Knowing how to load the thread into the stitcher is helpful, along with putting the needed in the stitcher and tightening it down helps. Knowing about using waxed thread specifically and nothing else is important. The most important step is how the loop forms and why. Knowing how tight to pull the thread is helpful, and also using the palm to push the stitcher helps. Knowing how to end the repair is important, too. Exactly what do you pull it through? A loop, a hole, a stitch? How do you secure the knot. and what's that post for that's attached to the handle. Is it for proper tension? Are there different size threads and needles? Can you rub bees wax on regular thread?

@Nash Sports Great video! Would you be able to create a video on your recommendation for fixing palms in gloves with the awl stitcher?

Can this sticher be used to complete most repairs on goaltending equipment? I'm looking to re-palm the blocker and replace the binding on the entire set set.

For Repalming the Speedy-Awl would be too large but for pads it can be very handy!

Will the stiches that were cut to remove the buckle come undone over time ? Or will they be fine just left cut?

They may - you can just stitch up a bit higher to secure the previously cut stitching.

@@NashSports I noticed that after a while, they stitch does come undo if the thread is cut too close to the knot. You can try to also melt the end of the knots for additional insurance.
