Top video, that's why most of us never sit down and work it all out, counterbalance the spend with its looking good, running great no major service repair upcoming cause you've done it all, sound for next 12 months depending on what mods you decide on.

"this is an expensive cheap car" xD xD So true mate. Great video. Really great to know I'm not the only one haha. I don't even want to know what my total is. My car was 3 grand more than yours, did less mileage and was slightly newer, but the body work wasn't perfect on it, few dints on the bonnet that are still there now. And now its had a new TT RS bumper/grille and all four Aftermarker lights fitted - CRINGE!!!! Not to mention all the other mods you've seen lol.
But that's the thing. Even if you were to save up £14k, you could get a TTS Black Edition, but still end up modding it. So its a catch 22.

Thats quite a lot. I deliberately got an s-line for 19" wheels, lower suspension and Bose. They are areas that can be pricey if you wish to improve. Although i have changed the headunit 😉

If you can do the work yourself, you could save a lot but not everyone can do that.

I have the thermostat problem, how difficult was it to change yourself?

Cheers mate 👍 I took the alternator off and went through that side to get to it.its a pig of a job I wouldn't want to do it again but its doable some take the inlet manifold off

My mechanic was expecting a 5minute job that became 1h and a half... that thermostat is on a hard place

Yeah its not as easy as you think when you tell someone to change the thermostat they think its straightforward but on these engine its certainly not

Tinted front number plate would set it off nice I’ve got one on my TT, so much better

My Uno turbo and my race engine metro and my Saab cabriolet all together including the cars I have still spent less and my Uno is now worth 18k on insurance valve and my metro is worth £6k on insurance valve
