Good man, just got mine today and found the instructions crap but your video helped me along 👍🏻
Thanks so much for the walkthrough! Got my 4L kit for Christmas, and this really helped in getting it set up.
Thank you so much for the video! I was completely lost and frustrated with the "instructions" that came with the kit. Were it not for your video I would have thrown my gear in the trash.
Its a mind blowing how such a relatively good product has such a crappy, invalid instructions. Thanks for saving the day mate :)
Thank you so much for making this video . I e purchased the 2.3 L kit , and the instructions are completely different to what I actually received . The system is by far the most cost effective way of providing co2 - and with four nano’s ( two 60 litres , one13 litre and one 22 litre) using the Tropica bio system was beginning to cost £18 a month - mainly because you cannot control the flow rate of co2 coming in to the tank . I had thought that the configuration of the solenoid and bubble counter might be as you have shown it , but now I know for sure . Can’t wait to set it up ! So lovely to have the reassurance at the end too - happy fishkeeping ! 🐡🐠🐌🪼🐟
I wanted to say, thank you SO much for this video. I just got the 2L kit, and the instructions were pretty vague at times. But your video walked me right through the set up, and now I'm just adjusting my flow rate and watching my drop checker. Thank you from the US!
On a side note, I found out the hard way WHY they tell you to tilt the bottle to pour the water in. I kept the bottle standing upright without thinking about it because I wanted to use the funnel. Yeah the reaction was so vigorous that the rising gas blew back the water and splashed me in the face! 😂 So for all those watching this video to learn how to set up your own system, learn from my mistake, and tilt that bottle!
I found this video helpful. Tip for installing the tubing.... the tubing does go over the ridge on the glass. The trick is to dip the tubing into hot water (not boiling) and slide it on. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for putting this out. I just got mine and was completely lost as to how to put it together.
Yeah wasn't this video great!! I've watched other videos about this system and none was as complete and careful in explaining things. I'm not good at this type of thing so I want to make sure I don't break any parts of the system. I didn't realize for one thing that you remove that little screw nut off of the bubble counter to attach the solenoid which was really throwing me off. No other video caught this and explained that you have to take the darn thing off. I'm not sure why it's on there in the first place ... I guess if you don't use the solenoid I don't know.
Great video. Just used it to setup my own FZone 4l canister. Thanks
10:14 I literally gasped for air watching you ALMOST cross thread that lol
Nice! I love my 4L kit
Tech tip I learned from Reddit after experiencing healthy green drop checker but a godly amount on the bubble counter (25+/sec).
Make sure your CO2 tubing is ONLY the exact length as needed. This will increase your misting rate, size, and pressure. Did mine.
I also raised the water level until the exhaust of the hob doesn't create as little to no surface agitation as possible.
I then placed the diffuser directly under the hob intake so that the hob sucks up the CO2, breaks it up and co2 Infused water comes out the tank, then my wave maker takes as soon as it comes out and circulates it across, down, and back.
I now am able to get to 4/sec and at a healthy, close to 30ppm green. Dkh4
Edit, 1:1.312 (bicarb:citric acid) is a great ratio to start with + water 900ml 4l or 600ml 2l
Nice video, just bought the Co2 and yes instructions are a tad vague. I wouldn’t run the air stone at the same time, it will be competing with the co2. Co2 during the day and air when then its off.
Great video I’m going to get one thank you so much 👏👏👏
Thank you so much! Helped me setup mine.
The 2.5L has option for solenoid.
What size aquarium is the 2.5L recommended for?
@@mikeycbaby not sure sizes but you can do a large tank but gas will run out faster the bigger you go. 0-50 gallon is what I’d say. My first charge of the 2.5L is still going after a week or so. I’ll update if you remind me.
Is there a Solenoid included in the 2.5 L kit? I see you put that it was included in the 4 L kit, but I am planning on getting the smaller option.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Thanks man !

This really helped me when I set mine up. I've just refilled my canister and watched the video again. We never got an update on your plants
Drop checker is way too low in the tank, and it's just a rough guide, the best way to check co2 levels is the one point ph test.
Great video brother!
Great video! I’ve always thought it was too hard, but this video shows how easy it can be. How long should you get before you need to refill? And did you say it switches off at night? How? New subscriber from Australia ❤️🇦🇺
1 bubble per second lasted me about 5/6 weeks as I didn't want to have 2 bubbles becasue of my otocinclus fish. The system switches off at night due to a solenoid switch which sometimes is sold separately, so make sure this is included in your purchase of any co2 system.

Don't use the aeration with CO2 on. You lose CO2 with the agitation of water. Lights on, CO2 on, aeration off. Lights off Co2 off aeration on.
Plus, check your PH and stop CO2 when it is below your preferred metric
That’s bad advise you need surface turnover
Thank you for the video, I used it to set up my 4L.
Great video! Has helped direct me with my 2.5L kit. One thing I don't no is what my BPM should be for 120L tank that is heavily planted. Any advise out there? Thanks.
I strongly recommand to use a Ph- meter. It costs nearly nothing and will help you a lot. Start with 1 bubble /s. Then adjust depending on the PH after 2h. Be gentle on adjustement cause if you have an EC < 250 us/cm and a KH < 4 the PH can vary A LOT. So the result will probably be between 1,2 and 1,5 bubble/s. If you have an aquascaping and a population that support a PH
how long does that 2.5L last you?

Get yourself a chrome check valve. much safer.
Great video, glad you mentioned the things that went wrong to warn the things that can go wrong , quick question on the dial on the regulator is creeping up! All pics show it sitting from 100 - 300 psi
Mine is almost at 450! Is this ok?
The second dial with no colours on it is saying 50PSI
I really thank you so much! your precious video helped me a lot to avoid making mistakes because the instructions are not very well done and are not in my language and above all I was going crazy because I didn't understand where the black filter should be installed! because it's not even shown in the instructions on Amazon.
How did it go for you? I just ordered one too, should be here tomorrow
Hope it went well!

Hows it going any good?
@@syco1665 yes the plants are growing really well, I plan on posting a growth video to show this in a few weeks time.
@@AquaticArtUK ok, would you say your plants were growing good before or just about?
Yes my plants are now really growing fast now, especially after my first refill at about 5 weeks in. I am scheduled to post soon as i need to trim the plants but i want to show everyone the growth before i trim and the plants are starting to takeover lol. Another added bonus of CO2 is that you can purchase plants that otherwise would not grown without CO2 (as long as you have string lighting), so itsmakes it exciting searching for new plants for your aquarium.
One last point some of the plants actually grow too quickly (the ones that do not need CO2) and i will also show this in the upcoming video as i am going to remove some of my Ludwigia as i have to trim it every week.
Appreciate the video! A few of my tanks are sooo bad with my plants all stained and covered with algae and I'd love to see some easy lush plant growth once in my life before I die. I do have some tanks that have made it to the balanced stage which keeps me still in the hobby but I'd love to get on with some great plant growth.
What kind of lighting do you have and how long do you have your lights on? I appreciate hearing from a beginner CO2 user so thanks again!

Hi thanks for the video. I have a similar system, should there be an o-ring in the cap for the bubble counter? I mean the but you unscrew in order to fill it with water? I have air leaking from there but I can't see any damage. Thanks!

How has the solenoid performed since you started?
mine doesn't seem to work...
The electronic solenoid allows you to use a ph controller .
