    Thanks mate. Really helped out on my Polo .
    I love VAG cars but sometimes the way some things break on them. Guess I'm a glutton pain.

    What kind of glue do you recommend ? I have same issue. I believe this is because I leave the heater on for several weeks and original glue melted.

    Great video. I noticed my mirror waggling today so was able to save it. Does your mirror still heat up OK having the sticky tape holding it in Place?

    I have a very strong double sided tape which im thinking of using. Do you think its better to use glue rather than double sided tape?

    Should I disconnect the battery before disconnecting and reconnecting wires?

    Thanks a lot for this. I had a tone of old glue from previous owner to get off and didn’t realise backing plate came off so easily. 3M VHB tape and it’s like s#it to a blanket now!! 😂

    Hi, did you use strong glue as well or just the sticky pads that came with it?

    • @ajvw

    Okay so if my glass is heated it's enough to sit down glass on holder with 3m tape? Or better with normal strong glue?

    • @ajvw
      @ajvw  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glue is better I think

    Thanks for the video. Mine started falling off, i notice d on time so i still have the mirror. Can you tell me, can i just use super glue and glue it back on.? So i dont have to use those double side adhesive tapes. Thank you

    • @ajvw
      @ajvw  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes you can use super glue or contact adhesive to attach it

      @@ajvw cheers - good to know; I'd been noticing it wobble for about half an hour, and then on the motorway-ish reckoned it was really about to fall - I think it would have done! phew, but still need to get it back on - it's not fun driving without it.

    What if the mirror is heated?

    • @ajvw
      @ajvw  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're not touching the heating element if you just stick the glass back on. If you need to replace then yes you'll need one with element built in
