Recently I visited Chattahoochee Bend State Park in Newnan, Georgia…absolutely beautiful, large lots, lots of hiking trails with 7 miles of access to the Chattahoochee River. You would enjoy it!
I watch a lot of these videos and I must say yours are the best. Thanks to you I know what the site looks like before I book it. Love your dog too Stay blessed and keep making videos for us. ❤
Hi Jerry! We've been watching your videos for almost a year, and I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate them and you! We've learned so much about the amazing places you've visited, as well and your informative videos on camper care and gadgets! Anyway, after seeing this video, I decided to book a week at Tugaloo! I can't wait to go! We'll be there June 24th through July 1st, and hoping some grown kids & some grandkids join us. Thanks again, and we hope to meet you in person someday! Take care!
Thanks so much for the kind words. Great to hear you're going to Tugaloo. It's a very nice campground, beautiful lake and surroundings. If you have time, take the drive to Toccoa and visit the Currahee Military Museum. Have fun.
We stayed in site 104 last week. It turned out to be a great site with plenty of room on the front for our awning and great space on the back side for the pop up canopy and table. Plenty of room for our guest to come and visit.
Memories brother! Our family camped here a lot when I was a kid. Live in Baldwin, GA so not too far away! Our grandparents kept one camper year round up on Hickory Nut Mountain campground near Helen and one of our Uncles and Aunt's had a lake house on Hartwell. Good times!
Such a wonderful review of a beautiful park! My husband and I are retired from Georgia State Parks, with 60 years service between the two of us. We are proud of these parks and so glad to see folks enjoying them! You do a great job with your reviews, sir-thanks for all the inspiration to visit these places. We’ve been to Tugaloo, but haven’t camped there. Will do, hopefully soon! All the best to y’all ~•~
Thanks so much Gae. We have a number of the Georgia State Parks that are our favorites. Greatly appreciate all the work that makes each one special. Hope you get a chance to return soon. Safe travels.
@@iLoveRVlife the west coast state parks are not going to give you any thing I keep waiting for them to charge extra for dumping. New Mexico is the best that I've seem for state parks $14 for elect $18 for elect and sewer per night $10 for developed (may or not have water) $8 for primitive and they offer an annual pass $230 for a non resident so that if you want an elect it's $4 and elect and sewer $8 per night developed and primitive $0. We spent about 40 days there in parks last winter with the pass and saved big time. For the most part I think you could get the beast into most of them.
Hi Jerry! We love your videos and use them as references when planning our camping trips to new undiscovered places. We have found them to both interesting and informative, making it easy for us to enjoy our adventures in new places. One thing I would like to bring to your attention regarding you video on Tugaloo State Park is the correct pronunciation of its name. It is pronounced "TO GAH LOW" with the second "o" being silent. The original spelling which can be found in the books on the History of Lavonia and the History of Hart County, was Tugalo, an Indian name also used as the name for the river that merged with the Seneca River to form the Savannah River which is the source of water for Lake Hartwell. The second "o" was added to the spelling sometime in the 50s by a Corp of Engineers employee with no knowledge of its history and it stuck. Those of us who grew up here still call it Tugalo.
I’ve been watching a lot of camping videos lately. Yours is the best! Excellent videos and commentary, very informative and helpful. Thank you... great!
Wonderful guide from you on this State Park and great info about the park and site # also cabins . Look forward to more videos from you and Joan . Thank's from Augusta Georgia.
I love Tagaloo. The first time I camped there I was 15 years old. I’m 56 now so that quite a while. . We’ve taken family vacations there many summers. Lake Hartwell is beautiful. There are lots of islands where you can stop and swim or picnic. One of our favorite things to do Is take our boat from Tagaloo up to Clemson, SC. There is a nice marina and restaurant right across the lake from Clemson University. You can see Death Valley (Clemson’s football stadium ) from the lake. Lake Hartwell is very well marked so navigating the lake is pretty simple. All you need is a good lake map and plenty of gas.
Years ago we had reservations at Tallulah Falls and were moved to Tugaloo (renovations or something at Tallulah) We were kinda disappointed because we wanted to stay at the Falls but Tugaloo has become one of our top 5 campgrounds and we’ve been doing this for > 30 years!
I Love RV Life so far it’s been enjoyable , with the storm rolling in we decided to head out a day earlier 😔. Also a great idea with the pieces of noodles on your slide out. I cracked my head Monday on ours 😩
Several years ago the lake was real low and some fishermen found a cemetery that didn't get moved when the lake was built. They moved the graves to a cemetery and put up markers at one of the rest areas. It was part of my Cleveland family.
We love your channel! We’ve been looking at possibly purchasing and running a campground in the area you cruise in and you’ve given us a great insight into what campers are looking for. Thank you!
Love Tugaloo! Have camped there 4 times and are going back the first week of December for a week. We booked site #54 and love it, our favorite. Have you been over to Gumlog BBQ? Not bad. Just found and subscribed to your channel.
Thanks a bunch for the sub. We had a busy few weeks before arriving and just chilled at the lake all week. Really enjoy good BBQ. We add Gumlog to our list next trip.
I just came back from this Campground, I wanted to let you know I was on site 90 we were going to stay here for a week and we didn't like that spot too much, I wanted to let you know that's kind of interesting if you go to the office you can ask if there's any cancellations or availability, and we were able to move to a different suit that actually suited us better Thank you for your videos I like them very much they're very informative thank you
It’s tough to find any open this year with COVID. North Carolina is rich in bluegrass. Here’s a good reference www.visitnc.com/story/SHxw/bluegrass-music-venues-across-north-carolina. If you can make it to Bristol, this is a great event for bluegrass and Americana bristolrhythm2021.com/
Billy’s one of the best flatpickers I’ve ever heard. As my friend who introduced me to bluegrass sometime ago said: “Ooo Weee Jury. If he keeps pickin on it like that, it’s never gonna heal.” Not sure what that meant, but I agree 😏
Kinda. With a 50 amp RV, there’s 2 power legs of 50 each that is split in the breaker box. The dual 30 amp adapter gives us 30 amps availability on each leg. Yesterday we were able to run both ACs at the same time. Nice to have during these dog days of summer.

Thanks Renita. Glad to help.
Nice looking state park love that they give you a senior and res discount wish that Oregon did that.
It is a nice benefit. Most of the SE states do this.

Joan, such a beautiful wreath on the door. Really a beautiful park
Thanks. I like adding the decorations for the seasons. Those little thing to make our RV home. Joan
Love your reviews! We just bought a RV in Fall of 2020 and Tugaloo will be our 3rd trip (2nd Georgia state park). I booked site 53.

HAHA "Georgia can be humid in the summer time" is the understatement of the tear! It's a lovely 90% at 0800,
I know...right! Someone asked me what the humidity felt like. I said it feels like home 😏
Glad to see you back out!

AT&T and Verizon voice service is very good. AT&T has the better of the two for data service.
Lake Hartwell

It's called lake Hartwell not Harding
dual 30, does that mean you’re drawing 60 amps?
Kinda. With a 50 amp RV, there’s 2 power legs of 50 each that is split in the breaker box. The dual 30 amp adapter gives us 30 amps availability on each leg. Yesterday we were able to run both ACs at the same time. Nice to have during these dog days of summer.
Instead of your whole panel pulling from 1 30a breaker, this splitter puts half of your panel on a 30 and the other half on another 30.
We’ve had a total of 45 amps [22 amps on one leg and 13 on the other) with both ACs running at times with no problems and didn’t throw the mains.
