill with small enemies or big ones, it will heal you fully because of how much damage it does to the enemies which can be good mostly because while their getting up if they havent dead you can shoot them down, this may not work on some bigger targets like bosses or i think maybe even the papa ferals??? i cant remember the last part but, it can very useful
dronettes have saved my ass so many times and are so much fun. Really useful early on.

I found a Shield Dronettes augment which I don't see in your list. Maybe there are more undiscovered augments in the game?

Lock-on fire is actually C tier at best.
You can actually see in the example at 12:49 that lock on fire has a completely adverse effect against groups of enemies with high rate of fire weapons like the mini gun. It slows you down to about 2-3 rounds per second because the switching after eliminating a target takes way longer than killing one. So most of the time you are not even firing.
Contrasting that with fully autoing into the same big group of enemies, that would be way way way more effective as the issue in that case is not hitting your target but the damage per second you can deal. In conclusion locks on fire is only useful against high health single targets, those which are usually very large anyway. So they are not that hard to hit in the first place.

I feel like homing mim deserved to be S tier. It has an aoe stun/knock back around the player on activation, does insane damage, can target pretty decently far away enemies, relatively short cooldown and not so overly expensive energy cost. Although spiderbots do hit very hard you do not get very many of them unless you’re spec’d very high, and like he said the AI is just not that great. A or B tier in my mind.
Otherwise I felt like the tier list was pretty good.
Stasis Stomp should be used most effectively along side Hydraulic Slam. Stomp first and then follow up with a quick slam to clear out enemy in a blink. It even mentions in description of Stasis Stomp that it is a companion aug to Hydraulic Slam. This in my mind ups the worth of Hydraulic Slam as it really does pair nicely for quick damage/kills.
16:20 complete the darkhorse sidemision. Well goodluck with that, is bugged out for a lot of players.
Razor Dronettes and Propulsion Leap is my go-to combo for a Melee build through midgame, disappointing to see the RDs don't scale up. I'm thinking Overclock looks sick though, gotta get and test that one.

There is a Tactical Mech you can pop... it's garbage... or at least I didn't like it, shoots over most enemies.

Why is Looten above I/O converter? I/O is one of the better augments - should be at least B tier. I'd argue A tier but not my video. It allows you to carry whatever weapons you want while having a source of digital damage if you dont want to always have Bitsplit equipped. It's really because digital damage is so strong and coupled with robotic enemies being strong and prevalent + not many sources of digital damage.
Looten is perhaps the worst augment in the game. I guess it helps if you're a player that is not able to use dashing/crouch mechanics and are dying a lot. It provides nothing in reality.
Wasn't there an augment where you get into a mech or something? Even the trailers have footage of that.

I’ve been running a dual-minigun build with lock-on and spider bots. The amount of efficient room clear those two mods provide is insane. Especially once you can get Dealbreaker. I’m sad that gun is so late in the game.
Side note: I’m running pocket mech as my tactical but not really to kill stuff, the damage is mediocre, however where that tactical REALLY shines is popping it to get a free revive on a downed buddy.
Life transfer is way better than you think, it is crucial when you are fighting higher level opponents it can let you dish out some damage when you can't avoid taking damage yourself. Best on huge groups of tough enemies
I don't think you understand I/O Converter.
It allows you to have a more flexible loadout, like a rifle and a rocket launcher instead of just 2 different damage types.

Hi, where do I get the robot arms I see on your characters in some of the gameplay clips? I can't find it anywhere, but have seen it being used by people earlier in the game than me in other youtube videos

I'd rank I/O converter higher only because this game says energy weapons do damage to robots but other than the EBR Enforcer (which like the ABR Commander is just op) they still don't do as much damage as they need to imo. Though if you apply I/O converter to any gun, most robots (and more importantly high level fullchromes, siege mechs and the spiderboss) take about double damage per shot of any weapon. In scrapland and dNexus particularly this aug works better than most.
I'll have a build here shortly that makes sure I/O Converter stays D tier lol. Been rocking this build for over a week now and wanted to make sure all the prerequisites to get everything is out in video form first
I mostly use joyrun dragon and spiderbots, both are cybernetics. Spiderbots give some damage reduction by taking bullets for me while giving reasonable damage. Joyrun dragon just because I like dragons lol.
Just wanted to note that they definitely buffed life transfer. It heals for much more now, those three kills you showed would have easily topped you up

