Thanks for this collection. Have never seen all the riverboats. My great grandfather, William Lee Griffin, from Ten Island, AL (near Ohatchee) worked on the riverboats. When they stopped running he moved the family or Gadsden and he worked at the steel plant.
Just a footnote on the histeory of Nocalula Falls, I remember in the early 60's, I guess before they put the fence up. Someone drove and old car off the cliff of the falls, and it stayed there at the bottem of the falls for a long time! I remember when they unveiled that statue. They had it covered for a long time before they took the veil off, I remeber thinking that it was the ugliest thing I had ever seen! lol (it still is!, but she was green from day one!!!}
