- #ilovervlife #alabamacamping #alabamacampgrounds Ever so often in one's RV travels, you stumble upon a campground that leaves a lasting impression. This was the case with River Country RV Campground located in Gadsden AL. Joan and I were heading south from Nashville and decided to take a new route through Alabama. Looking for a stop along the way, we found River Country a few minutes from I-59 South. Wow, this is a pretty campground located on a point where the Black Creek and the Coosa River join. We had the fortunate luck to have a water view spot overlooking Black Creek with the hill ridges in the background. Just beautiful. In this video we take you on a tour of the campground, showing the quaint little Chapel, a walk around the creek and river point, camping sites along with the many amenities offer by the campground. We also show a couple of the fun restaurants and a trip to that crazy shopping stop - Unclaimed Baggage. Slightly off the path of most RV destinations, River Country RV Campground and the city of Gadsden, AL was a great spot to rejuvenate as we continue our early spring RV travels.

If you're back in this area again try Guntersville State Park campground. The fishing is awesome and every evening Deer come down into parts of the campground to feed. Some of the deer will let you pet them. If you go September -October you will see lots of fawns and sometimes the 8 & 10 point bucks. Guntersville also has a Top O' The River, it is amazing! You have to try the turnip greens, they're out of this world!!

We stayed at River Country Rv Campground on our way back home with our new camper! Only stayed one night....have been planning a longer stay ever since! It is indeed a beautiful campground!

Wow Jerry and Joan! That is some kinda pretty, as you said! Great video and review of the River Country RV Campground in Gadsden AL. It's always important to get restaurant recommendations from the campground office, while out on any excursion to us as well. Looks like Local Joe's Trader Co is some kinda good eat'in.... with those delicious looking pies and pastries just before y'all headed out lol😀. It's also fun to go check out the shopping businesses in the area as well. Everyone loves a fish house restaurant too with sweet tea too, Joan! Have fun you 2, stay safe and happy glamping... Hi, Jerry, excellent video. We live fifteen minutes by boat downstream from River Country campground, and less than that from Top O' the River restaurant. Your description makes me question why we leave home to go RVing. We see a similar view from our back deck. I hope you were able to experience one of our breathtaking sunsets. Safe travels.

WOW! As you said, that's some kind of pretty. You find some of the best RV campgrounds. Another place to add to our bucket list thanks to you. I especially love that you mentioned it has pull-throughs. Still trying to get my backing in skills on point, so I always can appreciate me a good pull-through site. LOL! The back-ins along the river actually look pretty managable. I really enjoyed you taking us down by the water. The landscaping and willow trees are so beautiful. I just love willow trees. I even like how the big pool is right at the river for some amazing views. Everything is just so well maintained.
Local Joe's looks like a fun quirky place for sure. WOW! and the food, looks darn good! Yum! LOL! Joan is too funny. Just like Walmart. hahahaha, I've heard of these unclaimed baggage stores and have always been curious about them Thanks for showing us some behind the scenes baggage! LOL!

Thanks guys. Some times good luck and maybe Jupiter and some other planet lines up just so and you stumble into a great campground and friendly town. Most certainly was the case this go round. The week was half work and half fun (typical Jerry week) and wish we had stayed another week. If you're heading to Nashville from the south, this is a perfect stop. My Joan. Hi John. Thanks. We’re heading west late summer through mid November. I’ve had corporate travel from northern CA and WA and it’s is a beautiful part of this country, but we might not make it that far this year. But, it’s definitely on the list.

Hi Salvatore. For some reason, we drive through Alabama heading west. That’s a mistake. There’s a large number of very nice campground. Joan and I stayed at Gulf Shores Park before we started the channel. Very nice campground across from the beach, plus Gulf Shores is a really nice place. Here’s a link www.alapark.com/gulf-state-park

Salvatore Vinciguerra desoto falls is a nice place up a little north in Alabama, desoto falls in central al. Joe wheeler state park is another good one in north Alabama.

Were you able to look at the campgrounds at the fall to see if they were a nice place to stay?
I drove through. Looked to be well maintained. Heavily wooded. Also had full hook ups.
When you guy's were walking out that unclaimed baggage store, Jerry, how was you filming you and Joan? It's showing both of you walking so did you have some one in front of you walking backward to film you? lol
Hi Ty. Just Joan and I. Camera trick where you walk slow and hold the camera at arms length.

Is that a WeBoost antenna installed on your ladder?
It's a marine 10db gain antenna. I have a port on our MiFi that supports an external antenna. Works good in fringe areas and so far so good. Maybe used less than a dozen times. If the signal very is weak a WeBoost is the best bet. We're heading West late Fall. I'll add the WeBoost then. Still thinking about using the painter's pole for the antenna. The extra height is a bonus. If I go this route, I'll have a video late Summer.

@@iLoveRVlife When ever I watch your videos on You-Tube when you go to a camp ground I save all your videos. In the future I plan on traveling to camp grounds my self and you give me great ideas. Keep finding them for me lol.

It was middle of the week. Late evening the rods came out. Fri thru Sun the banks were full of folks.
