To get the best sound, you need to take those turbos off. Turbos on an F1 is criminal 😋 Go for sound & emotion over power, nothing better than a howling naturally aspirated V 12. Either way you should be immensely proud of what you’ve achieved you are truly talented.

Well thers one in the banner on my channel, if i'd compare it with the real thing i noticed the frond of the nose is too round above the two air ducts you could make this more flat(the nose is too long anyways) , the head lights are a bit stretched out, still you wouldnt see it if you didnt know it, one of the best copy ive ever seen

I'm glad you made this follow up video, I was wondering about the paint job for sure, especially since I read that fiberglass panels could deteriorate over time? 🤔 I'm sure the carbon fiber is a different story on it's own though, and I'm glad it still looks as amazing as it did when you completed the build. Definitely lots of hard work, but from what I can tell, you're super proud of what you managed to accomplish, and it's been well worth your time and efforts 😊
Thank you. Yes the panels and paint is one thing that I've been most concerned about for the long run. Almost anything else can be repaired or maintained. So far so good though...😅

We only went to 500hp but my nerves got the best of me! (it's scary seeing your baby being tortured on the dyno) I believe it will go much higher. Cost is also still bit of a mistery to me ( maybe it's better that way 😂)

Will be cncing the entire body out of foam which I will then start laying Fibreglass on. I really like the door latches you have used on your Mclaren! Where did you get those aswell as all your other little hood and engine lid fixtures?
Hi Garreth. Thanks for your message! It is great to hear when someone gets inspired by my videos. The buttons for the doors are industrial power switches (like they use on tools like CNC and so on) that I modified. It is connected via a push rod to the door catch (from a VW Golf mk1). You will see the mechanism itself is on the body and the pin is on the door side. The door can be opened from the inside via a cable operated lever under the passenger seats (same as the original). The other lid fixtures are called dzus fasteners (they use it in the aircraft industry). Please keep me posted when you start your project. It sounds like it could be epic!

you didn't do the engine bay.. if I'm not mistaken, the LM F1 had an engine bay lined in 24k gold because BMW has/had a reputation for overheating, and the gold helped to dissipate the heat that came off the engine. I had an inline 6 BMW, and.. you want to talk about a ghost in the machine? i went through the motions, even sought guidance from two different mechanics and still could not find the cause of my overheating problem... at the end of the day it was remedied by constant maintenance and attentive care. could never let the car just sit there and idle. it could be 5 minutes or it could be 45 minutes, or sometimes not at all... all in all it was just about guaranteed to overheat if you just let it run.. but i digress.... damn dude, without the rest of the cars in the garage... that McLaren replica, is an astounding feat in itself.. great job brother. damn nice cars.

The Mclaren was how I found your channel, I remember seeing something about it long ago and it might have been the cars.co.za one, and I wanted to show my brother and searched and found your channel. I though the sunroof on the isetta was for if you park too close to the wall and you cant get out, you had to open the roof and push the car away from the wall enough to open the door cause there was no reverse? Thank you for all the effort you put into making the videos, they make it a happy day for me when ever there is a new one.
Looks so nice but the Question for me is drives it Good ?? A Bodykit can doo alot People but the Good must be the mechanical Parts you need for driving like a F1 gtr
Thank you. I don't think I can compare it with the real F1 but for me performance was more important than anything. That's why I spent so much on the complete drive train, suspension etc.
I have the tooling to build the dettling sports car that's on youtube for sale if you want to produce a car that is close but better then the f1 in many many ways.
I am unsure why everyone in the comment section is so hyped about this car. It looks exactly like a homebrew car. I would not want to call this a replica. This is like a turkish Rolex knock off quality.

Only thing I would change on that McLaren build, is the wheels, which you seem to love. I think those don't make it any justice.

Thank you. I used Lexan. Same stuff they use on race cars and bike helmets. Extremely strong but has to be looked after to not scratch

It's a long and difficult process. You have to register it as home built. Lots of red tape

I have the tooling to build the dettling sports car that's on youtube for sale if you want to produce a car that is close but better then the f1 in many many ways.
I am unsure why everyone in the comment section is so hyped about this car. It looks exactly like a homebrew car. I would not want to call this a replica. This is like a turkish Rolex knock off quality.
