awesome views, and amazing john deere 3046R tractor and i myself love being out in the woods and enjoying life, keep up the good work friend….purchased a john deere 1025R perfect size for what i have to do…keep the videos coming…
pull sticks out with cable then tow them with chain attached to pull slots in winch. If you continue towing with the cable you will eventuall break either the top link or the tractor. Good luck.
Once you cut the log up, in various long pieces; wouldn't it of been easier to grapple all of them together bringing them back to the house? Granted you would of had to shorten a few for the ride back. Be careful with the cable & chain without gloves.
Hi I am wanting to order a 3046r. We are struggling. Are you running John deere hydraulic kits? I have the grapple and we are not finding a kit to run the grapple? Are you running the grapple from the rear hydraulics? Thanks for any advice!
Is there any way of a video showing/explaining about the kit? I know the button on the loader handle controls the scv in the back but how about to run the grapple? And again thanks for the info!
@@jakewiskur3702 I’ll give it a shot, the kit came in two sections. The first section was the hard pipe that went from the bucket of the tractor to the hard connection where the loader attachment goes on and off then the second section was rubber hydraulic hoses that snaked through underneath the cab to the SVC connection.
I'm left handed, yes we all have our ways that meet comfort level to skill and this first tree for me wouldnt had been no more than 5 - 10 min tops. I had always wondered what all the "safety" equipment is about yet im sure it has something to do with the horrified safety mongers that troll every video. I'm for safety but some of this stuff becomes a hazard all on its own safety be damned... To each their own, after its all said and done success is measured in these instances as not getting yourself or anyone hurt or damaging property...
you got the best tractor for the job that xcellent green n yellow cant beat them
Nice set up with that winch and cab tractor Wished my 2032 had a cab..

great job !!!!
I'm sorry, tried to make it thru the entire video but the music, the John Deere must sound better.
Yep it would be nice if TH-cam would let us use ZZ Top instead Lagrange would be my tractor jam!

I guess that you could but it would require wider skid roads and a much bigger tractor.
@@mapletreehomestead3437 In the interim; maybe 2 trips vs 1? Ha!

Yes, it is a John Deere kit that we installed using the rear hydraulics!

Hey what video did you show the mods you did to the winch?
The only thing that I did to the winch is I shortened the PTO.
I do have a video about the things that I did to the tractor for logging,
@@mapletreehomestead3437 what video is that one?

That's a beautiful tractor! You ever consider wheel spacers for it?
Yep i did a video on installing wheel spacers last fall
What is the amount of time it takes to take a tree down and out?
Total time for me now being left handed is just north of an hour!