The main benefit to the Balance stat is the second part that you neglected to mention - the boost to movement speed when using heavy weapons. This allows you to move at normal speed when firing these guns once you put about 10 points or so into it. This means one of the biggest weaknesses of the best weapon in the game, the Deal Breaker, is essentially nullified.
Sure, that’s a fair point, but by the time you get the dealbreaker chances are you’ve already beaten the game. I agree the benefit is nice, but I think a small percentage of people will get the dealbreaker before completing the main story

I found three unique ones. But only one with elemt-damage.
One weapon I found shortly before the last mission, so I could not ugrade it. I saw a flamethrower and stuff, but never found it.

I've been playing with 2 other friends and we all run spider bots, super useful in many scenarios. One of my friends runs neutron beam and we make up for the stationary aspect by just covering him so I think it's stronger in group play than solo, but cool augmentation regardless.

I/O Converter is excellent for Miniguns, fighting two Spiderbots at the same time, with I/O Converter, they are a joke like using a shotgun again regular beasts. The scrapyard with the Minigun and I/O Converter is like using a shotgun in a barrel filled with fish. Total awesome gore :D You need only to remember, dont use it, if you are sensitive to flashing lights, your Monitor will flashshock you haha.
Got my fingers on the "The Dealbreaker", boy, with I/O Converter, its like wielding a roaring Supervulcano in your hand, the begin is slow, but the end is a Bulletstorm.
I would place it at A.
Digital is by far the most damaging type of damage against robots, and since you only have one weapon with digital damage (a crappy shotgun) having the converter is super useful against robot bosses or though encounters against them.
It's A tier for me because the cooldown is short so you can even avoid to waste upgrades on energetic weapons because the ballistic weapons + converter already get the job done.
I guess you could make the argument that it’s better. It does free up a weapon slot which gives you some flexibility, but losing an aug just so you can kill machines seems like a bad trade in my eyes. It really comes down to your play style and if it works for you, more power to ya.

I agree with your list except for the siderbot because when I got it my initial thought was a sider robot that can shoot. But it was that (i should have read it carefully) so I would put it as a C tier in my opinion

Overdrive has been nerfed as of 8/6. The health recovery rate is much slower now
Umm you keep saying about how all these augments consume varying levels of energy . So how do I replenish this energy? Can I increase the size of the energy bar thru side missions or by spending money at vendors? (Sorry I just started playing so this might be a lame question )

Yeah right now I'm rocking homing mim and spiderbots and it works pretty well going solo.. unfortunately I don't have any friends that play the ascent so I'm stuck playing by myself which really really sucks.. I thought that with the co-op you would just be able to put it on public and people could just join whenever but that doesn't seem to be the case. If it is then I just don't understand how to get it to work

IO converter is S+++ rank. If you combine it with a high DPS gun, it just slaughters robotic enemies. Try a physical mini gun with lock on and IO converter. Use lock on for fleshy targets. Use IO and lock on for robots. I have slaughtered bosses 5-6 levels above me in just a few seconds with this build. No damage taken.

The joyrun dragon,is glitched,well atleast when I use it.It glitches my gun,makes it so it doesn't fire,an makes the weapon disappear.An only way to get gun back in to go in menu an change weapon.I stopped using that aug
Just watched this and your tactical video, and am playing Ascent and I have to say, I agree with your assessments, and am a little sad that there isn't more balance in these abilities. Some are so bad and others so objectively superior that there is little room for playstyle differentiation as many of the augs and several tacticals are completely useless, or just not good enough to be worth the slot compared to vastly better competing options. Hopefully Neon Giant will see this and improve the balance on some of these. The monos and turrets being so awful makes them never useful. It was unfortunate considering that most of the tacticals are some flavor of grenade, that both the mech suit and the turret were trash since they are among the few that aren't just another grenade. Same with augs, there are some clear choice winners that just make all the rest so bad by comparison they might as well not exist in the game. Useless content is never good.

Ehhh, your usual tier list. The problem with damage dealing abilities that are overpowering is that it dulls the gameplay. Meaning the skill aspect no longer exist. I personally like playing with a Sniper and a pistol. So far my favorite augment is Bio timestamp. It is unique and reaction based. If you see that you are about to take a lot of damage you activate the ability. I found it extremely helpful against boss fights that have no access to health packs.
