You’ve conducted an excellent interview revealing the passion of a devoted couturier. While I’ve tried all three of Marc-Antoine’s perfumes and failed to receive the coup de foudre moment I had hoped, I will revisit the fragrances. Despite that I walk away with a decidedly great respect for the man and his perfumes.
I don't know the other perfumes from the house but Ganymede is in a league of its own. It is such a modern masterpiece. Well done Marc and Quentin and thank you Mr P for the great interview. God knows how much we needed a good interviewer in this community since the other hat guy is simply so dreadful to watch. ❤
Very fascinating interview Mr. P. Another one for the books, and it keeps getting better and more interesting! (Like curiouser and curiouser - in true Alice and Wonderland theme). My poor wallet is whimpering though as my wish list keeps getting longer and longer every time I listen to all these interviews, haha. Getting to know the artistic director or the perfumer behind the house provides a different perspective that makes me genuinely curious to get to know the fragrances more! Thanks Mr. P and Monsieur Barrois.
Exceptional perfumes indeed at least to my taste, Love Ganymede, but my favorite is B683, the Extrait, on my skin, the dry down gets a little funky but amazing scent! I haven't tried Encelade but I know I will like it. Great story about the creation of the perfumes for the house, almost magical. Thanks a million for the interviews Dariush as always a pleasure!!!
You took the words right out of my mouth because he never answered until you asked again "yes but WHY THE BLUE RABBIT?" Great part of a fine interview. Have you already interviewed Quentin Bisch, and if not, is he next? Also MAB should collaborate with with Scorpio Rising star A.L.
Very interesting interview with a passionate creator! On the subject of Fahrenheit and violet, another great creation from Quentin Bisch for YSL Le Vestiaire: Grain de Poudre is an amazing musky violet, sage & suede accord. Le Vestiaire is a « too-well-kept secret ». This collection is simply beautiful and offers some of the most beautiful (for me) suede accord: Sleek Suede, Grain de Poudre, 24 rue de l'Université, 6 Place Saint-Sulpice, etc. - Love your work Mr. P, always interesting and full of discoveries! Thanks!
I feel I need to offer my apologies up front! Try as I might, I just can't warm to Ganymede although I did recently receive a sample of B683 as part of a full bottle purchase of Daniel Josier Ambre Tabac (what a fragrance!) and to my surprise I liked it. I do however love, and have a bottle of, Bois Imperial by Essential Parfums (widely acknowledged as Ganymede's little brother) so I won't write off Ganymede just yet.
Hello ! Many thanks for all your kind comments. The glasses are from a niche artisanal French brand called « La Luzeronde ».
Thanks for sharing the info.
